Download or read book Dinosaurs written by Christine Argot and published by Rizzoli Publications. This book was released on 2018-09-04 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Blending history and fantasy, science and art, the story of how dinosaurs were discovered and reimagined comes to life through splendid illustrations in this handsome slipcased volume. Stegosaurus, Triceratops, Brontosaurus, Tyrannosaurus…these exotic prehistoric creatures continue to fascinate more than 200 million years after they last roamed the earth. Dinosaur skeletons have been reconstituted, reconstructed, and interpreted by scientists and artists since the first fossils were uncovered near Cañon City, Colorado, in 1877, sparking the Bone Wars. In 1907, the Carnegie Museum of Natural History mounted “Dippy” the Diplodocus, which sparked dinomania, igniting the imagination of popular culture and Hollywood. From the Morrison Formation to Montana’s Hell Creek, and from Mongolia’s Gobi Desert to Argentina’s Patagonia, new discoveries and excavations have uncovered a lost kingdom that has inspired myriad homages. This volume enriches our understanding of dinosaurs through rich visual iconography—from paintings, drawings, and sketches to new photography, film stills, reconstructed skeletons, and archival documents—along with detailed descriptions and anecdotes from great nineteenth-century explorers, artists, and writers such as Benjamin W. Hawkins, Charles R. Knight, Zdenĕk Burian, and Jules Verne, and from filmmakers including Walt Disney and Steven Spielberg. This book is published in partnership with the Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle in Paris to coincide with a traveling exhibition of the exceptional Trix T. Rex and the international release of Jurassic World.

Download or read book The Dinosaurs Time Travelers written by AQEEL AHMED and published by AQEEL AHMED. This book was released on 2023-09-14 with total page 53 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Summary about this story: A group of young dinosaurs lived an amazing life in a valley with lots of green plants. They weren't just any dinosaurs; they were the Dino Squad, time travelers who had found a secret path under the roots of an old oak tree. This tree could take them to many places, and their travels were just about to start. Their first trip took them back to the time of the dinosaurs, where they saw huge predators, beautiful scenery, and deep mysteries. They were scared at first, but quickly saw how beautiful and grand this world was. Courage, wisdom, and friendship became their driving values as they went through hard times, made close friends, and accepted their new mission. They were moving when they came across a nest of baby dinosaurs. They wanted to help these amazing creatures find their way back to their parents. The Dino Squad, as they were called, went on a dangerous trip where they had to cross raging rivers and stay away from hungry pterosaurs. As they faced each problem, they got stronger and closer as friends. This made their goal of teaching courage, knowledge, and friendship even more important. One fateful night, as they sat around a campfire, they saw a shaky way back to their own time. They asked Trixie, an old and wise Triceratops, for advice. She told them how to keep the link stable. They needed three special gems, called the gems of Courage, Wisdom, and Friendship, to be spread out across the land. On their journey, they went to dangerous places, like a cave guarded by a wild Allosaurus and a steep mountain where they met a smart Brachiosaurus named Bertie. In the green valley of peace, they found the Crystal of Friendship and learned how important it is to work together and be friendly. They took all three gems back to the old oak tree and fixed the opening there. They said goodbye to the land of dinosaurs with tears in their eyes, taking with them that they had learned about being brave, wise, and friendly. They all lived by these rules in their beautiful, green valley, which made it a peaceful place to live. But their adventures did not end there. The Dino Squad knew that with bravery, smart, and friendship, they could deal with any problem. Their goal kept going as they looked into the past and the future. Just like dinosaurs did in the past, they left their mark on the world. The Dino Squad's trip became a legendary story that shows how strong these ideas are over time. As they set out into the unknown, they promised to spread courage, knowledge, and friendship wherever they went, leaving a legacy that would inspire future generations. How the story started: A rare group of baby dinosaurs grew up in a beautiful, green valley, where they lived among tall plants and old cycads. These dinosaurs were not like other dinosaurs; they were extraordinary in every way. Their lives were filled with the colors of curiosity and excitement, which made them different from their valley friends. But what made these young dinosaurs stand out was that they knew a secret that made their hearts race and their imaginations soar: they could move through time. The valley itself was a beautiful haven, like a prehistoric Eden, with clear streams running through it and emerald-colored plants as far as the eye could see. The valley was filled with the beautiful sounds of singing