This book was released on 2021-06-14 with total page 1667 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Thomas Watson was a 17th-century minister at the church of St. Stephen Walbrook in London. As a pastor, he set himself two goals. First, he wanted unbelievers to grieve over their fate and realize the necessity of God's grace. On the other hand, he wanted believers to rejoice in the assurance that they had received God's grace. His books are simple but exciting commentaries with many practical examples and applications. He explains the paradox that both good and bad events contribute to the benefit of believers. He spends a great deal of time explaining what it means to love God and be called by His will. In this book, Watson manages to answer one of the most plaguing theological questions of all time: Why do bad things happen to good people? This eBook includes the following 14 volumes by Thomas Watson: Body of Practical Divinity The Ten Commandments The Lord's Prayer The Beatitudes The Godly Man's Picture The Art of Divine Contentment A Treatise Concerning Meditation The Great Gain of Godliness The Doctrine of Repentance The Mischief of Sin A Divine Cordial The Christian Soldier The Christian's Charter The Duty of Self-Denial

This book was released on 2020-01-23 with total page 120 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This teacher manual is based on Betsy Caram’s book Women of Influence and Distinction. In this book the author shows it is very evident from Scripture that women are, and always have been, very much involved in the plan and purposes of God in the earth. Women have been the instruments of God in the past, and He still uses them today to accomplish His ministry to a lost and dying world. This book will examine the lives of many of the women found in Scripture, considering the special characteristics which caused them to be recorded in the Bible’s sacred pages.

Book Synopsis Companion to Endgame at Stalingrad by : David M. Glantz
Download or read book Companion to Endgame at Stalingrad written by David M. Glantz and published by University Press of Kansas. This book was released on 2014-06-09 with total page 856 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In Endgame at Stalingrad, the final volume of his acclaimed Stalingrad Trilogy, David Glantz completes his definitive account of one of World War II’s most infamous confrontations, the campaign that marked Germany’s failure on the Eastern Front and proved to be a turning point in the war. In documenting the last days of the Stalingrad campaign, in particular the Red Army’s counteroffensive known at Operation Uranus, Glantz takes on a plethora of myths and controversial questions surrounding these events, in particular, questions about why Operation Uranus succeeded and the German relief attempts failed, whether the Sixth Army could have escaped encirclement or been rescued, and who, finally was most responsible for its ultimate defeat. In addition to a wide variety of traditional sources, this volume makes use of two major categories of documentary materials hitherto unavailable to researchers. The first consists of extensive records from the combat journal of the German Sixth Army, which had been largely missing since the war’s end and were only recently rediscovered and published. The second is a vast amount of newly released Soviet and Russian archival material including excerpts from the Red Army General Staff’s daily operational summaries; a wide variety of Stavka (High Command), People’s Commissariat of Defense (NKO), and Red Army General Staff orders and directives; and the daily records of the Soviet 62nd Army and its subordinate divisions and brigades for most of the time fighting was underway in Stalingrad proper. Because of the persistent controversy and mythology characterizing this period, many of these documents are included verbatim in English translation in this companion volume, providing concrete evidence in support of the conclusions put forward in Volume Three. As such, the Companion contributes substantially to this final volume’s unprecedented detail and fresh perspectives, interpretations, and evaluations of the later stages of the Stalingrad campaign.

Book Synopsis Put on the Whole Armor of God: The Spiritual Weapons of the Christian and How to Put Them On by : Dr. Larry E. Beauchamp
Download or read book Put on the Whole Armor of God: The Spiritual Weapons of the Christian and How to Put Them On written by Dr. Larry E. Beauchamp and published by PublishAmerica. This book was released on 2009-04-13 with total page 141 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Spiritual warfare in the life of the Christian is a constant battle. We are never free from the battles that rage in our flesh, our mind, the world, or in the spiritual realm where Satan rules supreme as the power of darkness and sin. In God’s wisdom, He has made provision for the Christian to avoid many battles, to be victorious in those battles we must confront, and to live an effective, joyful life for Christ. That provision is the armor of God. In this book you will learn important facts about the sources of our battles and about each piece of armor. However, the story does not end with simply providing information. You will learn, from Scripture, how to put on the armor God has provided for you. Without wearing God’s armor, you leave your spiritual life exposed to temptations and battles, which you will needlessly have to fight. Putting on the whole armor of God will divert Satan’s attacks in order to continue serving God without being sidetracked from your primary mission of glorifying God. You will still face battles and temptations wearing your armor. The difference is that His armor will help you handle them in such a way that you grow through them instead of losing the battles and yielding to temptations.
