Book Synopsis The Theory of H(b) Spaces: Volume 1 by : Emmanuel Fricain
Download or read book The Theory of H(b) Spaces: Volume 1 written by Emmanuel Fricain and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2016-05-26 with total page 703 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An H(b) space is defined as a collection of analytic functions which are in the image of an operator. The theory of H(b) spaces bridges two classical subjects: complex analysis and operator theory, which makes it both appealing and demanding. The first volume of this comprehensive treatment is devoted to the preliminary subjects required to understand the foundation of H(b) spaces, such as Hardy spaces, Fourier analysis, integral representation theorems, Carleson measures, Toeplitz and Hankel operators, various types of shift operators, and Clark measures. The second volume focuses on the central theory. Both books are accessible to graduate students as well as researchers: each volume contains numerous exercises and hints, and figures are included throughout to illustrate the theory. Together, these two volumes provide everything the reader needs to understand and appreciate this beautiful branch of mathematics.

Book Synopsis Homeostatic Blood States Theory by : Audrius Andrijauskas
Download or read book Homeostatic Blood States Theory written by Audrius Andrijauskas and published by Universal-Publishers. This book was released on 2008-01-31 with total page 272 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Intravenous fluid and blood component resuscitation is an integral part of modern medicine practice in a variety of medical fields. However, these therapies are usually led by rigid and very approximate guidelines. The purpose of creating the Homeostatic blood states theory was to develop more accurate guidelines. On the basis of the new theory the following results have been reached: 1. The physiological-mathematical model explaining blood volume homeostasis has been created; 2. Nomograms for infusion therapy measures, blood loss evaluation and calculating red blood cell transfusion amount were proposed; 3. Nomograms were built on the background of interfering relationship of blood hematocrit and hemoglobin concentration; 4. New guidelines for infusion therapy, blood loss evaluation and calculating transfusion amount for proper hematocrit increase were proposed; 5. New method for early verification of occult bleeding has been suggested. Three major homeostatic blood states were described: (1) target state, (2) state of maximal isoosmotic plasma dilution and (3) dehydration. Target states maintain optimal red cell mass and blood volume correlation. Other two maintain critical plasma hydration origin deviations from target state. Three new nomograms enable planning and evaluation of infusion therapy and red cell mass transfusion, quantitate evaluation of blood loss and early detection of occult bleeding based on the dynamics of blood hematocrit and hemoglobin concentration.
Book Synopsis Physics Of Reality, The: Space, Time, Matter, Cosmos - Proceedings Of The 8th Symposium Honoring Mathematical Physicist Jean-pierre Vigier by : Richard L Amoroso
Download or read book Physics Of Reality, The: Space, Time, Matter, Cosmos - Proceedings Of The 8th Symposium Honoring Mathematical Physicist Jean-pierre Vigier written by Richard L Amoroso and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 2013-09-18 with total page 552 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A truly Galilean-class volume, this book introduces a new method in theory formation, completing the tools of epistemology. It covers a broad spectrum of theoretical and mathematical physics by researchers from over 20 nations from four continents. Like Vigier himself, the Vigier symposia are noted for addressing avant-garde, cutting-edge topics in contemporary physics. Among the six proceedings honoring J.-P. Vigier, this is perhaps the most exciting one as several important breakthroughs are introduced for the first time. The most interesting breakthrough in view of the recent NIST experimental violations of QED is a continuation of the pioneering work by Vigier on tight bound states in hydrogen. The new experimental protocol described not only promises empirical proof of large-scale extra dimensions in conjunction with avenues for testing string theory, but also implies the birth of the field of unified field mechanics, ushering in a new age of discovery. Work on quantum computing redefines the qubit in a manner that the uncertainty principle may be routinely violated. Other breakthroughs occur in the utility of quaternion algebra in extending our understanding of the nature of the fermionic singularity or point particle. There are several other discoveries of equal magnitude, making this volume a must-have acquisition for the library of any serious forward-looking researchers.

Book Synopsis Space Groups and Their Representations by : Gertjan Koster
Download or read book Space Groups and Their Representations written by Gertjan Koster and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2012-12-02 with total page 89 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Space Groups and Their Representations focuses on the discussions on space groups and their corresponding numerical and analytical representations. Divided into six chapters, the book starts with the presentation of the nature and properties of space groups. This topic includes orthogonal transformations and Bravais lattices, such as cubic system, triclinic system, trigonal and hexagonal systems, monoclinic systems, and tetragonal systems. The book then proceeds with the discussion on the irreducible representations of space groups, and then covers the general theory, simplification, and introduction. Discussions on various examples of space groups are given in the third chapter. Numerical representations are provided to support the validity of the different space groups, including discussions on double groups. The book also points out that the irreducible representation of space groups and the application of representation theory to them manifest the latest developments on geometrical crystallography. The text is a vital source of data for scholars and readers who are interested to study space groups and crystallography.
Book Synopsis Aspects of Scattering Amplitudes and Moduli Space Localization by : Sebastian Mizera
Download or read book Aspects of Scattering Amplitudes and Moduli Space Localization written by Sebastian Mizera and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2020-09-23 with total page 148 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This thesis proposes a new perspective on scattering amplitudes in quantum field theories. Their standard formulation in terms of sums over Feynman diagrams is replaced by a computation of geometric invariants, called intersection numbers, on moduli spaces of Riemann surfaces. It therefore gives a physical interpretation of intersection numbers, which have been extensively studied in the mathematics literature in the context of generalized hypergeometric functions. This book explores physical consequences of this formulation, such as recursion relations, connections to geometry and string theory, as well as a phenomenon called moduli space localization. After reviewing necessary mathematical background, including topology of moduli spaces of Riemann spheres with punctures and its fundamental group, the definition and properties of intersection numbers are presented. A comprehensive list of applications and relations to other objects is given, including those to scattering amplitudes in open- and closed-string theories. The highlights of the thesis are the results regarding localization properties of intersection numbers in two opposite limits: in the low- and the high-energy expansion. In order to facilitate efficient computations of intersection numbers the author introduces recursion relations that exploit fibration properties of the moduli space. These are formulated in terms of so-called braid matrices that encode the information of how points braid around each other on the corresponding Riemann surface. Numerous application of this approach are presented for computation of scattering amplitudes in various gauge and gravity theories. This book comes with an extensive appendix that gives a pedagogical introduction to the topic of homologies with coefficients in a local system.
Book Synopsis Topological Vector Spaces I by : Gottfried Köthe
Download or read book Topological Vector Spaces I written by Gottfried Köthe and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 470 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It is the author's aim to give a systematic account of the most im portant ideas, methods and results of the theory of topological vector spaces. After a rapid development during the last 15 years, this theory has now achieved a form which makes such an account seem both possible and desirable. This present first volume begins with the fundamental ideas of general topology. These are of crucial importance for the theory that follows, and so it seems necessary to give a concise account, giving complete proofs. This also has the advantage that the only preliminary knowledge required for reading this book is of classical analysis and set theory. In the second chapter, infinite dimensional linear algebra is considered in comparative detail. As a result, the concept of dual pair and linear topologies on vector spaces over arbitrary fields are intro duced in a natural way. It appears to the author to be of interest to follow the theory of these linearly topologised spaces quite far, since this theory can be developed in a way which closely resembles the theory of locally convex spaces. It should however be stressed that this part of chapter two is not needed for the comprehension of the later chapters. Chapter three is concerned with real and complex topological vector spaces. The classical results of Banach's theory are given here, as are fundamental results about convex sets in infinite dimensional spaces.
