The author of this project looks at how hosting a book club will help women gain a new perspective on life. Utilizing a sacred book on any topic written by Black women would be engaging and informative. The discussions will occur in small group settings of no more than ten Black women interested in holistic healing in mind, body, soul, and spirit. The author’s goal in this intervention is to help Black Christian women move from silent lament to a faith-filled life. The author also believes this can assist Black Christian women in finding new ways to see God and the Holy Scriptures through everyday lived experiences as they share in honest and open dialogue.
