Con estas tecnologías se puede tener acceso a información relevante en cualquier momento y desde cualquier lugar; así las empresas encuentran gran utilidad para implementar dichas soluciones en sus procesos y expandir sus funcionalidades; por ejemplo: tener la posibilidad de transferir datos de la oficina corporativa a un agente de ventas o a un técnico en la ruta hacia un cliente, de acceder la información en tiempo real para consultar el status de una entrega, disponibilidad de refacciones o resultados de estudios médicos, etc. Esta tesis consiste de un estudio exploratorio de carácter cualitativo, que trata de investigar a través de encuestas a empresas que desarrollen aplicaciones móviles y a empresas que utilicen soluciones móviles, el grado de desarrollo del cómputo móvil en México, así como saber que ventajas y problemas han tenido hasta el día de hoy para su implementación. Como resultado de esta investigación, se muestran los datos que arrojaron las encuestas, los cuales sirvieron como fuente para poder proponer recomendaciones para el establecimiento exitoso de estas tecnologías en empresas.

La fuerte desaceleración del comercio mundial responde tanto a la acumulación de barreras comerciales desde 2018 como a otros factores de más larga data. Entre estos se destacan la menor demanda mundial, la creciente sustitución de importaciones por producción nacional en algunas economías, la menor proporción de la producción china que se destina a la exportación, el retroceso de las cadenas globales de valor y la irrupción de nuevas tecnologías que causan un impacto en la naturaleza misma del comercio. En el capítulo II se analiza la forma en que el comercio internacional puede hacer un mayor aporte a la sostenibilidad ambiental. Los vínculos entre comercio y medioambiente se han hecho más visibles desde los años noventa, como muestra el aumento de las controversias comerciales vinculadas con aspectos ambientales y la creciente incorporación de capítulos ambientales en los acuerdos comerciales. Por último, en el capítulo III se examina la situación de la infraestructura y la logística, aspectos clave para el comercio internacional y la producción. Se concluye destacando la necesidad de reexaminar las políticas públicas en materia de concesiones de infraestructura económica y el rol central de la acción regulatoria del Estado, especialmente en el ámbito de la competencia.

Book excerpt: In this paper we analyze the incidence of the VAT and its effects on the income distribution. To identify these effects, we rely on two tax reforms undertaken in Mexico that increased the VAT rate for a group of cities and left the rest unaffected. We compare the inflation rate of the affected cities with the exempted cities before and after the law changed. We find that the effect on prices is limited and conclude that the burden of the tax is indeed shared between producers and consumers. Regarding welfare, we find that the VAT is progressive in both absolute and relative terms to the overall expenditure. Finally, we show that an identical change in the VAT rate when inflation is high and persistent doubles its pass-through to inflation and its welfare loss for the average household.
