In this unique study, Eternal light and earthly concerns, looks at the material and social consequences of maintaining these 'eternal' lights. It investigates how the cost of lighting was met across western Europe throughout the whole of the Middle Ages, revealing the social organisation that was built up around maintaining the lights in the belief that burning them reduced the time spent in Purgatory. When that belief collapsed in the Reformation the eternal lights were summarily extinguished. The history of the lights thus offers not only a new account of change in medieval Europe, but also a sustained examination of the relationship between materiality and belief.

The book consists of three parts to coincide with the terms of trinity. The first part demonstrates that the major biblical ancestors of the biblical Jesus are all Ancient Egyptian prominent characters. The second part demonstrates that the accounts of the "historical Jesus" are based entirely on the life and death of the Egyptian Pharaoh, Twt/Tut-Ankh-Amen. The third part demonstrates that the "Jesus of Faith" and the Christian tenets are all Egyptian in origin -- such as the essence of the teachings/message, the creation of the universe and man (according to the Book of Genesis), as well as the religious holidays.

Book excerpt: Eternal Egypt: Ancient Rituals for the Modern World is the first comprehensive collection of important temple rituals performed throughout Egypt during the time of the pharaohs. The author presents seven key rites from official temple records and ancient esoteric texts for personal or group use. This guidebook also: - presents rituals in a form designed to assist initiates in restoring the ancient rites of Egypt; - provides for modern usage, key ritual texts coming solely from authenticated ancient sources; - contains easy to follow commentaries and background information on each ritual, including symbolism and mythology not previously available in one book; - gives text with commentary for the “Opening of the Mouth” ceremony; - offers practical information for conducting these rituals in today’s world. Formerly only available to the scholar and professional Egyptologist, these ritual texts reveal the deeply spiritual understanding of humanity’s relationship to divinity that characterized the ancient Egyptian sense of the sacred. This is a practical intermediate level text for those wishing to worship the great deities of ancient Egypt in as authentic a manner as possible, and by so doing tap into the great spiritual heritage that sustained Egyptian culture for over three thousand years.

Book excerpt: It is the duty of Occult students to familiarize themselves with the subjects herein discussed. They should know the ideas of our ancestors regarding them and be familiar with their thought, in order to appreciate the sublime wisdom and knowledge of Nature as taught by them, otherwise we are sure to do them, as well as ourselves, great injustice. The history of Occultism bears out the fact that there is very little that is new to the present time. The arrangement and classification of thought differs during each cycle of time on the different spirals, and, like the fruitage on lower rounds of Nature's progressive wheel of destiny, variety and quality are diverse, so, likewise, do we find the mental manifestations. This age, however, is blessed with a great variety and abundance of thought, in clear-cut language, that should enlighten the races of the Earth with Mother Nature's modus operandi in every department of human thought. We hope these chapters will aid to this end, and doubtless many students will find in them the key to unlock the mysteries veiled in symbol and hieroglyphic by ancient writers. The author's object has been to make plain and easy of understanding these subjects. Much, however, has been left for private study and research, for many large volumes might be filled if a detailed description of each subject were entered upon, which task is left for those who feel so inclined. A rich reward is in store for those spiritual investigators who will follow out the paths and lines herein mapped out on Spiritual Astrology, Alchemy, and other subjects. Meditation and aspiration will open up hidden treasures that will prove a boon to Occult students, for Astrology and Alchemy are the two grand sciences that explain the why and reasons for what we see and experience on every plane of life. In this age there should be no concealing of these Divine truths. We cannot hide anything in the air, and for this reason the Sun in Aquarius will unearth and reveal to man all that the present cycle has to give during the Sun's passage through this airy sign. The watery sign, Pisces, through which the Sun manifested during the past 2,160 years, gave up to man their secret powers and hidden attributes in steam as a motive power, which man has completely mastered. He will likewise master the airy forces during the present sub-cycle of the Sun in Aquarius. Already we see him using liquid air and compressed air as a motive power, which will gradually take the place of steam as the Sun gets farther into the sign, or constellation, of Aquarius. Men will become immensely wiser than they have been, and it is to be hoped they will leave the written record of their achievements in science and art to show to future races their status of mind on every subject for the edification and enlightenment of coming races. Our ancestors were denied this great privilege. Consequently their wisdom is only symbolized to us in a way that it is difficult to read and interpret correctly, yet we who have the key to their symbols can read accurately the truth they wish to convey, which stands out clearly to all capable of understanding and interpreting symbolism and correspondence correctly. History and Nature repeat themselves in every cycle of time; therefore these forces and potentialities are natural to the sign through which the Sun manifests. We can go backward or forward through the Sun's Zodiac and read correctly the history of the hoary past, as well as the present and future, by bearing in mind the sign and cycle in manifestation at any given period. When the proper time arrives, a work will be given to the world to prove to mankind the law of cycles.

Book excerpt: This volume challenges assumptions about—and highlights new approaches to—the study of ancient Egyptian society by tackling various thematic social issues through structured individual case studies. The reader will be presented with questions about the relevance of the past in the present. The chapters encourage an understanding of Egypt in its own terms through the lens of power, people, and place, offering a more nuanced understanding of the way Egyptian society was organized and illustrating the benefits of new approaches to topics in need of a critical re-examination. By re-evaluating traditional, long-held beliefs about a monolithic, unchanging ancient Egyptian society, this volume writes a new narrative—one unchecked assumption at a time. Ancient Egyptian Society: Challenging Assumptions, Exploring Approaches is intended for anyone studying ancient Egypt or ancient societies more broadly, including undergraduate and graduate students, Egyptologists, and scholars in adjacent fields.

Book excerpt: The Greek Bible or Septuagint affirms (Exodos I, 11) that "The Children of Israel built the fortified cities of Pitom', Ramses, and 'ON' renamed today Heliopolis": THEY BUILT THE CITY OF TEMPLES AND PYRAMIDS. ANCIENT EGYPTIANS HAVE BEEN INVENTED BY THE GREEKS Forget everything you thought to be true about ancient Egyptians as the famous linguist and expert of ancient religions, Roger Sabbah, reveals the latest scientific issues. This book - the first of a trilogy - denounces the failure of Egyptology which encouraged a false vision of Niles Valley people. Modern science proves hieroglyphs wrote another story, truer and darker. Story of a brilliant civilization invaded by ancient Greeks, martyred and having their whole History rewritten to please a Greek mad-king. Words like Egypt, Egyptian, Pharaoh or Nile are Greek names, not real “Egyptian” names. They do not exist in the hieroglyphs. Greek invaders began the first true religious persecution in History, forbidding the priests to pray their Gods and imposing a new religious order. They invented the ancient Egyptians, the origin of the tear of humanity into religions of the revealed Book. This is the starting point of our civilization as you will discover in this book the hidden origins of modern Jews. But also the origin of modern monotheism as Nile Valley people priests and notables, were forced to hide their knowledge in certain ignored passages of the Bible and in scripted documents like the Kabbalah (Zohar). Roger Sabbah pierced the code and shares with you the untold History of Occidental civilization. Daniel Guersan, professor of political science from the University of Montreal.
