Book excerpt: Notre recherche se focalise sur l’innovation industrielle dans le contexte de l’économie de marché.Dans ce cadre, nous abordons la problématique de la créativité par le questionnement de l’interaction entre créativité et capitalisation des connaissances de l’entreprise. Tout d’abord nous examinons, compte tenu des informations qui nous sont accessibles, les travaux de recherche du Génie Industriel ou de domaines connexes réalisés dans les domaines de la conception, de l’innovation, de la créativité et de la capitalisation des connaissances. Nous montrons les différences et les concordances entre créativité et conception, puis nous positionnerons la créativité au sein d’un processus d’innovation et enfin nous analyserons les relations avérées entre créativité et capitalisation des connaissances. Cette approche permet de positionner notre travail, son cadre et de définir précisément notre question de recherche.Ensuite, nous présentons des enquêtes qualitatives de terrain dont les résultats nous ont permis d’élaborer un premier modèle de la créativité. Les résultats ont été confrontés à la synthèse du corpus théorique ainsi qu’à l’analyse des outils d’aide à la créativité, ceci pour construire une modélisation d’une démarche de créativité industrielle. Ce premier modèle a été soumis à l’analyse d’acteurs de la créativité. Nous avons ensuite construit et confronté un nouvelle version de notre modèle au crible de projets de créativité pour en mesurer sa potentielle généricité.Finalement, nous avons développé un outil dynamique permettant d’instrumenter partiellement le modèle proposé dans le but de répondre à notre question de recherche.
