Book excerpt: In this compelling work on Flat Earth Theory, David Waldo Scott uses a collection of scripture, reason, and fact to argue against the idea that the earth is a planet. Since its publication in 1901, Terra Firma: the Earth Not a Planet, Proved From Scripture, Reason, and Fact has become one of the primary texts on the subject and is a wonderful insight into the philosophy of a bygone age. Focussing on the work made by ‘modern astronomers’, Scott draws on testimonies from travellers past, biblical scriptures, as well as other concepts from flat earth theorists to produce a wide-ranging collection of evidence to support his argument. Chapters in the book include: - The Adamic Creation - The Nebular Hypothesis: Examination of Three Alleged Proofs of the World’s Globularity - The World Circular, But Not Globular; Has Immovable Foundations, Therefore Not a Planet - The Horizontally of Land and Water Proved - The Sun, Moon, and Stars, According to Modern Astronomy - The Deluge – Biblical Account Despite being written over a decade ago, this work by David Waldo Scott continues to inspire modern generations. This edition by Read & Co. Books features an introduction to astronomy and is an interesting read for those interested in Flat Earth Theory and Christianity.

Book excerpt: Excerpt from Terra Firma, the Earth Not a Planet: Proved From Scripture, Reason and Fact I am now an old man, and, had I consulted my own comfort, would never have penned a line of this book, as for some years I have had cataract in both eyes, so that it was not without difiiculty that I. Could read or write. So great, however, appeared to be the need, and being still anxious to serve my generation, I determined to undertake this work, in order to expose the fallacies of Modern Astronomy, which are so contrary to the Word of God, and so conducive to the promotion of Infidelity. I do not enter the lists arrayed in the panoply of Neo Science, to fight this great Goliath, but only with a few pebbles of the brook, yet I trust that, with God's blessing, the attempt may not be altogether fruitless. Book excerpt: The Natural Philosophy Alliance (NPA) sponsors regular international conferences for presenting high-quality papers discussing aspects of philosophy in the sciences. Many papers offer challenges to accepted orthodoxy in the sciences, especially in physics. Everything from the micro-physics of quantum mechanics to the macro-physics of cosmology is entertained.Though the main interest of the NPA is in challenging orthodoxy in the sciences, it will also feature papers defending such orthodoxy. Our ultimate propose is to enable participants to articulate their own understanding of the truth. All papers are reviewed by society officers, and sometimes by other members, before presentation in conferences and they are edit, sometimes very significantly prior to publication in the Proceedings of the NPA.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For more than half a century the theory of continental drift was widely derided. Innovators developing the radical theory were labelled as unscientific by well-known science authorities. But then, in the space of a few years, virtually all opposition dramatically collapsed. Continental drift transformed into plate tectonics and became widely acknowledged as one of the most profound scientific revolutions of the twentieth century. Yet a number of science innovators who had been closely involved with creating this new theory of the Earth continued to research an even more radical theory. They saw evidence that the new geological theory was incomplete, arguing that continental drift was caused by the Earth expanding in size. These science innovators give us a unique insight into their experiences. They relate their personal histories of Earth expansion in 14 original essays. The Hidden History of Earth Expansion presents the unique personal histories of British, American, Australian, German, Polish, Romanian, Indian, Albanian and Jamaican science innovators as they strived to produce a modern theory of the Earth. It includes chapters expressly written for the book by some of the most well-known researchers into Earth expansion: Hugh G. Owen, Cliff Ollier, Karl-Heinz Jacob, James Maxlow, Jan Koziar, Stefan Cwojdziñski, Carl Strutinski, Stephen W. Hurrell, John B. Eichler, William C. Erickson, David Noel, Zahid A. Khan, Ram Chandra Tewari, Vedat Shehu and Richard Guy. In addition to furnishing us with their personal histories of Earth expansion and the seemingly overwhelming evidence for its confirmation, the authors’ highlight areas where further research is required.

Book excerpt: David Wardlaw Scott examines and criticizes a variety of sources who claim the earth to be round - as a proponent of flat earth theory, Scott argues against this view. A strong supporter of flat earth theory, Scott focuses upon the claims made by a group he terms 'Modern Astronomers'. Their assertions about the Earth's shape, orbit and other characteristics are, in the author's view, incorrect. Drawing on a combination of testimonies from sailors and other voyagers to faraway lands, passages from scripture, and the assertions of fellow flat earth theorists, Scott lists dozens of reasons why the Modern Astronomers are misguided and wrong. To name but a few examples - the characteristics of railways, the positions and apparent motions of the astronomic bodies like the Moon and Sun, and the age of the Earth each receive chapters. Scott posits that the characteristics of these supports the flat earth hypothesis, while Biblical stories such as the Great Flood depicted in the Book of Genesis also contain insights that further qualify the flat earth theory. Citing published works such as Zetetic Astronomy, Scott's lengthy narrative is wide-ranging. In all, this book is a representative summation of the beliefs and arguments used by the flat earth movement.