insects and birds, and tall palm trees gently swayed in the warm, fragrant breeze. This amazing group of dinosaurs was born here, in a place that has always been beautiful. These young dinosaurs were filled with a sense of wonder that went beyond what they normally did. While most of the people who lived in the valley were happy to graze and relax in the shade, this unique group couldn't get enough excitement. Every day was a new adventure, whether it was finding secret waterfalls, navigating mysterious caves, or playing complicated hide-and-seek among the ancient ferns. But there was one journey that was different from the others. They found out about the secret by accident, but it took them on the most amazing trip of their lives. Deep in the middle of their valley, at the base of a twisted and tall oak tree, was a secret tunnel that led to different times. This old oak tree had roots that went deep into the ground and branches that reached so far up that they might have touched the fabric of time. One of the young dinosaurs bumped into an old oak tree while playing their favorite game of hide-and-seek on a sunny afternoon. In an instant, they were taken to a planet that was around millions of years before their time. When they found themselves surrounded by huge beasts, they had only heard about it in bedtime tales, they were scared at first. The huge Tyrannosaurus rex, the tall Brachiosaurus, and the heavily protected Ankylosaurus all lived in the same old area. But as they went deeper into this ancient world, their fear turned into awe. They were amazed by the power of these huge animals, as well as by how big they were and how beautiful the scenery was around them. They walked through lush jungles with the sounds of exotic birds and rustling leaves. They found peaceful prehistoric lakes that sparkled in the golden light and gasped when they saw dinosaurs walking around freely, as if time hadn't changed them. It didn't take these young time travelers long to figure out that they weren't just going through. They made friends with the people who lived in this old land because they were curious and liked to try new things. They learned how to get food from herbivorous dinosaurs, who showed them the best places to eat and taught them how to avoid the most dangerous enemies. They were wandering the deep jungle one amazing day when they found a nest of baby dinosaurs. These tiny animals were so cute, with their tiny horns and squeaky sounds. The young time travelers couldn't bear to leave them on their own, so they stayed to guard and guide them. Their goal was to get the dinosaur babies back to their parents, which was a hard and touching journey. As they went through the wilderness on their mission, they faced a number of dangerous situations. They had to cross dangerous, roaring rivers. Some dinosaurs used their long necks to build bridges, while others moved quickly and deftly through the dangerous water. They used their brains and worked together to outsmart the hungry pterosaurs that were looking for food in the sky.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Dinosaurs Who Drew on Caves Prehistoric creatures leave messages for future kids to find, teaching us about friendship and environmental stewardship through ancient cave drawings. Summary: Dinosaurs lived in a world with huge, green fields. One group of these amazing animals found an amazing way to talk to each other and leave a lasting mark. Each of these dinosaur friends had their own skills and personalities. They found it fun to draw on the smooth, empty walls of the caves that were all over their world back in the time of the dinosaurs. Their finding wasn't just about making art; it was also about sending messages through time by hiding lessons in their drawings for people to find in the future. With their newfound love of drawing, these dinosaurs set out on an exciting trip. They painted on the cave walls to record their lives, their friends, and what was going on in the world. Their drawings, on the other hand, were more than just pictures; they carried very important messages. They showed what friendship is all about by showing how working together and being there for each other when we needed it made the community stronger. They showed through their art what teamwork was all about and how it could help people get through the hardest problems. Most importantly, they showed a deep respect and care for the environment, showing how all living things are linked and how important it is to live in harmony with nature. Their work of art turned the cave walls into a colorful tapestry of ancient life. This will teach children in the future about the dinosaurs' way of life and the timeless values they held dear. These words, which were carefully written and shared with love, were meant to inspire people who lived after the dinosaurs died out. The dinosaurs hoped that their artifacts would inspire people in the future to value and support friendship, cooperation, and caring for the environment. The story of these dinosaur friends and their cave drawings is a good lesson on how nice things can change the world if people work together and share values. Living in harmony with each other and our world is not only important for our own health, but also something the dinosaurs taught us through their stories and