Book excerpt: The book reveals the physical engraved Cornerstone that was placed in the corner of the Temples of Israel, in Solomons and Zerubbabels Temples. It was refused to be placed in Herods temple modification. Years of preaching has not revealed it. In the story, it is shown how it may have come into existence. The central character is a boy who grows up in Israel during the time of construction of King Davids house and the building of Solomons Temple. He learns of the trade of a stone mason, of the God of Israel and embraces the faith of Israel. He is led to engrave seven eyes on what is to be the Cornerstone.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many people go through the Bible for years and are surprised when they find something they had not seen or heard before. This happened to me. I found the verse in Zechariah 3:10 speaking about a cornerstone that had the engraving cleaned out and to be set back in the temple stones covering the foundation by Zerubbabel and the high priest Joshua. This led to other verses. I became like a detective searching for all the clues. The Bible gives the history of the temples built from Solomon to Herod the Great. The cornerstone is not mentioned in the history Solomon’s temple or of Herod’s temple. A lot of details are given to the building of Solomon’s temple. The amount of gold, silver, and iron used are recorded. The contract between Solomon and King Hiram of Tyre is recorded. How many men working in the forest of Lebanon are recorded, and how often they were relieved. There is no mention of the cornerstone there. It is not mentioned in the history of King Herod. This is because he never set it in his temple. He hid it. We can know it was there because of the record of it being replaced by Zerubbabel, and it was the temple built by Zerubbabel that Herod was tearing apart and remodeling. Zechariah qualifies it being in Solomon’s temple by telling of the cleaning out the engraving and of the old men who saw it reset by Zerubbabel, and when they saw it, they wept loudly from the remembrance of it in the first temple (Ezra 3:12). What is the importance of this stone? It is the engraving. What is the meaning of the seven eyes engraved on it? This is what gives you its importance. Revelation 5:6 tells you what the seven eyes represent. Here is where people get uncomfortable. Revelations speak of God having seven spirits. They get confused, and this is unsettling. But let us think for just a moment. Yes, the Bible speaks of God being one Spirit. He is! The spirit used in Revelation is used in a different way. As God has the spirit of wrath, grief, long-suffering, forgiveness, and others. Why eyes? This represents God looking into the affairs of men in the ways of wrath, patience, and the five others Jesus came in the fullness of God with these ways of looking into men. The cornerstone is the token sign of the coming Messiah to the Jews. He was the cornerstone of their faith, unknowingly. But the cornerstone significance will become known. The Messiah, Jesus, would become their Messiah as they learn and understand the scriptures and his life. This Old Testament verse from Habakkuk 2:11 tie it up: “For the stone shall cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the timber shall answer it.” It is this author’s belief that King Herod the Great hid the cornerstone in the walls around the temple complex as he remodeled and enlarged it. There are still walls left that were built by him. Question: Why are the Jews and Christians drawn to the section called the “Wailing Wall?” The beam out of the timber is the cross. The stone cried out. The Messiah is coming. The beam out of the timber answered, He has come.

