Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I was preparing to go out to minister in one of the towns in the Coastal Province part of Kenya, called Voi. My hosts, Home Alive church pastored by Pastor Christopher Obialor and his wife Chrisitine, once again had invited me to be a blessing to the Body of Christ. I have visited this church before and they have been great hosts to me. My friendship with the leaders and members of this congregation has grown with my last two visits. The trip to Voi was made earlier this year during my short visit to Kenya for a brief vacation and to spend time with my family members who live in Kenya. I was in Voi during the earlier part of the year for three days. During my time of prayer in my hotel room, I asked the Holy Spirit what message He had for the Body of Christ in Voi. I never step out to minister anywhere I have been invited to without first seeking God's direction. Why? Because these are God's people not my people. He knows what everybody is going through in their own personal lives and I don't. And He has a solution to their problems. And I hate going before God's people to share with them what I think God is saying to them without spending time and hearing from Him. You really cannot give what you don't have. That's another topic we have to deal with later. The impression in my spirit as I lay prostrate before God in that hotel room was very clear as the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart. He said, "Go and teach and preach the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. That is the message that Jesus taught and preached. That is the forgotten message that My church is not teaching and preaching today." That was it! I got my marching orders and instructions from God and I immediately knew that this message, 'The Gospel of the Kingdom of God' message is the forgotten message that the Church today is not teaching and preaching. The Holy Spirit continued speaking to my heart: "If the church wants to have the same results that Jesus got when He ministered on earth, then the church must teach and preach the same message He taught and preached."Should I shout here, "Wow" or "Boom! "to that powerful Word from the throne of grace? I got my Bible ready and started preparing for these meetings in Voi. I had my divine instructions from the Lord and that is all I needed from Him. My part was to obey and deliver the message He wanted me to deliver to His people. This book is about this forgotten message and why it is imperative for the church of Jesus Christ today to go back to what I may call the real basics; back to teaching and preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of God message and not the religious trash we have been teaching and preaching today. Why is this message so important to God? Are there other gospels that are being taught and preached out there? Let us take this journey together, dig deep into scriptures and find out what the Holy Spirit says about this message. This to me is the most important and forgotten message that the Church needs to return back to. I believe your life will be impacted by this message in a powerful way just as my life was and is as I continue to study and meditate on the Message of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. My prayer for you is that you will experience the Kingdom of heaven lifestyle in your own personal life as you read this book. Get ready for the journey of your life. Gideon M. MwololoAuthor.

The bestselling first edition ignited a conversation about how to harness the power of movements for the future growth of the church. In this major update, Hirsch shares significant insights gained along the way, provides fresh new examples of growing churches, and reflects on the last ten years of the missional movement. The new edition has been thoroughly updated and revised throughout and includes charts, diagrams, an expanded glossary of terms, new appendices, an index, a new foreword by Ed Stetzer, and a new afterword by Jeff Vanderstelt. Known for his innovative approach to mission, Hirsch is widely acknowledged as a thought leader and mission strategist for churches across the Western world. Book excerpt: The book focuses on uncovering lies and myths that sustain the colonial and European supremacist agendas and restores Africa’s role in originating civilisation, science, mathematics, philosophy, spirituality, and Christianity. It forms part of questioning the deification of Global North episteme as a universal theory. The volume thus contributes to Southern theorisation that draws from multiple practices and lived experiences of those from the austral geographic location (Global South) whose understanding of time is secular. Such theorisation challenges and denounces the imperialist gaze on contemporary science as the sole spectacle and arbiter of its significance in society. The Global South episteme, whose sources are indigenous practices, collective knowing, and collective experiences, has all the right to claim its stake in hallowed spaces of knowledge production.

FBI agent Brett Cody can't believe it; dead or alive, the man had loved his wife. He also can't help feeling guilty, since he was responsible for protecting Miguel and Maria Gomez. A few miles away, Lara Mayhew has just begun working at a dolphin research facility. She loves her new job—until a dolphin brings her something unexpected from the deep. A human hand. More body parts show up, and when Brett looks into the situation, he discovers that the dismembered corpse is Miguel's. Soon, rumors of crazed zombies abound in the Miami media, and the Krewe of Hunters, an elite FBI unit of paranormal investigators, is called in. Brett and Lara find themselves working with the Krewe—and working closely together. An elderly crime boss who's losing his memory seems to be key to solving this case, but…there's no motive. Unless Brett and Lara can uncover one in the Miami underworld. And that means they have to protect themselves. And each other.

Book excerpt: The astonishing, never before told story of the greatest rescue mission of World War II—when the OSS set out to recover more than 500 airmen trapped behind enemy lines in Yugoslavia... During a bombing campaign over Romanian oil fields, hundreds of American airmen were shot down in Nazi-occupied Yugoslavia. Local Serbian farmers and peasants risked their own lives to give refuge to the soldiers while they waited for rescue, and in 1944, Operation Halyard was born. The risks were incredible. The starving Americans in Yugoslavia had to construct a landing strip large enough for C-47 cargo planes—without tools, without alerting the Germans, and without endangering the villagers. And the cargo planes had to make it through enemy airspace and back—without getting shot down themselves. Classified for over half a century for political reasons, the full account of this unforgettable story of loyalty, self-sacrifice, and bravery is now being told for the first time ever. The Forgotten 500 is the gripping, behind-the-scenes look at the greatest escape of World War II. “Amazing [and] riveting.”—James Bradley, New York Times bestselling author of Flags of Our Fathers

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Although television is now dominant, radio surprisingly remains a medium of unparalleled power and importance. Worldwide, it continues to be the communications vehicle with the greatest outreach and impact. Every indicator - economic, demographic, social, and democratic - suggests that far from fading away, radio is returning to our consciousness, and back into the cultural mainstream.Marilyn J. Matelski reviews radio's glory days, arguing that the glory is not all in the past. B. Eric Rhoads continues Matelski's thoughts by explaining how and why radio has kept its vitality. The political history of radio is reviewed by Michael X. Delli Carpini, while David Bartlett shows how one of radio's prime functions has been to serve the public in time of disaster. Other contributors discuss radio as a cultural expression; the global airwaves; and the economic, regulatory, social, and technological structures of radio.Collectively, the contributors provide an intriguing study into the rich history of radio, and its impact on many areas of society. It provides a wealth of information for historians, sociologists, and communications and media scholars. Above all, it helps explain how media intersect, change focus, but still manage to survive and grow in a commercial environment.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In recent years, the work of the Bletchley Park codebreakers has caught the public’s imagination with books and films. While men such as Alan Turing and Dilly Knox have been recognized, Brigadier John Tiltman has been hardly mentioned. This overdue biography reveals that ‘The Brig’, as he was known, played a key role. After distinguished Great War military service, he established himself as a skilled codebreaker between the Wars, monitoring Russian and other unfriendly powers’ messages. During World War Two he was regarded as the most versatile of cryptographers, cracking a range of codes including Japanese ones. He made the first breakthrough against the German High Command Lorenz system and what he found led to the creation of machines including Colossus, the first recognisable computer. His lack of recognition may be down to his apparent lack of association with Enigma but, in truth, he was closely involved at the start. In addition to his cryptological brilliance, ‘The Brig’ was a gifted communicator and team-builder whose character combined charm, intelligence, determination and common sense. He was key to building the special relationship with our American partners both during and after the war. Harold Liberty’s biography shines light on a man whose contribution was essential to Britain’s survival and triumph in the Second World War.
