At the time, "Eastern Question" was a well known term referring to unique political and religious issues related to Turkey's possession of the strategic waterway between the Black and Mediterranean Seas, as well as its ownership of Palestine, with the city of Jerusalem; long considered holy by Christians, Jews, and Moslems. There have been some political and religious changes since 1897, but the core problems and concerns still exist; though often expressed in different terminology. This book was written to explain from the Scriptures what divine prophecy says will be the final solution to the problems created by these widely coveted possessions. It is discovered that the religious aspect is of the greatest importance, for its resolution affects the eternal welfare of all humanity. And the prophesied solution is so contrary to what the majority believe, that it should cause us great concern. We need to know what the future holds in order to avoid being caught up in erroneous movements with potentially disastrous results. We need to know when, where, how, and to whom the promises to ancient Israel, and Jerusalem, are to be fully and finally fulfilled. Aside from changing the title, the text is the original and unabridged. There was a temptation, at times, to reword an area of seeming sarcasm or ridicule; but this was resisted. Hopefully, the reader can see these few areas as a reflection of the author's conviction of the importance, and urgency, of his message. Clarifying annotations have been added as footnotes with a gray background, and appropriate illustrations are included to increase appeal to the modern reader.THIS book has an object; and this object we invite the reader to consider for a moment before entering upon a perusal of the work. The object is to throw the search-light of prophecy upon one of the greatest and most important questions now agitating the world. That question is the Eastern Question. You are already interested in that question, as everyone is, who has an intelligent acquaintance with the great political movements of the present day. But your interest will be greatly increased by looking at it in the light of prophecy; because prophecy throws upon it an illumination which goes far beyond any natural foresight and human deductions. It shows the startling results of the movements involved in this controversy. The human view sees only a change in the map of Europe, and the disappearance of Turkey as a political factor in the national agitations of this world; the prophetic view sees the disappearance, not of Turkey alone, but of all the nations of the earth, and the establishment of God's everlasting kingdom, as the true solution, and the immediate result of the settlement of this great question. How this is to be brought about, the author of this work clearly shows. The subject being thus presented {4} from the true point of view, every one will be enabled to see his own personal concern in the matter, in reference to his spiritual and eternal interests.But more than this, the presentation of this truth in this manner, exposes an error, now widely spread through Christendom, which is misleading thousands in their conceptions of the future. To be enlightened in regard to the grand scheme of God's purposes among men, and to be in harmony with his work, is the most exalted position one can occupy in this world; and believing that this little work will be a help to many in reaching that position, we are happy to send it forth upon its mission of light and love.

It shall correspond with the judgement of God upon upon the whole Earth when the LORD Jesus will execute the judgement of God upon the enemies of God and Israel, purge the land of all iniquities and idol worship and settle to rule the nations of the world upon His Holy Mountain (The Messianic Temple). The LORD God will restore His marriage covenant with Israel and dwell with is people forever. His resting place shall be glorious and the whole Earth shall be filled with the knowledge of His Glory. We thank God for fulfilling this prophecy in our generation because Abraham and the prophets of desired to see what is coming in our generations. They saw it afar off and embraced it by faith. We are seeing the fulfillment. To God alone be the glory forever and ever, amen!