Book excerpt: Documented Proof of the Prophetic Promises of God Revealed Thousands of years ago, the prophet Zechariah foretold that the once-revered city of Jerusalem would again shake off its dust and be revived in peace and security. He predicted it would not only become a center of thriving life and seat of international influence but also the place where God himself will return to dwell. This stunning new photo-comparison book and follow-up to Israel Rising documents the long-awaited and ongoing restoration of a city "set in the center of the nations" (Ezekiel 5:5). From its famed walls and gates to the beloved Old City and the new city rising up around it, view some of the oldest photos of Jerusalem ever taken (starting in the 1840s) and see them re-created from the same perspective today―some for the first time ever. Author Doug Hershey and adventure-travel photographer Edden Ram gained exclusive access to storied vantage points to reshoot the exact angles of these stunning and seldom-seen historical photos. The result is an awe-inspiring and groundbreaking collection that will captivate hearts and reveal the accuracy of the prophet's words. The book also features fascinating insights into Jerusalem's first photographers and firsthand accounts from pilgrims, locals, and would-be conquerors that capture the longing and desire for this treasured city, spanning almost 2,000 years. Indeed, the reawakening of the City of Peace is at hand.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Old Testament is richly laden with prophecies and foreshadowings of the last days. Having never researched its treasures, however, many Christians possess a lopsided, exclusively New Testament understanding of End-Times prophecy. The Day of the Lord Commentary meticulously examines every Old Testament text foretelling or foreshadowing the dramatic people and events that consummate God’s prophetic plan, terminate this world order, and inaugurate Christ’s unprecedentedly righteous, peaceful, worldwide kingdom on earth. Only the Bible, accurately interpreted, establishes accurate End-Times views. This commentary’s abundant, biblical cross-references lay a deep, broad foundation for a clear, accurate eschatology. It will amaze you how often, and how specifically, Old and New Testament prophets agree. All see the same final events, and in the same order: Tribulation, Armageddon, Millennium! This in-depth study gives special attention to the Old Testament’s less-known “little apocalypses” in Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, and Zechariah, and identifies their many links to John’s well-known apocalypse, Revelation. Soundly refuting Supersessionism, it explains why God has regathered the Jews, reestablished the State of Israel, and preserved it against all odds: Israel’s Day of the Lord is coming! Book Review 1: "Greg Hinnant’s monumental work, The Day of the Lord Commentary, is a must-read for anyone interested in the final summation of End-Times events … Greg takes the reader on an extraordinary journey through the Old Testament with three-dimensional glasses that allows one to see direct references and indirect typology concerning the great drama of redemption as it moves to its conclusion. This may be the foremost study of its kind on this topic." -- Dr. Charles H. Gaulden, Old Testament Professor, Southeastern University Book Review 2: "It is exceptionally common in eschatological study to focus almost exclusively on the New Testament, yet such an approach ignores Paul’s admonition that all scripture is inspired (2 Timothy 3:16-17). The Day of the Lord Commentary provides a systematic overview of important references to the impending Day of the Lord found throughout the Old Testament, and weaves these prophetic expectations into one seamless tapestry throughout the whole Bible." -- Dr. Ran Whitley, DMin, PhD, Professor, Campbell University Book Review 3: "Though a Bible student all my life, certain passages remained obscure and confusing. The Day of the Lord Commentary has changed all of this, as these formerly confusing passages have now come alive. This book’s depth and insight into the Old Testament is astounding. How Greg was able to mine through all the rock and rubble of confusing Bible prophecy to access these precious stones of biblical revelation is truly a gift. This work is a must-read for all who desire a deeper understanding of God’s Word and a valuable resource for ministers, to shed light and understanding on the gospel message we proclaim." -- Sherri Leith, Senior Pastor, Family Worship Center, Port Orchard, Washington Book Review 4: "The Day of the Lord Commentary provides an in-depth study of biblical eschatology. Using a detailed comparative analysis of the eschatological oracles scattered throughout the Hebrew Bible, Greg lays out a theological roadmap for understanding God’s plan for Israel and the nations. This book, written from a Christian perspective, tackles some of the most intriguing End-Times prophecies recorded in Israel’s sacred scriptures. Pastors, preachers, and Bible teachers will greatly benefit from this thought-provoking volume." -- Dr. Igal German, Founding Director, Yesod Bible Center, and International Biblical Apologetics Association (bibleapologist.org)

Book excerpt: For the past two hundred years biblical scholars have increasingly assumed that the Hebrew Bible was largely written and edited in the Persian and Hellenistic periods. As a result, the written Bible has dwelled in an historical vacuum. Recent archaeological evidence and insights from linguistic anthropology, however, point to the earlier era of the late-Iron Age as the formative period for the writing of biblical literature. How the Bible Became a Book combines these recent archaeological discoveries in the Middle East with insights culled from the history of writing to address how the Bible first came to be written down and then became sacred Scripture. This book provides rich insight into why these texts came to have authority as Scripture and explores why Ancient Israel, an oral culture, began to write literature, challenging the assertion that widespread literacy first arose in Greece during the fifth century BCE.

