Book Synopsis The Particle Hierarchy Paradigm by : Don Briddell
Download or read book The Particle Hierarchy Paradigm written by Don Briddell and published by Field Structure Institute. This book was released on 2020-12-15 with total page 168 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Field Structure Theory is a research project into fundamental form and structure. This paper will explore one particular problem in physics, that of the particle hierarchy. While mass and energy values of particles have been known with exactitude, why they have these values has been unknown. Using the new analytic of Tometry and applying that analytic to Field Structure Theory explains the origin and structure of particles to a degree of accuracy beyond that capable of Standard Model that uses Quantum Mechanics to ascertain values. Key to this understanding is the simple and humble loop - a loop action or more precisely chiral loops of action. With loops of action, a universe can be constructed. This book will show how this is possible. It is all in how a Plenum loop interacts with itself. As will be shown, it is in three-dimensions loop interaction that forms arise as "fields" of action, condensing into matter and deploying into energy.

Book Synopsis The Decoding the Disciplines Paradigm by : David Pace
Download or read book The Decoding the Disciplines Paradigm written by David Pace and published by Indiana University Press. This book was released on 2017-02-27 with total page 178 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Teaching and learning in a college setting has never been more challenging. How can instructors reach out to their students and fully engage them in the conversation? Applicable to multiple disciplines, the Decoding the Disciplines Paradigm offers a radically new model for helping students respond to the challenges of college and provides a framework for understanding why students find academic life so arduous. Teachers can help their pupils overcome obstacles by identifying bottlenecks to learning and systematically exploring the steps needed to overcome these obstacles. Often, experts find it difficult to define the mental operations necessary to master their discipline because they have become so automatic that they are invisible. However, once these mental operations have been made explicit, the teacher can model them for students, create opportunities for practice and feedback, manage additional emotional obstacles, assess results, and share what has been learned with others.
Book Synopsis Beyond the May Fourth Paradigm by : Kai-wing Chow
Download or read book Beyond the May Fourth Paradigm written by Kai-wing Chow and published by Lexington Books. This book was released on 2008-04-18 with total page 352 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When did China make the decisive turn from tradition to modernity? For decades, the received wisdom would have pointed to the May Fourth movement, with its titanic battles between the champions of iconoclasm and the traditionalists, and its shift to more populist forms of politics. A growing body of recent research has, however, called into question how decisive the turn was, when it happened, and what relation the resulting modernity bore to the agendas of people who might have considered themselves representatives of such an iconoclastic movement. Having thus explicitly or implicitly 'decentered' the May Fourth, such research (augmented by contributions in the present volume) leaves us with the task of accounting for the shape Chinese modernity took, as the product of dialogues and debates between, and the interplay of, a variety of actors and trends, both within and (certainly no less importantly) without the May Fourth camp.

