Book excerpt: This book is all-encompassing and comprehensive in its descriptions of the portents of the Last Hour. Allaah sent Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) with the truth to give glad tidings to mankind and to warn them before the strike of the Hour such that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) neither left any good except that he showed mankind and exhorted them to practise it, nor did he leave any evil except that he warned them about it and forbade them from indulging in it. It was expedient for the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) to inform his followers about the coming of the Hour and the portents heralding it as well as other matters of the unseen as he (صلى الله عليه وسلم) was the last Prophet and Messenger sent to mankind, while his followers are the last community or generation (Ummah).Although Allaah has concealed the knowledge of the exact time of the Hour and the Day of Resurrection from the whole of mankind, Allaah has, however, revealed to His chosen Prophet the signs of the Hour and has acquainted him with the events that would take place on earth before its coming. And all that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) has said on this matter were not out of his own desire; rather, they are revelation from Allaah, the Exalted and Most High. The preceding events before the Last Hour are generally grouped into two:I. Minor Signs or Lesser Signs or Distant SignsII. Major Signs or Greater Signs or Near SignsThe minor or lesser signs are referred to as such not because they are less significant than the major signs but rather due to their repeated occurrence, their occurring without any specific sequence and their placement when compared to the major signs with respect to the blast of the Hour and Day of Resurrection; most of the minor signs occur from time to time and from places to places. The major signs, however, follow one another in a sequence; they are much closer to the Hour and actually herald it. These major signs are the closest signs to the last Day or Day of Resurrection.Today, some of the minor signs prophesied by the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) are at their peak and some are still at the beginning of their development. All will eventually culminate into the major signs. These major signs will occur one after the other and they are referred to as "Near Signs" because they will be the signs closest to the establishment of the Last Hour when the trumpet will be blown. When a sign of the Hour mentioned by the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) comes to pass and the people witness it, they begin to realize that the coming of the Hour is an inevitable event of which there is no doubt. They will hold the Hour with fear and esteem and make preparations for it by performing good deeds and eschewing evil deeds. This is Allaah''s justice to mankind before the torment of the Day of Recompense, "Lest a person should say: ''Ah! Woe upon me that I neglected my duty towards Allaah and I was indeed among those who mocked [at the truth],'' or lest he should say: ''If only Allaah had guided me, I should indeed have been among the righteous,'' or lest he should say when he sees the torment: ''If only I had another chance [to return to the world], then I should indeed be among those who do good.''" (ref. Soorah az-Zumar [39]:56-58)Attempts have been made in the book utilizing the most authentic and reliable sources to enumerate the signs of the Last Hour prophesied by Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم).Likewise, effort has been made in the book to expel the distortions, prophecies and fantasies of the futurists, the seers and the prognosticators, who, at difference times, make predictions of the end and destruction of the universe, creating panic and commotion, and at the same time gaining recognition. It is a well-researched book and it is thoroughly referenced for seekers of knowledge and seekers of truth.

Book excerpt: Completing our conscious evolution by releasing our collective fear of catastrophes • Explains how we are on the cusp of an era of incredible creative growth • Shows how we are about to overcome the collective fear caused by ancient catastrophes as we awaken to the memories of our lost prehistory • Examines legendary cataclysms and scientific evidence of a highly advanced global culture that disappeared 11,500 years ago In this completely revised and expanded edition of Catastrophobia, bestselling author Barbara Hand Clow explains how we are on the cusp of an age of incredible creative growth made possible by restoring our lost prehistory. Examining legendary cataclysms--such as the fall of Atlantis and the biblical Flood--and the mounting geological and archaeological evidence that many of these mythic catastrophes were actual events, she reveals the existence of a highly advanced global maritime culture that disappeared amid great earth changes and rising seas 14,000 to 11,500 years ago, nearly causing our species’ extinction and leaving humanity’s collective psyche deeply scarred. Tracing humanity’s reemergence after these prehistoric catastrophes, Clow explains how these events in the deep past influence our consciousness today. Guided by Carl Johan Calleman’s analysis of the Mayan Calendar, she reveals that as the Earth’s 26,000-year precessional cycle shifts, our evolution is accelerating to prepare us for a new age of harmony and peace. She explains how we are beginning a collective healing as ancient memories of prehistory awaken in our minds and release our unprocessed fear. Passed from generation to generation, this fear has been responsible for our constant expectations of apocalypse. She shows that by remembering and moving beyond the trauma of our long lost past, we bring the era of cataclysms to an end and cross the threshold into a time of extraordinary creative activity.

