Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: During my personal Christian walk. My Search for the true meaning of love. I walked through a life-long, hurt filled as well as many racist experiences. "My milk chocolate self was offensive to the world, especially to the African American Man." Growing up within the 70's the very most of my lessons were learned through heart ache and pain. The ultimate lesson of whom Love is at the exact same time taught me exactly what love does and or does not do. YAHWEH thank You Father for Your Graces and Mercies within waiting for me to get it together. Once I was able to allow YAHWEH to heal my broken heart as He finally made me sit still in January of 2013 and I had no choice but to finally listen. By way of me having my very first exacerbation and then being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I was feeling as if I were dying, extremely confused, mentally lost and desperate and I was afraid and scared. Something I had never been in my entire life for no amount of reason. Now pleading and crying for one more chance to obey YAHWEH's beacon. For a month in the Hospital and then rehab. I prayed, I begged, I finally submitted. Father please, I'll get it done this time. It took some time for me to get any of my unconfused thoughts in order and I am still not 100 % myself. However, I am getting there. Even the fact that I am writing this book is a great faith builder for myself. I am smiling all over the place. Thank YOU YAHWEH Deborah LaDon Scott was born November 29th, 1973, in Detroit, Michigan, moving from the Eastside and North End to Northwest and finally Southwest Detroit within the multicultural neighborhoods. She lived in Ohio--Gates Mills for one year, Eastside close to East Cleveland for one year, and finally Lakewood, Ohio, the multicultural neighborhood, for four years and then came back home.

Beloved Bible teacher Sheila Walsh teaches readers how the daily spiritual practices of confession, meditation on God’s Word, and prayer result in fresh freedom in Christ. In her long-awaited book, Sheila Walsh equips women with a practical method for connecting with God’s strength in the midst of struggle. From daily frustrations that can feel like overwhelming obstacles to hard challenges that turn into rock-bottom crises, women will find the means to equip themselves for standing strong with God. Using the spiritual applications of confession, prayer, and meditation on Scripture to form a daily connection to Jesus, women will learn how to experience new joy as a child of God who is fully known, fully loved, and fully accepted. In In the Middle of the Mess, Walsh reveals the hardened defenses that kept her from allowing God into her deepest hurts and shares how entering into a safe place with God and practicing this daily connection with him have saved her from the devil’s prowling attacks. Though we will never be completely “fixed” on earth, we are continually held by Jesus, whatever our circumstances. Sheila Walsh acts as our guardian in In the Middle of the Mess as she shows us we’re not alone in our struggles, guides us through a courageous journey of self-discovery, and reminds us where to find hope, comfort, and strength in tough times.

Book excerpt: This book, The Book of It, is not the ultimate and single explanation of what its author has uncovered by years of reading, research, and listening to the words and teachings of others. The fact is that the only part of It that can be described by a single strand within The Book of It explains, at times cryptically, the journey of its author through the strands of It that he himself has encountered. Strands passing across history, through literature and religious texts and philosophies, and even into the legends of the world. It can easily be seen as the tale of unknown centuries of people easily manipulated by virtue of what they wish to have and how they are taught or led to obtain it, along with what they are oftentimes kept willingly ignorant of as they unknowingly push an apparently undying school of thought and way of life crashing forward through time. It is not so much the story of some grand conspiracy as it is the story of people blinded by imagined desires and glories. Individuals working at the same time, but neither with or without the perceived aid of each other down the path to attaining. It contains a strand of common legends, stories, lessons, and teachings that are somehow known the world over. Stories of once great empires and their cities and peoples now long forgotten, at least one great war, masters who exploited mass populations kept in ignorance, of the same monumental disasters, and of the destruction of it all over and over so that another chance can be given to creation along with the chance to finally build a truly eternal civilization and culture, and more.

This book was released on 2022-09-15 with total page 257 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: INVENTING THE TRUTH: MEMORY AND ITS TRICKS offers a collection of essays dealing with the author's life experiences as a gay man. Because exact accuracy is alien to the way memory works, the verifiable fictions in this book are, necessarily, inventions of the truth. Included essays examine the author's early cross-dressing and other childhood challenges to his birth gender, the important formative influences on him of his Catholic parish and school and the local public library, and his belated and complicated coming out as a gay man. Another essay offers a dialectic between lust and love. Defining himself as a "Promiscuous Hedonist" for most of his adult life, the author at long last discovered that love was real and that he could love another man in his own gay way. Subsequent essays investigate the influence on the author of his two immigrant grandfathers and the unsavory memories of a racist past growing up in Louisiana in the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. A further essay explores the author's primal fears of darkness and death and how he achieved a satisfactory resolution of those fears. A final essay explores the reams of war-time letters that constituted the courtship of the author's parents who maintained their connection through letters for the nearly three years they were apart during WWII. These letters focus on the challenging beginnings of a 54-year love affair as well as on conditions during the war of a soldier overseas and his intended at home in Ohio whom he was courting by near-daily correspondence. The essays in this book offer accounts of seminal remembered experiences in the author's past now interpreted in a language unavailable to him at the time those experiences were occurring. In these reliable accounts, the author tells the truth about his gay life in the most honest way he knows how to invent it.
