Thereafter, he preached revival throughout the eastern part of the USA. Freemasonry writes that "Finney preached anti-Masonry wherever he was, & with former 33rd degree Freemason, Jonathan Blanchard, a Presbyterian minister & president of Wheaton College, published an anti-Masonic newspaper." What prompted Finney to write & preach against Freemasonry was the Masonic murder of Captain William Morgan. Morgan became a Christian in 1825 & renounced Freemasonry. He felt compelled to expose in a book the unconstitutional & anti-Christian practices of the Masonic Lodges. As a consequence, he was assassinated by three Masons. Not until the Masonic murder of William Morgan did Finney begin preaching anti-Masonry along with his revival messages. By 1830, 40,000 of the 50,000 Masons in America had renounced Freemasonry, & 2,000 lodges had closed their doors. For all practical purposes Freemasonry was dead, so thought Finney. After the American Civil War, however, Freemasonry was stronger than ever. Consequently, in 1869, Finney was compelled to write a book on the subject. Finney begins with details of the Masonic abduction & murder of Captain William Morgan. He quotes the deathbed confession of one of the assassins. He then informs the church of its responsibility toward the Masonic Lodge. With the exception of a new introduction & epilogue, Jon Kregal, Inc. Publishing reprinted Finney's book without alteration.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Power of God at WorkCharles Finney’s ministry led to some of the most amazing revivals that have ever occurred in the United States or England. In Holy Spirit Revivals, Finney recalls those events, revealing the secrets that led to the mass conversions of lost souls in his meetings throughout upstate New York, as well as in Boston, Philadelphia, and London. Finney was unafraid of offending delicate ears by addressing the problem of sin head-on, and his dedication to prayer, his understanding of Scripture, and his radical reliance on the power of the Holy Spirit are a great template for believers today. This treasured account of one of the greatest Christian preachers in history is an outstanding resource for anyone interested in seeing a revival of faith in the church.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There are only two roads; one leads to heaven and one leads to hell. This is a spiritual fact, without change or compromise; there is no middle road and no chance to "sit on the fence". There are numerous false religions operating in the world today, falsely broadcasting themselves as truth or as God's truth for that matter. These religions may, on the contrary, be the foundation of lifelong poverty, family breakdown, mental derangement, physical illness or varying manifestations of bizarre behavior in the lives of people. These individuals have either turned their back on the true God completely or, by their actions, have allowed some of these pagan and false religious practises to creep into there every day lives. By clinging to these pagan traditions, we inadvertently give Satan a foothold in our lives. In these books these false religions have been measured up against the word, wisdom and knowledge of God. The word of God says that His word is like fire and is a hammer that breaks rocks into pieces.
