None of the previous measurements extend to temperatures below 0° C. Von Strombeck 1 (1890) used the method of mixtures. About 128 g of ammonia contained in a steel bomb were used in a calori meter having a water equivalent of about 1 kg. The heat capacity from 30° to 60° was observed. Eight experiments were made.
