Book excerpt: Christi Columbo is a Bio-Chemist for Futura Consulting in New York City. She has done vast amounts of work on the Netrosia Project which if successful will create a chemical compound that will irradicate the Jihadi Bin Laden forces in Afghanistan caves. Alfred Monk became friends with Christie after meeting on Matchmate.com and a spark of romance ensued afterward. Alfred is a programmer for Tech One software and is working on the Netrosia project and doesnt know it. When Christie takes a flight to London to finalize the missile deal and put it into action with the Air Force the Continental flight that she was on was bombed by terrorists. Onboard was Senator Douglas Eisenhower whose body was found dead in the Atlantic. Christie's body was never found. With the help of Angelica and Tony who retrieve Alfred from questioning at the NYPD Alfred believes Christie is still alive and will stop at nothing to find her. This book has Army Rangers storming in on a Saudi compound, Navy Seals diving to the ocean floor to end the Jihadi threat to the US and a speech by Barak Obama. There is also tons of humor on just about every page as well as some romance not on every page but good stuff none the less. Overall it is a great adventure ride till the last page of the book so enjoy I know I did writing it. This book examines what if the next attack from Osama Bin Laden's followers is worse than 911?

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A fairy-tale reimagining of Snow White and Rose Red from the New York Times bestselling author-illustrator Emily Winfield Martin. Filled with stunning illustrations. "Emily Winfield Martin — reimagine[s] Brothers Grimm fairy tales, treating delight, with a few grisly bits folded in, as its own reward. The deeper meanings of these stories do emerge, but the pleasure they give is paramount." —The New York Times Snow and Rose didn’t know they were in a fairy tale. People never do. . . . Once, they lived in a big house with spectacular gardens and an army of servants. Once, they had a father and mother who loved them more than the sun and moon. But that was before their father disappeared into the woods and their mother disappeared into sorrow. This is the story of two sisters and the enchanted woods that have been waiting for them to break a set of terrible spells. In Snow & Rose, bestselling author-illustrator Emily Winfield Martin retells the traditional but little-known fairy tale “Snow White and Rose Red.” The beautiful full-color illustrations throughout and unusual yet relatable characters will bring readers back to this book again and again.

Book excerpt: The Economic Emergence of Modern Japan is a useful book for those interested in how Japan succeeded in transforming an agricultural economy into an advanced industrial economy. This volume brings together chapters from The Cambridge History of Japan, Volumes 5 and 6, and The Cambridge Economic History of Europe, Volume 7, part 2. Each of the seven chapters, written by leading specialists in Japanese economic history, explains in an authoritative, detailed analysis how institutions, the behaviour of individuals and firms, and official policies changed in order to enable Japan to accumulate capital, adopt new technology, ensure a skilled labour-force, and increase exports of manufactured goods. The authors pay special attention to distinctive Japanese institutions and policies, the effect of the Tokugawa legacy, and the impact of various wars, and the global economy.