Book Synopsis Challenging the Innovation Paradigm by : Karl-Erik Sveiby
Download or read book Challenging the Innovation Paradigm written by Karl-Erik Sveiby and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2012-05-04 with total page 288 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Innovation is almost always seen as a "good thing". Challenging the Innovation Paradigm is a critical analysis of the innovation frenzy and contemporary innovation research. The one-sided focus on desirable effects of innovation misses many opportunities to reduce the undesirable consequences. Authors in this book show how systemic effects outside the innovating firms reduce the net benefits of innovation for individual employees, customers, as well as for society as a whole - also the innovators' own organizations. This book analyzes the dominant discourses that construct and reconstruct the assumptions and one-sidedness of contemporary innovation research (generally known as the pro-innovation bias) by focusing on consequences of innovation, distinguishing between intended and unintended as well as desirable and undesirable consequences. Contributors illustrate how both the discourses of innovation and the consequences of innovation permeate all levels of society: in policy discourse, in academic discourse, in research funding, in national innovation systems, in the financial sector, in organizational and work contexts, and in environmental pollution. The volume offers a critical, multidisciplinary, and multinational perspective on the topic, with authors from diverse academic fields examining and making comparisons between a variety of national contexts.
Download or read book What is Reality? written by Ervin Laszlo and published by SelectBooks, Inc.. This book was released on 2016-10-04 with total page 285 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Ervin Laszlo's tour de force, What is Reality?, is the product of a half-century of deep contemplation and cutting-edge scholarship. Addressing many of the paradoxes that have confounded modern science over the years, it offers nothing less than a new paradigm of reality, one in which the cosmos is a seamless whole, informed by a single, coherent consciousness manifest in us all. Bringing together science, philosophy, and metaphysics, Laszlo takes aim at accepted wisdom, such as the dichotomies of mind and body, spirit and matter, being and nonbeing, to show how we are all part of an infinite cycle of existence unfolding in spacetime and beyond. Augmented by insightful commentary from a dozen scholars and thinkers, along with a foreword by Deepak Chopra and an introduction by Stanislav Grof, What is Reality? offers a fresh and liberating understanding of the meaning and purpose of existence.
Book Synopsis The New Paradigm by : John O'M. Bockris
Download or read book The New Paradigm written by John O'M. Bockris and published by . This book was released on 2004 with total page 504 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The New Paradigm begins by extolling Science and what it has done for us. Then, in Chapter 2, the consequences of our short-sighted acceptance of the comforts of the present are shown to make it unlikely that the West can survive this century. Exhaustion of resources and overpopulation are the principal reasons. In Chapters 4 and 5, it is shown that our present beliefs in the foundations of science are ill-based; most of those secure foundations are by now shaking with doubt. Then follows the essence of the book. In Chapters 5, 6, 7 and 8 there is presented evidence for the acceptance of the reality of Telepathy and Precognition; of ghosts of people; of the ability of some to leave the body whilst still alive; of experiences when very near to death which seem to be independent of the experiencer's religion. These involve the experience of an intense feeling of love, of the evaluation of your life, etc. The most frequent beginning to such experiences involves the observation of the patient on the death bed - usually in a hospital operating room - of one's own body from high up near the ceiling. After that, the evidence for Reincarnation in new bodies is given. In Chapter 9 is a detailed discussion of what CONSCIOUSNESS means. In this chapter comes a statement of the evidence for a Biofield to explain the ability of some to show that they can change their surroundings by the power of their mind. In the last chapter, some conclusions are given and an approach to a New Paradigm outlined. Humans exist dualistically, the essence of a human is inside his mortal body. This essence is called Consciousness (or the Soul) and it lives on although we do not yet know for how many generations; nor whether this reincarnation applies to all of us. Acceptance of this vital change of outlook, when it spreads to the general population, will cause many changes including the diminishing of Hate and War and an increase in Peace and Love.

Book Synopsis Composing Research by : Cindy Johanek
Download or read book Composing Research written by Cindy Johanek and published by . This book was released on 2000-04 with total page 244 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Cindy Johanek offers a new perspective on the ideological conflict between qualitative and quantitative research approaches, and the theories of knowledge that inform them. With a paradigm that is sensitive to the context of one's research questions, she argues, scholars can develop less dichotomous forms that invoke the strengths of both research traditions. Context-oriented approaches can lift the narrative from beneath the numbers in an experimental study, for example, or bring the useful clarity of numbers to an ethnographic study. A pragmatic scholar, Johanek moves easily across the boundaries that divide the field, and argues for contextualist theory as a lens through which to view composition research. This approach brings with it a new focus, she writes. "This new focus will call us to attend to the contexts in which rhetorical issues and research issues converge, producing varied forms, many voices, and new knowledge, indeed reconstructing a discipline that will be simultaneously focused on its tasks, its knowledge-makers, and its students." Composing Research is a work full of personal voice and professional commitment and will be a welcome addition to the research methods classroom and to the composition researcher's own bookshelf. 2000 Outstanding Scholarship Award from the International Writing Centers Association.
