Download or read book Alien Memos written by Thomas N. Hackney and published by Page Publishing Inc. This book was released on 2018-01-16 with total page 174 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Alien Memos provides scientifically verified details and evidence of what certainly appears to be extraterrestrial activity of a very high order. Revealed in this book are four semiotic communications from an advanced (presumably) extraterrestrial intelligence. Here is a comprehensive account of these miraculous, yet well-documented, events that took place just before and after mankind's first (and only) major, congressionally-funded search for extraterrestrial intelligence. One of them was the most energetic event of any kind ever witnessed by man in his solar system. But miracles are rare, and they often have rational explanations. The events covered in this book are no different. Fasten your seatbelt, because Kansas is going bye-bye. Take a moment to visit Thomas Hackney's website: www.setifacts.com

Book Synopsis This is Not a Grail Romance by : Natalia Petrovskaia
Download or read book This is Not a Grail Romance written by Natalia Petrovskaia and published by University of Wales Press. This book was released on 2023-07-15 with total page 199 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is Not a Grail Romance provides answers to some of the most important questions surrounding the medieval Welsh Arthurian tale Historia Peredur vab Efrawc, one of the few surviving medieval Welsh narrative compositions, and an important member of the ‘Grail’ family of medieval European narratives. The study demonstrates that Historia Peredur is an original Welsh composition, rather than (as previous theories have suggested) being an adaptation of the twelfth-century French grail romance. The new analysis of the structure of Historia Peredur presented here shows it to be as complex as it has always been thought – but also more formal, and the result of intentional and intricate design. The seeming inconsistencies or oddities in Historia Peredur can be understood by reading it in its medieval Welsh cultural context, allowing the modern reader a greater appreciation of both the narrative and the culture that produced it.

Book Synopsis Contact with Extraterrestrial Intelligence and Human Law by : Michael Bohlander
Download or read book Contact with Extraterrestrial Intelligence and Human Law written by Michael Bohlander and published by BRILL. This book was released on 2023-08-07 with total page 267 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It is statistically unlikely that humans are the only intelligent species in the universe. Nothing about the others will be known until contact is made beyond a radio signal from space that merely tells us they existed when it was sent. That contact may occur tomorrow, in a hundred years, or never. If it does it will be a high-risk scenario for humanity. It may be peaceful or hostile. Relying on alien altruism and benign intentions is wishful thinking. We need to begin identifying as a planetary species, and develop a global consensus on how to respond in either scenario.

Book Synopsis Theory and Applications of Ontology: Computer Applications by : Roberto Poli
Download or read book Theory and Applications of Ontology: Computer Applications written by Roberto Poli and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2010-09-02 with total page 582 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Ontology was once understood to be the philosophical inquiry into the structure of reality: the analysis and categorization of ‘what there is’. Recently, however, a field called ‘ontology’ has become part of the rapidly growing research industry in information technology. The two fields have more in common than just their name. Theory and Applications of Ontology is a two-volume anthology that aims to further an informed discussion about the relationship between ontology in philosophy and ontology in information technology. It fills an important lacuna in cutting-edge research on ontology in both fields, supplying stage-setting overview articles on history and method, presenting directions of current research in either field, and highlighting areas of productive interdisciplinary contact. Theory and Applications of Ontology: Computer Applications presents ontology in ways that philosophers are not likely to find elsewhere. The volume offers an overview of current research in ontology, distinguishing basic conceptual issues, domain applications, general frameworks, and mathematical formalisms. It introduces the reader to current research on frameworks and applications in information technology in ways that are sure to invite reflection and constructive responses from ontologists in philosophy.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: On November 8, 2016, the seemingly impossible became real: Donald Trump—billionaire tycoon with fundamentally xenophobic, savage, and populist speech—won the presidency and began endangering values like democracy and world peace. Author Daniel Estulin argues that nothing about this situation was accidental and that behind this terrifying event many interests are hidden. This volume asks: How did America get here? Was it a truly democratic event? And, above all, what are the interests behind the election of Trump? From his privileged status as a Russian ex-spy, Daniel Estulin dives into the long process that has led Donald Trump to the presidency. In The Shadows of a Presidency offers a behind-the-scenes chronicle of the actors, governments, companies, and institutions involved in his election and the payout it will yield for insiders.

Book excerpt: "Johnson's Le Divorce and Le Mariage allow for a consideration of the profound changes that the international novel of Henry James has undergone in a globalized world of altered Franco-American cultural relations. Tremain's The Way I Found Her illustrates the use of cultural borrowing to create an international corpus of texts and a cosmopolitan community of readers. Harris's Chocolat and Blackberry Wine reveal her metaphoric use of the space of provincial France to represent postmodernity as a world of mobility and rootlessness.
