Book excerpt: * Exceptional reference tool for modelers * Free decals, masking foil and photo-etched brass The second major redesign for Willy Messerschmitt's jet fighter aircraft during 1939-40 gave birth to the F series. The "Friedrich" saw a complete redesign of the wings, the cooling system and fuselage aerodynamics. Considered by many as the high watermark of the Bf 109 development, the F series abandoned the wing cannon and concentrated all armament in the forward fuselage: a pair of machine guns above and a single 15 or 20mm cannon behind the engine. This configuration was used by all subsequent variants. A handful of Bf 109Fs were used operationally late in the Battle of Britain in 1940, but only become widespread in service in the first half of 1941, replacing the 109E. A highly detailed selection of drawings and full color profiles revealing the Bf 109F 'Frederich' and its sub-variants in 1/72, 1/48 and 1/32 scale. Includes pull-out drawings in 1/32 scale (Bf 109F-2/B and Bf 109F-4/R1), 4 pages of full-color profiles, and decals representing selected profiles in 1/72, 1/48, and 1/32 scale. About the Series This series of highly illustrated books present detailed scale drawings of aircraft and vehicles, with supporting color profile artwork. With detailed captions on the history, combat action and development of each machine, each volume is an exceptional reference tool for modelers, with extras such as free decals, masking foil and photo-etched brass.

Book Synopsis Introduction to Embedded Systems, Second Edition by : Edward Ashford Lee
Download or read book Introduction to Embedded Systems, Second Edition written by Edward Ashford Lee and published by MIT Press. This book was released on 2017-01-06 with total page 562 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An introduction to the engineering principles of embedded systems, with a focus on modeling, design, and analysis of cyber-physical systems. The most visible use of computers and software is processing information for human consumption. The vast majority of computers in use, however, are much less visible. They run the engine, brakes, seatbelts, airbag, and audio system in your car. They digitally encode your voice and construct a radio signal to send it from your cell phone to a base station. They command robots on a factory floor, power generation in a power plant, processes in a chemical plant, and traffic lights in a city. These less visible computers are called embedded systems, and the software they run is called embedded software. The principal challenges in designing and analyzing embedded systems stem from their interaction with physical processes. This book takes a cyber-physical approach to embedded systems, introducing the engineering concepts underlying embedded systems as a technology and as a subject of study. The focus is on modeling, design, and analysis of cyber-physical systems, which integrate computation, networking, and physical processes. The second edition offers two new chapters, several new exercises, and other improvements. The book can be used as a textbook at the advanced undergraduate or introductory graduate level and as a professional reference for practicing engineers and computer scientists. Readers should have some familiarity with machine structures, computer programming, basic discrete mathematics and algorithms, and signals and systems.

One of the first true modern fighters of the era, including such features as an all-metal monocoque construction, a closed canopy, and retractable landing gear, the Bf 109 was still in service at the dawn of the jet age at the end of World War II, during which it was the backbone of the German Luftwaffe fighter force. Originally conceived as an interceptor, later models were developed to fulfill multiple tasks, serving as bomber escort, fighter bomber, day-, night- all-weather fighter, bomber destroyer, ground-attack aircraft, and as reconnaissance aircraft. Through constant development, it remained competitive with the latest Allied fighter aircraft until the end of the war. Content covers: The Ostfront; Operations in Africa; Eastern Front 1943; In the defense of the Reich and Beyond the Polar Circle. About the Series Monographs focuses on an individual type of aircraft. Each monograph contains descriptions of the aircraft's origin, its variants and combat history. Book Synopsis Messerschmitt BF 109 F-K by : Willy Radinger
Download or read book Messerschmitt BF 109 F-K written by Willy Radinger and published by Schiffer Pub Limited. This book was released on 1999 with total page 158 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As the Luftwaffe's standard fighter, beginning in 1937 the Bf 109 was produced in large numbers and after the outbreak of the Second World War saw action over every front. With this light, high-performance aircraft Professor Willy Messerschmitt had created a ground-breaking design. The Bf 109 had to remain in continuous development in order to keep pace with advances in Allied fighter design. 1941 saw the advent of the Bf 109 F, a clearly improved version, which was soon replaced by the more powerful and better armed Bf 109 G. The Bf 109 H high-altitude fighter reached a ceiling of 14,000 meters, and the Bf 109 K, the most potent of all the variants of this fighter aircraft, entered production in the last year of the war. This is a complete summary of all versions from the Bf 109 F to K with many photographs, some never before published, and details.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Based on the popular Artech House classic, Digital Communication Systems Engineering with Software-Defined Radio, this book provides a practical approach to quickly learning the software-defined radio (SDR) concepts needed for work in the field. This up-to-date volume guides readers on how to quickly prototype wireless designs using SDR for real-world testing and experimentation. This book explores advanced wireless communication techniques such as OFDM, LTE, WLA, and hardware targeting. Readers will gain an understanding of the core concepts behind wireless hardware, such as the radio frequency front-end, analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters, as well as various processing technologies. Moreover, this volume includes chapters on timing estimation, matched filtering, frame synchronization message decoding, and source coding. The orthogonal frequency division multiplexing is explained and details about HDL code generation and deployment are provided. The book concludes with coverage of the WLAN toolbox with OFDM beacon reception and the LTE toolbox with downlink reception. Multiple case studies are provided throughout the book. Both MATLAB and Simulink source code are included to assist readers with their projects in the field.
