Notwithstanding the fact that some diseases may run a long and fatal course without' fever, we will always find the careful physician taking the tempera ture of his patients often, and when he finds any considerable rise above the nor mal, some antipyretic is usually given. This practice may be, and I believe is, the proper one to pursue in most cases, the mis take we usually make, I think, is in the selection of an antipyretic.
