Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Following the appearance of flying saucers in 1947, the world experienced a wave of UFOs for several years. By 1955, however, sightings appeared to have dropped significantly. Gray Barker took advantage of this break in ufological action to collect a series of articles that might explain what was going on. The articles herein not only describe, in detail, the various characteristics of the UFOs and their occupants, but also make it clear that UFO sightings and "contacts" were still continuing - they just weren't being reported by the mainstream media anymore. This special 2014 reprint of Saucerian Review's "Report on Flying Saucers" is an exact facsimile of the original, and features rare and illuminating articles by Barker, George Adamski, Morris K. Jessup, Jacqueline Sanders, Alice K. Wells, Laimon Mitris, and others. There is also an on-the-scene report from the site of the famous Hopkinsville, Kentucky "monster" incident, where a family shot at UFOs and little green aliens that were attacking their farm. This handcrafted gem is filled with wonderful illustrations and photos of the period, funky ads, field reports of famous cases, and a good amount of insight and wit. Adamski's scathing article about trickster Jim Moseley is just one of many special treats. A necessary addition to the shelf of today's historically minded saucer enthusiast.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The SAUCERIAN was a saucer magazine founded by Gray Barker, as editor. The main idea behind The SAUCERIAN, like many similar publications of that time, was to create a forum for UFO experience and saucer sightings for the purpose of the investigation of spacecraft, extra-terrestrial travel, and other subjects relating to these matters in order to encourage public support of projects in connection with these phenomena. The SAUCERIAN was published under the banner of Barker's Saucerian Books. Gray Barker (May 2, 1925 - December 6, 1984) was an American writer best known for his books about UFOs and other paranormal phenomena. His 1956 book They Knew Too Much About Flying Saucers introduced the notion of the Men in Black to UFO folklore. He spent most of his life in central West Virginia, earning a degree from Glenville State College, teaching school, and booking acts for local theaters. Barker's interest in unidentified flying objects was sparked by mysterious sightings of the Flatwoods Monster in 1952. Following the 1967 collapse of the Silver Bridge in Point Pleasant, Barker published his next book, The Silver Bridge, which popularized the Mothman legend. In 1983, he wrote MIB, The Terror Among Us, about the Men in Black. Saucerian Publisher was founded with the mission of promoting books in Science Fiction. Our vision is to preserve the legacy of literary history by reprint editions of books which have already been exhausted or are difficult to obtain. Our goal is to help readers, educators and researchers by bringing back original publications that are difficult to find at reasonable price, while preserving the legacy of universal knowledge. Very rare The SAUCERIAN collection! This is a rare set of The SAUCERIAN issues published by Gray Barker between 1953 and 1955. These are VERY hard to come across these days. We decided to published them as a collected edition as a set (6 issues) to make it easier for someone to add them to their flying saucer / UFO collection. This book is an authentic reproduction of the original printed text in shades of gray. ___Copy and paste the link for our books: https: //saucerianbooks.blogspot.com/ ___

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It is generally a good idea to return to the classics in any genre. This also goes for UFO literature. Rereading a book after ten or twenty years is a rewarding experience. You will discover new data and ideas you didn ́t notice before. The reason, of course, is that you are, in many ways, not the same person reading the book the second or third time. Hopefully you have advanced in knowledge, experience, intellectual and spiritual discernment. A good starting point is to reread the contactee classics of the 1960s, in order to understand the deeper mystery involved in what happened during that era. The Flying Saucer Review was published under the banner of the Flying saucer Service, ltd, a London based UFO research by Charles Bowen. It issued a bimonthly magazine: Flying Saucer Review. This publication, like many others of that time, was a forum for fortean experience and UFO sightings.Saucerian Publisher was founded with the mission of promoting books in Science Fiction. Our vision is to preserve the legacy of literary history by reprint editions of books which have already been exhausted or are difficult to obtain. Our goal is to help readers, educators and researchers by bringing back original publications that are difficult to find at reasonable price, while preserving the legacy of universal knowledge. This book is an authentic reproduction of the original printed text in shades of gray. IMPORTANT, despite the fact that we have attempted to accurately maintain the integrity of the original work, the present reproduction may have minor errors beyond our control like: missing and blurred pages, poor pictures and readers' pencil markings from the original scanned copy. Because this book is culturally important, we have made available as part of our commitment to protect, preserve and promote knowledge in the world. Some of the issues could be missing. This collected edition is an authentic reproduction of FLYING SAUCER REVIEW . Great, but unpretentious, these special issues are extraordinarily rare symbols by themselves of what was going on in those early years of the modern UFO phenomena. This collective edition of: FLYING SAUCER REVIEW has the following special issues: FSR-SI 1966 N 1, The Humanoids; FSR-SI 1969 N 2, Beyond Condon; FSR-SI 1969 N 3, UFO Percipients; FSR-SI 1971 N 4, UFOs in Two Worlds; FSR-SI 1973 N 5, UFO Encounters.___Copy and paste the link for our books: https: //saucerianbooks.blogspot.com/ ______