Book excerpt: Science is never settled. New revolutionary ideas have always overturned the settled sciences of the past. In this far–reaching book the author looks beyond plate tectonics in order to detail the next earth science revolution. Drawing upon his work from four decades as a professional geologist and researcher the author reveals the weaknesses of conventional plate tectonic theory. This research utilizes an extensive range of global observational data in order to reverse–engineer geology back in time. Reverse–engineering seafloor and crustal geology enables past plate assemblages and configurations of the ancient continents to be accurately constrained using geology rather than geophysics. From this, a series of spherical geological models of the Earth are presented showing the precise locations and configurations of the ancient continents, ranging back in time to the early–Archaean. These plate assemblages represent the first time that models of the ancient Earth have been geologically constrained back to the early–Archaean. An extensive range of additional global observational data are then displayed on the spherical models in order to quantify the location of the ancient poles and equator, climate zones, biogenic distributions, exposed lands and seas, as well as global distributions of hydrocarbon and metallic resources. The research outcomes presented in this book are applicable to all disciplines of the Earth sciences and will appeal to a broad range of professional expertise, in particular those with a grounding in the Earth sciences. It is a must read for undergraduates and professionals alike.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In recent years the statement that crude oil and natural gas are running out has a profound influence on the world economic strategies and on world politics as well as on the future of all humankind. But is this scientific conception of the world totally wrong? This is a must-read book! The renewed interest in the planets that resulted during the 2000s from the space probe investigations caused by Hans-Joachim Zillmer to think about the origin of planetary bodies and the various volatile substances of their atmospheres. Scientists are surprised and have no lucid explanation that abundant hydrocarbons even occur on comets and as already proofed on other planets or its moons. In this book is described that this volatile substances on planetary bodies are not of biology origin. These inorganic components of the Earth's mantle are continually out gassing toward the surface by geological and mechanical forces. Our planet would be replete with methane and we are not running out of petroleum? The energy crises would be over. There are many other reasons for wanting to understand the principle of operation of our solar system with the energy supply of planetary bodies. Suppose someone claimed that life on Earth started below the surface of our planet and if we find extraterrestrial life it is likely to be within, but not on, other planets. Darwin's theory of macroevolution must be rewritten. This heretic science book rejects the ideas of conventional geology, geophysics and astronomy, but instead demonstrates in layman's terms how the Earth originated and where the continents, the ocean and the atmosphere came from. This highly exciting and controversial German bestselling book The Energy Mistake shows that the history of Earth must also be replaced. We see a brilliant thinker as he develops a revolutionary view about the fundamental workings of our planet and the solar systems. This is a must-read book

Book excerpt: This book describes how the effects of nature's own nuclear reactors have shaped the Earth, the Solar System, the Universe, and the history of life as we know it. It focuses on observed effects that are poorly explained by our standard theories, identifies certain errors in those theories, and shows how these effects are caused by natural nuclear fission reactors. The theory of Plate Tectonics is wrong, and it is shown that expansion of the Earth causes continental drift. A physically reasonable mechanism is proposed for expansion and observational data are presented to show that this occurs. Evolution is explained as punctuated equilibrium, with mutations caused by abrupt surges of radiation, and related life forms that have been interpreted as seperate species are actually the result of radiation injury. This view is particularly effective as applied to humans. The ability of the dinosaurs to live so large is explained by use of Earth Expansion and a more massive atmosphere to provide buoyancy and effective transpiration of oxygen. These effects also explain how pterodactyls and ancient birds could fly. Expansion induced by impacts at the end of the Cretaceous caused the atmosphere to thin and the dinosaurs collapsed. Analysis of geological and biological data supports this. The astronomical distance scale is shown to be wrong, based on the misconception that trigonometric parallax is an absolute measurement. It isn't, and the method is led astray by the overwhelming number of asteroidal fragments masquerading as stars. The measurements of an expanding Universe are shown to be in error, and an expanding Universe is not needed by an alternative interpretation of Einstein's equations. This interpretation is based on the equal creation of matter and antimatter, which is known to occur. Spiral galaxies are not vast Island Universes of stars as we have thought, but are shown to be the strewn fields of debris from the nuclear fission detonation of distant planets. The Universe is not made up of 96% Dark Matter and Dark Energy, but is instead very ordinary. Abundant evidence and references provide support for all these interpretations. This book opens new opportunities for research by correcting several fundamental errors in our concepts of the Earth, Life, and the Universe.