Book excerpt: This book is the fourth in a series of five books. It is when Rome was holding Israel as a vassal kingdom. In our last book, Cornerstone Found, we were in a time when Kong Cyrus of the Medes released Israel after seventy years of exile to return and rebuild their Temple. It was rebuilt with one change in its dimensions. It was the same in width and length, but now it was ninety feet tall. They built it out of the old stones that had been the Temple before. Another conqueror came and was shown the prophecy of Daniel, Alexander the Great. He was not given by name, as was Cyrus. The prophecy said he would come but not destroy; he did and not destroy. Afterward, he did say they would pay tribute and furnish men for war as needed. The Temple continued to stand with the cornerstone. After four hundred years since the rebuilding, the Romans came. The Greek dominance had been broken into four fractions after Alexander’s death. These four divisions were ruled by four of Alexander’s generals, not in his ways. There were rebellions and wars against these generals. Rome came and took Jerusalem for the first time by intimidation. Rome set up its control of government with its assigned kings. Their king in Jerusalem was of mixed blood. His mother was of the blood of Esua and Canaanite, and his father was of Jewish blood. This new king of Israel was Herod the Great. He was an egotist and a lover of building to gain permanent recognition. He could not tolerate the vision of this building, thirty feet wide by ninety feet long by ninety feet high and built with reused stones. This building would corrupt his vision of grandeur for the city. He made a deal with the priests that he would not disrupt the rituals. He wanted to cover the old stones with new ones. In the cladding process of the Temple, he tore the stones off the porch to keep the same dimensions. In the process, the cornerstone got lost, or it could be assumed that it was hidden. In this book, we will take you from Zerubbable’s rebuilding to Herod’s days. We will get into the lives of some of the Israelites and how they lived before and after Alexander to the coming of the Romans with their allies, one of whom was Herod’s father. We have tried to get into the mind of Herod using the information provided by the Bible. When you finish this book, you will be up to date on the events surrounding the Temple and the cornerstone. There has been no change to the Cornerstone events since Herod’s time. It is still hidden. The Romans tore the Temple down sixty six years after his death.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: On one day in June, the balance of air power in the Middle East was turned upside down by perhaps the most ruthlessly effective air superiority campaign in history – Operation Moked, or Focus. In 1967, the Israeli Air Force was outnumbered more than two to one by the jets of hostile Egypt, Syria, Jordan and Iraq. Operation Focus was Israel's ingenious strike plan to overturn the balance. At 0745hrs on June 6, Israeli jets hit Egypt's airfields simultaneously, first bombing runways and then strafing aircraft. Another 20 follow-up missions were already in the air, initially scheduled to hit every five minutes. This new history of Operation Focus explains how the concept for Focus was devised and meticulously planned, the astonishing rate of serviceability and turnaround speed it required from ground crews, and how the relentless tempo of strikes shattered one air force after another. It is the story of how Israel's victory in the Six-Day War began with a single, shocking day.

But every puzzle can be solved if you approach it the right way. Paul Benware compares prophecy to a picture puzzle. Putting the edge pieces together first builds the 'framework' that makes it easier to fit the other pieces in their place. According to Benware, the framework for eschatology is the biblical covenants. He begins his comprehensive survey by explaining the major covenants. Then he discusses several different interpretations of end times prophecy. Benware digs into the details of the Rapture, the Great Tribulation, the judgements and resurrections, and the millennial kingdom. But he also adds a unique, personal element to the study, answering questions as: -Why study bible prophecy? -What difference does it make if I'm premillenial or amillenial? If what the Bible says about the future puzzles you, Understanding End Times Prophecy will help you put together the pieces and see the big picture.

Book excerpt: This issue of The Ministry contains a complete record of the twelve messages given during the 2007 winter training on the Crystallization-study of 1 and 2 Peter and Jude, held December 24-29 in Anaheim, California. The crucial truth and burden embodied in these twelve messages may be summarized in four statements: (1) In Christ's death we have been separated from sins, and in His resurrection we have been enlivened so that we might live to righteousness under the government of God. (2) We must redeem the time to enjoy Christ as the supreme preciousness of God so that He can build Himself into us to make us His spiritual house and His holy and royal priesthood for the accomplishment of His heart's desire. (3) We should be diligent to pursue the growth and development of the divine life and divine nature for a rich entrance into the eternal kingdom. (4) As we are contending for the faith, enjoying the Blessed Trinity, and taking the way of rapture by giving heed to the prophetic word, our trust is in our precious Lord and God as the One who is able to guard us from stumbling and to set us before His glory without blemish in exultation. These messages are being published immediately following the training in order that they might benefit the saints participating in the many video trainings that are held throughout the earth. The Reports and Announcements section includes two reports related to the Lord's move to Europe and an announcement related to upcoming conferences and trainings.

Book excerpt: The essays collected in this volume, some of which are presented for the first time in English translation, provide a rich harvest of Jewish customs and traditional beliefs, gathered from all over the world and from ancient to modern times. On Jewish Folklore spans a half-century of scholarly inquiry by the noted anthropologist and biblical scholar Raphael Patai. He essays collected in this volume, some of which are presented for the first time in English translation, provide a rich harvest of Jewish customs and traditional beliefs, gathered from all over the world and from ancient to modern times. Among the subjects Dr. Patai investigated and recorded are the history and oral traditions of the now-vanished Marrano community of Meshhed, Iran; cultural change among the so-called Jewish Indians of Mexico; beliefs and customs in connection with birth, the rainbow, and the color blue; Jewish variants of the widespread custom of earth-eating; and the remarkable parallels between the rituals connected with enthroning a new king as described in the Bible and as practiced among certain African tribes.
