Book excerpt: This is the first book I have ever written. This is a fiction based on a true story of a manipulative wicked stepfather who captures the heart of a beautiful, innocent married woman with three childrenone boy and two girlsfrom a different class background. The stepfather is hell-bent on jealousy of the younger siblings, especially the boy. The stepfather disregards his own family, leaving behind his wife and his only son, with no regard to contacting them in the future. An expression from the author who has lived this life does not want this to happen to anybody else, giving you an insight to the manipulation of a wicked stepfather, who manipulates a young boy to remove him from the family with the use of cunning, evil manipulation in such a way that alters the personality and social standing of the young boy, eventually removing him from the family unit and destroying his morals at same time, with a disregard to the young boys feelings, and at the same time, destroying his social life and future.

Daniel (the Lamb) discovered his sisters had no limits to their scheming, deceptions and treachery used against him, for no cause or provocation, but to satisfy their greed of obtaining their parents largest inheritance for themselves. This story is unfortunately common, but as it unfolds we identify the unethical methods used by Evilena (the Snake) and Wicee (The Bear) to accomplish their ploy of absconding with hundreds of thousands of dollars, reflect on personality disorders, the loss of their Christian faith and make suggestions for legal aid to protect an elder's Last Will & Testament and your inheritance. We hope this stories information may help inform and prevent someone in a family from absconding with an inheritance from lawful heir(s). If you have siblings and elderly parents you owe it to yourself to read this story.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: With The Medicine Wheel for Stepparents, I hope to give some understanding and relief to blended families. Stepfamilies have common threads of dysfunction. There are many issues that form these common threads. These issues occur between stepparent and stepchild and biological parent, biological child, and extended family in blended families. I have listed the issues and have offered affordable solutions that are within our grasp. These common threads reappear in every aspect of family life, including financial matters such as your childs Social Security checks, child-support checks, medical bills, and the parents will. These issues occur when the power structure changes in a home after a divorce or death in a family. Everyone is left in a gigantic power struggle, which retires parents prematurely. Stepparents and stepchildren feel that they must protect their territory, ego, and family with secrets, isolation, intimidation, manipulation, and stonewalling behavior. When stepfamilies are choking, parents, stepparents, and stepchildren do not have to be severely depressed, take multiple medications for depression and energy, get a divorce, or attempt suicide for relief. Biological parents and stepparents do not have to be retired prematurely. There are better ways to keep everyone functioning in blended families. My book will not take away all the opposition you experience in blended families. We learn by overcoming opposition, not creating opposition. This book helps you analyze and carry the opposition to your efforts for your blended family.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A few decades ago, stepparent homes were few and in between, but today they have become almost as common as non-stepparent homes. In Why Is A Stepfather Called A Stepfather? J. F. McCormick, III., focuses on the stepfather because it seems as though the majority of stepparent homes are headed by stepfathers. He then differentiates between the bad stepfather and the good stepfather. The latter being the one who deserves a lot of praise but rarely receives it because society lumps the good in with the bad and looks down on both. The good stepfather deserves much praise because he is constantly exposed to problems with the children and many times with his wife that the biological father dont have to face. Problems like being told: Youre not my father! You cant tell me what to do! Problems like being told: Youre not their father! You cant spank them! Gods special love for stepfathers comes to view as He arranged for Moses and Jesus to be raised by stepfathers! Many mothers and stepchildren will be challenged to value good stepfathers the way that God values them as they strive to make a difficult family situation more livable.

I decided to be more conscientious about reading my scriptures. Instead of letting the word of God lie hidden in my heart or dormant on my end tables, I decided to look for the laws of depression. I found them in the scriptures. I found the pace that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ created for us in this world.

Special treatment issues covered include working with single-parent families, outside systems (peers, school, probation officers), divorce and stepfamily problems, and substance misuse. Clearly written, practical, and accessible, the book uses actual case examples to demonstrate each step of the approach.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The issue of Childhood Sexual Experiences (CSEs) is highly controversial, and has generated considerable disagreement and conflict. Such experiences are often framed as child sexual abuse (CSA) within a discourse of child maltreatment. Sexual activity between adults and young children is indeed abuse, and fully merits the moral stance taken by therapists, health professionals and society. However, Childhood Sexual Experiences presents evidence that viewing all CSEs through the same prism of abuse, victimhood and commonly-held perceptions of gender socialisation may not always allow those affected to tell the whole story. Not all those who experienced sexual activity as children view themselves as victims, believe that their experiences had a profoundly or irrevocably negative impact on their lives, or view their experiences as 'abusive'. Others do not want their identities to be linked to specific events in childhood. Applying a positive psychology approach, Childhood Sexual Experiences recounts and explores the stories of those who have shown an ability to come to terms with or overcome the difficulties that they have faced, exploring the insights these narratives of resilience present to therapists and health and social care professionals. 'I would encourage you to read this book with an open mind and to look for the strength and determination to be found in these narratives, remembering that those who are resilient may teach us how better to help those who are less fortunate.' - Sally V

Book excerpt: MANipulated Into Fear is based on a true story about a man I went to high school with and years later married and divorced three times within thirteen years. His name was Rolf. During this time, I was living the dark side of life but others perceived me as living a happy and perfect life. Back in our high school days Rolf grew up as a farmer and drank beer with his buddies. After high school he began to run with the wrong crowd and changed dramatically. I knew he liked to drink a lot of beer and liquor and had used drugs in the past, but I was not aware of his addictive personality and the severity of his addictions. At the beginning of our relationship each time he portrayed himself as the man I had thought he was years before. Within a period of time he began to manipulate me into fear and take control of my life to benefit himself. All three times in the beginning of my relationship with Rolf he was dedicated to Christ, was family-oriented, charming, kind, respectful, and loving, complimented me all the time, apologized for his actions, and knew how to make me feel sorry for him. Shortly after I would marry him he would begin to manipulate and con me into doing things I did not want to do. Rolf would call me uncountable times during the day and want to know my whereabouts. He then insisted on being with me except for when I was at work. This took my time away from friends and family, and that is when the mental abuse began. He stopped complimenting me and began calling me names making me feel worthless, and told me that nobody liked me. When I would accuse him of wrongdoings he would become outraged, screaming at me and using profanity. After he gained control of me, the physical abuse began. Later, I learned that I had repeatedly been involved with a psychopath and that there is always a pattern. Get out of the relationship and don't go back! The person will never change!