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A voyage of exploration to the outer reaches of our inner lives. UFOs are a myth, says David J. Halperin—but myths are real. The power and fascination of the UFO has nothing to do with space travel or life on other planets. It's about us, our longings and terrors, and especially the greatest terror of all: the end of our existence. This is a book about UFOs that goes beyond believing in them or debunking them and to a fresh understanding of what they tell us about ourselves as individuals, as a culture, and as a species. In the 1960s, Halperin was a teenage UFOlogist, convinced that flying saucers were real and that it was his life's mission to solve their mystery. He would become a professor of religious studies, with traditions of heavenly journeys his specialty. With Intimate Alien, he looks back to explore what UFOs once meant to him as a boy growing up in a home haunted by death and what they still mean for millions, believers and deniers alike. From the prehistoric Balkans to the deserts of New Mexico, from the biblical visions of Ezekiel to modern abduction encounters, Intimate Alien traces the hidden story of the UFO. It's a human story from beginning to end, no less mysterious and fantastic for its earthliness. A collective cultural dream, UFOs transport us to the outer limits of that most alien yet intimate frontier, our own inner space.

Sifting through hundreds of historical and government documents, interviewing multitudes of participants, and tracking countless number of leads, a former army officer, trained as an intelligence officer, presents a case for government incompetence and, potentially, malfeasance. Shining a harsh light on the government and its secrets, The Government UFO Files: The Conspiracy of Cover-Up investigates what the government knows about encounters with UFOs, alien life, and mysterious activities. The government has long collected information and assembled files on unidentified objects, extraterrestrial encounters, and strange convergences in the skies, but with new government secrets constantly being revealed (including finally admitting the existence of Area 51) is it too much to believe that it is hiding important information on close encounters, UFOs, and alien life? Nearly 100 sightings and other occurrences are thoroughly examined. Suppressed evidence, hidden plots, cover-ups, misleading statements, and documented connections to government intrigue are all addressed. It sorts through the information, sources, and it lets you decide whether the government is being deliberately misleading or whether the conspiracy theories have gotten out of control.

Book excerpt: Does the U.S. government know more about UFO and alien life than it admits? Are eyewitnesses telling the truth? What does the historical record say? Former intelligence officer and retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel Kevin Randle takes an objective look at evidence for alien life and UFOs and presents his findings in The UFO Dossier: 100 Years of Government Secrets, Conspiracies and Cover Ups. The author reviews the documents, scours government databases, and interviews witnesses, unearthing details on UFOs, mysterious crashes, sightings, encounters, and related phenomena. The UFO Dossier presents plots, cover-ups, misleading statements, and documented connections to government intrigue—as well as hoaxes and problematic authentications. Following leads and digging into the files of the CIA, the FBI, the FAA, NASA, the Army, Navy, Air Force, and other U.S. government and international agencies, Randle lets the facts guide him. From a short history of UFO projects and the Condon Committee to the complete COMETA report and UFOs in the 21st century, investigations include … • Asteroids, meteors and UFOs (Tunguska, Battle of LA, Whitted Sighting, …) • Photographs (McMinnville, Tremonton UFO Movie, Bear Mt. St. Park, …) • Injuries by UFOs (Fort Itaipu; Cedar City, Utah; Leominster, MA; …) • Lights in the Night Sky (Lubbock Lights, Belgium Triangle, New Jersey Lights, …) • Scientists and UFOs (Agoura, CA; Artesia, NM; University of Brazil, …) • And more ...