Book excerpt: Join author John Bliss in his theological study, Armageddon Again: Where Have We Been and Where Are We Headed, and discover the hidden truth about the many wonders of the world. Learn the basics for pursuing our destiny through revealing our past and the three worldwide cataclysmic periods: fire, ice and water. Whether you are a novice to theology or a scholar, this book will unlock your inner curiosity about religion and our future. Armageddon Again suggests that we are on the cusp of one final period of fire, as stated not only in Scripture but countless other ancient reports. Ancient records detail that Satan misguided man through cataclysmic events to incorporate an advanced and technological way of life that led them away from God. Proof is scattered across our planet that ancient civilizations were more technologically advanced than we are today and built what Bliss calls Wonderworks: magnificent stone structures and drawings etched into the earth's landscape. Armageddon Again is the key that opens the door to our hidden past and certain future that is critical for all of mankind to know. Everybody on the face of the planet, regardless of their religion, must realize that we are all bonded by the same history that draws us to the Divine. This history has been hidden from us by Satan in order to keep us from being in union with our heavenly Father. This union is the catalyst to not only usher in Jesus as King on Earth, but to also save those from the final cataclysm of fire that Scripture and other cultural texts warn us about. Once these revelations are brought to light, we will have no choice but to change how we live both physically and spiritually. John Bliss resides in Center Line, Michigan, with his wife, Mary. They have four children and are blessed with three grandchildren who live in Vancouver, Washington.

Book excerpt: Building on the esoteric information first revealed in Land of Osiris, this exciting book presents more of Abd'El Hakim's oral traditions, with radical new interpretations of how religion evolved in prehistoric and dynastic Khemit, or Egypt. * Have popular modern religions developed out of practices in ancient Egypt? * Did religion in Egypt represent only a shadow of the spiritual practices of prehistoric people? * Have the Western Mystery Schools such as the Rosicrucian Order evolved from these ancient systems? * Author Mehler explores the teachings of the King Akhenaten and the real Moses, the true identity of the Hyksos, and Akhenaten’s connections to The Exodus, Judaism and the Rosicrucian Order. Here for the first time in the West, are the spiritual teachings of the ancient Khemitians, the foundation for the coming new cycle of consciousness—The Awakening; more.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: • Bestselling author Barbara Hand Clow examines legendary cataclysms and shows how we are about to overcome the collective fear they have instilled in us. • The long-awaited follow-up that continues the revelations begun in The Pleiadian Agenda, which has sold more than 60,000 copies. • Explains why, contrary to many prophets of doom, we are actually on the cusp of an era of incredible creative growth. The recent discovery of the remains of ancient villages buried beneath the Black Sea is the latest instance of mounting evidence that many of the "mythic" catastrophes of history--the fall of Atlantis, the Biblical Flood--were actual events. In Catastrophobia Barbara Hand Clow shows that a series of cataclysmic disasters, caused by a massive disturbance in the Earth's crust 11,500 years ago, rocked the world and left humanity's collective psyche permanently scarred. We are a wounded species, and this unprocessed fear, passed from generation to generation, is responsible for our constant expectations of apocalypse, from Y2K to the famed end of the Mayan calendar in 2012. Catastrophobia reveals the insidious global forces that have used these collective fears to control humanity for thousands of years. But we are in the midst of a tremendous shift in the Earth's 26,000-year precessional cycle, and there is every indication that the changes in consciousness over the last 30 years are the beginnings of a collective healing from these deep fears, heralding a new age where we will see that the era of cataclysms is ending and a time of extraordinary creative activity is at hand.

It shows how the focus of Matthew shifts, from Jesus teaching about who he is to teaching mainly about what his church is.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This planet abounds in myths and legends prevalent in various cultures. More often than not, these are based on a kernel of truth. The facts get grossly exaggerated through the ages, much like a fishing tale! Pebbles on the Beach is a concise examination of many of these. There are adequate references given at the end of each chapter, in case the reader wishes to follow-up on these. Some of the stories examined are pertaining to the year 2012, the biblical end-of-times, as well as the story of Atlantis, the Ark of the Covenant, and an examination of the secrets of the Great Pyramid at Giza in Egypt, amongst others. This book also includes an investigation of the story of Moses, especially the identity of the Pharaoh responsible for the Exodus. This is a result of many years of patient study of such topics by the author and is presented for the first time in the form of one book for easy reading! One is reminded of the famous quote attributed to Sir Isaac Newton, wherein he said that “I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the sea-shore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me.”

Book excerpt: Professor Charles D. Cuttler changed from artist to art historian at New York University's Institute of Fine Arts, studying under distinguished teachers such as Walter Friedlaender and Erwin Panofsky. A specialist in Flemish painting, he spent the major part of his career teaching at the University of Iowa. He published numerous articles, reviews, and a well known text, Northern Painting. He lectured on Bosch on three continents, and his retirement enabled him to devote time to further research. A result is Hieronymus Bosch: Late Work. This new book presents Cuttler's discoveries on three late triptychs, a major trio of Bosch's maturity: the Haywain, the Lisbon Temptation of St. Anthony, and the Garden of Earthly Delights. He presents Bosch's unique view of Christ and salvation in union with hagiography, the Devotio moderna, and medieval hermeneutics, a revelation of Bosch's immense erudition and overwhelming artistry. Bosch reinforced his concepts with supporting casts of animals, natural and demonic, birds, and other iconographic elements. Analysis of the Berlin painting of St. John the Evangelist's apocalyptic vision of the Virgin Mary, the Madrid Seven Deadly Sins tondo, and the Vienna drawing of the Tree-Man expands our understanding of these themes. Other influences affecting Bosch's art, such as whether he travelled or whether he used contemporary prints, whether he drew upon Dante's Inferno, or religious tracts, and the attitudes of his ambience are also examined. The final chapter presents the author's understanding of Bosch, his religiosity and his genius, in his time and place.
