Therefore, the new convert has very little knowledge on how to make the transition from living the sinners life living a separated life that is filled with forgiveness and charity. They arent trained to forgive and forget the sins and trespasses that are rendered against them. They know not that the Holy Spirit lives in their heart and will tell them exactly what to do in every step they take and how to respond to every encounter they have, whether it be positive or negative. They know not that God will take care of the regardless in the wake of slander, financial hardships, or physical devastation. They hear sermons from the pulpit about tithing but have no concept how to start or how it will affect their life if they start tithing on a regular basis. They are unprepared to deal with gossip and verbal bullying that they will encounter. They are members of a church for years and have no concept of how to effectively pray in public or how to witness effectively to a lost person. This book is not written for a specific denomination. It is written as a guide to all new converts.

Whether you’re a new Christian or you’ve walked the road for decades, it’s never too late to find the critical truths that make life make sense. We often start out believing that common sense will be enough, that we’re prepared for the road ahead with our good values and quick thinking. It doesn’t take long to learn otherwise. A broken friendship. An obsessive career. Financial distress. Even empty success. We come back to God, searching for insight, for hope. And He provides. Nothing can replace studying the Bible. Best-selling author and pastor Charles Swindoll has spent decades studying its pages and teaching its precepts. But if sixty-six books seem overwhelming, The Owner’s Manual for Christians is the perfect starting place: a biblical summary of the major truths that anchor the Christian life. From grace to freedom, these chapters walk the reader through the keys to a life well lived?drawn from the Creator of life itself. Life is often confusing, but it does not have to be impossible. Read The Owner’s Manual for Christians and find hope for the road ahead.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Believers Foundations Training Manual is a must study book for any newly born again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. The book is also strongly recommended study for any believer who wants to ensure their foundational roots in the Word of God grows deeper. Many church groups do not have consistent training material for the newly born-again Christian. These are, for the most part, left to feed on scraps they could find here and there. Those who provide any such material seldom address critical and pertinent questions the new babe in Christ may have. The world is more complex, and has unique challenging puzzles for the Christian faith; especially for the new Christian. This manual is designed to support the new Christian in the quest to seek the Lord Jesus from the very pages of the Holy Scriptures. This manual also equips the new believer to also not accept anything at face value, but ask good questions for clarification. This comes from the premise that the Holy Scriptures have the answers. The believer is imbibed with the notion that the answers, that the Lord Jesus has revealed, can be known in the pages of the scriptures through diligent search. For those of us who are older in the faith, you may have some of your long-held beliefs challenged by biblical textual evidence. We all need this learning curve to help us grow. Its a tremendous journey. Come aboard. For those who know it all, this manual is not for you.

Book excerpt: This thorough and biblical discipleship manual will prove to be practical and edifying to those who are new believers and will challenge those who have known Christ longer to go forward to greater Christ-likeness and spiritual maturity. These four biblical alphabets can be used in many settings: personal study, one-on-one discipleship, small groups, Sunday school class curriculum and Christian school and home school Bible study material. “Christian Growth from A to Z is a wonderful help to lead a Christian from salvation to maturity in Christ. This is an excellent help for those mentoring new converts or students in Sunday school and other class settings. I especially appreciate the focus on knowing God and His attributes. It is evident that this work comes out of the many needs that Brother Lowery has seen after many years of ministry.” -Dr. Les Ollila, Chancellor, Northland Baptist Bible College

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: After we’ve come to faith in Christ, God leaves us in this world for a very clear purpose: his own glory. But how are we to glorify God for the rest of our lives? The Bible reveals that God has laid before every Christian two infinite journeys which we are to travel every day: the internal journey of growth into Christlike maturity, and the external journey of worldwide evangelism and missions. This book is a road map for the internal journey, laying out how we are to grow in four major areas: knowledge, faith, character, and action. In this book, we’ll learn how God grows us in knowledge, faith, character, and action. We’ll also discover that spiritual knowledge constantly feeds our growing faith, faith will transform our character, our transformed character will result in an array of actions more and more glorifying to God, and our actions will feed our spiritual knowledge. This upward spiral will lead us to become more and more like Jesus Christ in holiness. And not only will this book help us understand Christian growth in detail, it will also give us a passion to grow every day for his glory.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What Life as a Christian Really Looks Like New believers need to know what to expect. While many books cover the nuts and bolts of new faith--how to read the Bible, how to pray, how to find a church--in this book, Alex Early focuses on issues of the heart. What are Christians supposed to feel? What happens when they sin? What does God want from them? Designed to challenge and reassure, this book gives a realistic depiction of the Christian life, and includes such topics as how to rest in God's love, what forgiveness looks like when you blow it, what it means to find your identity in Christ, and how to pray with honesty and transparency. God isn't surprised when we struggle, and although being in a relationship with God is amazing, he never promised that this life would be easy. He can handle "real" people, and he pours out his reckless love regardless of what we do or think on any given day. We all need to be reminded of this, but especially those new to the faith. This book is ideal for new believers, but seasoned Christians should also have copies on hand to give away. Includes end-of-chapter questions and a "Christianese to English" glossary.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Spiritual Lessons for New Believers is a four-session study guide designed to help new believers grow. As the new believer’s first phase of follow-up, Spiritual Lessons for New Believers introduces the new convert to the ‘basics’ of Christianity. The four sessions include the reading content of instructive opening paragraphs, fill-in-the-blank questions, matching, some memorization, and some writing. The minimal qualifications needed to use the follow-up materials, as a discipler, are as follows: the discipler must himself be a believer and the discipler must be able to read. Filled with Scripture, the lessons in this inter-active book include studies on the new believer’s Faith in Jesus Christ, Life in Jesus Christ, Walk with Jesus Christ, and his Fellowship with Christ and His People. Topics covered include: A review of the salvation experience, Assurance, Scripture memorization, Spiritual growth, Prayer, The Bible, Witnessing, Living the Christ-life, The Lord’s return, Guarding against temptation, Church attendance, Baptism, The Lord’s Supper, Church Membership, and Fellowship with other believers. As an introductory study guide, Spiritual Lessons for New Believers flows into two other discipleship books by Keith D. Pisani: The second phase content study manual: Spiritual Lessons for Growing Believers which provides two transition studies: Baptism class and membership class, 26 ‘A to Z’ sessions on topics from Assurance to Zeal, and two discipler training sessions. The author’s fill-in-the-blank, companion workbook Spiritual Lessons for Growing Believers Workbook should be used with the ‘A to Z’ content manual. A fourth book in this series is Jesus Loves Me: A Follow-Up Guide for Children. All four books are published by WestBow Press.
