Book Synopsis The Blessed Human Race by : George Jochnowitz

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Professor George Jochnowitz and his daughter Miriam were teaching in China at the time of the Tiananmen Massacre in 1989. The experience drastically changed the author's way of thinking about Marxism. Professor Jochnowitz saw that the rulers of China were acting in the spirit of Karl Marx, whose writing logically led to dictatorship and famine. Many people have expressed negative views about communism. Some have harsh words for Marxism as well. Almost nobody, however, will take the next step and relate the cruelty of Marxism to the words of Marx. Living and teaching in China led Professor Jochnowitz to cross this line and examine his experience and new outlook in The Blessed Human Race. Having crossed this political line, Professor Jochnowitz crossed others as well. His thoughts about faith of any sort, religious or political, became negative. The idea of justification through faith became morally offensive. He concluded that this world has too many idols that go unquestioned. Questioning major and minor taboos, including interpretation of works of music as well as politics and religion, he concludes that the human race's virtue is found in questioning rather than obedience. This is due to what I initially condemn as a lie, this is due to the curses and the blessings of the father upon his three sons, the three original race of the world. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since the history of the entire universe, statistics have proven that the problem of infertility has risen over the last two decades. We have many more couples with inabilities to have biological children of their own, with cases of miscarriages, fibroid, tumors, and complications in delivery. So the question has been what changed? The answer lies in the newly released book titled ‘The Blessing of Sarah’. An expository book on what the fertility God has to say about empowerment for conception, full-time gestation period and safe delivery. The author goes beyond unravelling the simplistic notion about these problems confronting women and brings to light God’s clever ways of addressing them, such that, if women can understand them, they could conceive their own biological children notwithstanding the limitations. It has got practical and powerful answers to many questions confronting women’s conception, providing readers with scriptural analogies on how to handle the cases of barrenness, miscarriages, fibroid tumors in women and complications in delivery, including Bible-based prayers for reversing all that was not so from the beginning with the woman. With recent incidences of fibroid operation claiming many women’s lives, the book reveals a better way of handling it, showing how the fertility God rids out fibroid without Him applying a pin on women’s flesh just to ensure they conceive and bear kids. It analyses how the working of the blessing organises the process of conception through to having a full-time gestation period unto safe delivery, providing significant insights to what can be done to successfully complete the process irrespective of standing limitations. The author concluded by making a compelling case for treating the belief of living and dying childless by sharing series of testimonies from couples who had challenges conceiving but now have their own biological kids through the working of the blessing of the womb upon their lives. It is a must-read for all expecting couples, potential couples, and women who desire to bear kids in their lifetime and without much trouble too.

Book Synopsis Developing the Lonergan Legacy by : Frederick E. Crowe, S.J.
Download or read book Developing the Lonergan Legacy written by Frederick E. Crowe, S.J. and published by University of Toronto Press. This book was released on 2016-02-24 with total page 436 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Comprising twenty papers, including six never before published, this long-awaited work spans the fifty-year career of noted theologian Frederick E. Crowe, a scholar who has devoted himself to studying, expounding, and making available the writings of Bernard Lonergan, the well-known Canadian Jesuit philosopher and theologian who died in 1984. The publication of these papers, compiled by Michael Vertin, is a tribute both to their subject and to their author. Developing the Lonergan Legacy both recounts the history of Lonergan’s work in philosophy and theology, and offers significant theoretical and existential developments of that work. Divided into two sections – ‘studies,’ which examines the historical context of Lonergan and his writings, and ‘essays,’ which applies Lonergan’s work in different directions – the essays in this volume are motivated by Crowe’s deep concern for the concrete intellectual, moral, and religious welfare of his readers, of all those whom his readers might influence, and ultimately of the entire human community. Vertin’s meticulous editing and thoughtful sequencing only add to the uniquely spiritual character of Crowe’s works.
