Writing in the eve of a long and useful career, the author has embodied in his "Clinical Studies" the very essence of his mature experience, which reaches over almost half a century of ophthalmic practice. A work of this kind is distinct from an ordinary text-book, and is always welcome both to the general practitioner and the specialist.
