The Church that once believed that "Greater love has no one than this, than he who lays down his life for his friends," are now touting to unsaved neighbors and coworkers that, "Love means never having to say you're sorry (for your sin)." The Gospel is not politically correct--but it is biblically correct. Christians must learn how to speak the Truth in Love. Many Christians today fall prey to speaking the truth without love; but the second failure is just as dangerous--not speaking up at all. That is why the moral of Anderson's tale still applies today--namely, the dangers of remaining silent when our conscience convicts us to speak.