art. Inscribed in stone, their legacy lives on, showing that even small actions can have big effects, and that we can all make a difference by taking care of each other and our world. Chapter 1: How It Was Found A unique group of dinosaur friends made an amazing find in a land with tall trees and big, open skies, where dinosaurs roamed freely and the ground shook with the sound of their footsteps. These dinosaurs weren't like other dinosaurs; they were interested, friendly, and eager to learn more about their surroundings. Trixie, a Triceratops with a big heart who liked to play, found a bit of charcoal on the ground one day while she was near a smooth, dark cave. On the wall of the cave, she drew a simple circle because she felt like it. It was the sun, shining brightly like the one that made their days warmer. The Velociraptor Vince and the Stegosaurus Stella, who are friends of Trixie and were excited about what she had found, joined in. They saw that these drawings were more than just pictures. They could tell stories, teach lessons, and even send notes to people who would live in the future. Together, they chose to make a big drawing that would show how dinosaurs loved, lived, and played together in balance with nature. Their group grew as their project did. Pete the Pterodactyl, Otto the Oviraptor, and Dora the Diplodocus all made their own marks on the cave walls. Each drawing showed a different part of their story, from the exciting chases on the wide fields to the peaceful times spent under the stars. In their drawings, they showed how they helped each other out when they were in trouble and how they worked together to solve problems. Someone who found their drawings a long time after they were gone should know how important it is to be friendly and work together. But their drawings weren't just about their adventures; they also had an important lesson about taking care of the earth. They drew the beautiful places they lived, the rivers that quenched their thirst, and how important it is to live in harmony with nature. They showed how all living things, big and small, were important to the world's health. They wanted their art to teach future kids how important it is to take care of the earth so that it stays alive and well for future generations. Their trip wasn't always smooth. They had problems, like strong rains that could have wiped out all their hard work. However, they worked together to find ways to keep their drawings safe, which showed how strong and cooperative they were. In fact, they went to other caves to share the fun of drawing and writing with even more dinosaur friends. They left behind a legacy of cave drawings that told a story of friendship, excitement, and caring for the environment. After many years, the dinosaurs knew that their time was coming to an end. But they were happy because they knew their drawings would last forever, like a gift to future generations. Indeed, these old writings were found by a group of kids exploring a cave many, many years later. They were amazed at how smart the dinosaurs were and promised to teach other animals how to be friendly, work together, and protect the environment. Children and adults today are inspired by the dinosaurs who drew in caves to live in peace with each other and the natural world. Chapter 2: The First Drawing: Trixie the Triceratops found something that would change her life forever in the middle of a lush, prehistoric jungle. The air was filled with the sounds of ancient birds and the leaves rustled with stories from long ago. She used a simple piece of charcoal to draw a circle on the cave wall. The circle was a representation of the sun, which gave their world light and warmth. She showed Vince, a Velociraptor that moved very quickly and had a sharp mind, and Stella, a Stegosaurus that was kind and moved with ease that was out of character for her size. They were amazed. Even though the drawing was very basic, it had a magical spark of imagination that could tell stories without words. The friends came up with a plan after seeing Trixie's sun. Together, they decided to make a big drawing that would go all the way across the cave wall and show everything about their lives. It would be possible to talk to animals in the future through this work, which would act as a time capsule. It would show them how the dinosaurs lived, what they liked, and the exciting things they did. Because he was so quick, Vince was made the scout and ran through the forest gathering rocks and materials of different colors. To make a set of bright colors, these would be ground up into powders. Stella brought the colors and helped smooth the cave wall so that they could paint on it. Her big back looked like a painter's canvas. Trixie started it all, and she was in charge of drawing the scenes. Her idea guided their work. The sun that Trixie drew at the beginning of their drawing quickly grew. They added pictures of the lush, green woods they roamed, the clear rivers that quenched their thirst, and the big, open skies where they liked to rest. It was them, too. Trixie had three strong horns, Vince had a smooth, quick body, and Stella had plates that protected her and soft eyes. What they drew around them were scenes from their daily lives, like hunting, playing, and discovering the huge, strange world they lived in.
