Download or read book Sacred Pathways written by Gary Thomas and published by Zondervan. This book was released on 2020-09-08 with total page 289 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Sacred Pathways reveals nine distinct spiritual temperaments--and their strengths, weaknesses, and tendencies--to help you improve your spiritual life and deepen your personal walk with God. It's time to strip away the frustration of a one-size-fits-all spirituality and discover a path of worship that frees you to be you. Experienced spiritual directors, pastors, and church leaders recognize that all of us engage with God differently, and it's about time we do too. In this updated and expanded edition of Sacred Pathways, Gary Thomas details nine spiritual temperaments and--like the Enneagram and other tools do with personality--encourages you to investigate the ways you most naturally express yourself in your relationship with God. He encourages you to dig into the traits, strengths, and pitfalls in your devotional approach so you can eliminate the barriers that keep you locked into rigid methods of worship and praise. Plus, as you begin to identify and understand your own temperament, you'll soon learn about the temperaments that aren't necessarily "you" but that may help you understand the spiritual tendencies of friends, family, and others around you. Whatever temperament or blend of temperaments best describes you, rest assured it's not by accident. It's by the design of a Creator who knew what he was doing when he made you according to his own unique intentions. If your spiritual walk is not what you'd like it to be, you can change that, starting here. Sacred Pathways will show you the route you were made to travel, marked by growth and filled with the riches of a close walk with God. A Sacred Pathways video Bible study is also available for group or individual use, sold separately.

Book Synopsis Spirit Walk (Special Edition) by : Steve Smith
Download or read book Spirit Walk (Special Edition) written by Steve Smith and published by William Carey Publishing. This book was released on 2020-03-11 with total page 250 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Holy Spirit is the Hidden Mover behind all personal life transformation and ministry fruitfulness. Since the original publication of Spirit Walk, author Steve Smith has gone home to meet the Lord face-to-face. However, before that glorious day, he penned an impassioned plea to believers in the last days of his life. That plea and piece of instruction is what comprises the new foreword in this special edition of Spirit Walk. Read and be both challenged and invited to a life lived in the power of the Holy Spirit. Though we know the Bible says to walk in the Spirit, the majority of Christians are illiterate (and even nervous) about how to practically live in His power. The result is lives marred by continued brokenness and ministries plagued by fruitlessness. In contrast, believers from Acts understood the ancient path of the Spirit Walk. That extraordinary power was not just for them, but also for us. Gleaning insights from implementation in dozens of Acts-like movements around the world, Spirit Walk “lifts the hood and shows us the real secret behind apostolic, disciple multiplying movements” (Neil Cole, author of Organic Church). Whether you need a movement of God in your personal life or in your ministry, this book takes you through the timeless principles of the Bible. The Spirit Walk path has helped thousands of ordinary people shift from a fundamental reliance upon methods and self-helps to the essential reliance upon the Spirit who empowers both. Discover how to start on your lifelong journey of being filled again and again by the Holy Spirit as you abide in Christ.

Book Synopsis The Dissolving Path by : Choir Korneli Leviyey
Download or read book The Dissolving Path written by Choir Korneli Leviyey and published by Choir Korneli Leviyey. This book was released on 2023-10-01 with total page 362 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Dissolving Path is a semi-organized diary of sorts which combines three separate texts from the period of 2019-2020, including: Cactus Patch (composed of all the material that was cut from Clyssus of Man during editing), a collection of writings collectively regarded as The Ashland Texts which was maintained in the weeks leading up to Leviyey’s final astragon, and lastly an untitled lot of notes written prior to and alongside Clyssus of Man as a means of exorcising all of the obsessive and traumatic thoughts for which he otherwise had no outlet. The Dissolving Path strips away the gloss coat of mythopoeia and allegory so prominent within Leviyey’s other works to present a very stark, straightforward look into his innermost conflicts and motivations—with most of the focus being given to his strained relationship with human society. Though originally intended to be released as a supplementary text available only to avid readers of Leviyey’s work, the author has chosen to bring it before a wider audience in the belief that it forms an indispensable part of his canon even if its contents no longer represent his stance and outlook. Since this book contains information that may spoil the events of Clyssus of Man, it is recommend that readers read Clyssus of Man before reading The Dissolving Path.
