Jedes Kind sollte ein Recht auf korperliche und seelische Unversehrtheit und Entfaltung haben. Besonders in der letzten Zeit gab es offentliche Auseinandersetzungen uber sexuelle Ausbeutung von Kindern und Jugendlichen. Zu nennen ist dazu beispielsweise der Skandal der Odenwaldschule aus den letzten Jahren. Die Aufmerksamkeit der Gesellschaft hat sich auch auf die enorme Verbreitung elterlicher Misshandlung von Kindern gerichtet. Dieses Thema ist besonders in sozialen Bereichen sehr wichtig. Sexueller Missbrauch geschieht uberwiegend in der Familie, meist uber mehrere Jahre hinweg. Dabei sind die Opfer haufig weiblich und die Tater meist mannlich. Sexuelle Gewalt ist immer noch eine Angelegenheit, die in unserer Gesellschaft tabuisiert wird. Die Offentlichkeit reagiert in solchen Fallen meist mit Wut und Ratlosigkeit. Viele Menschen sind verunsichert und uberfordert im Umgang mit sexueller Gewalt. Aus diesem Grund mochte ich im Folgenden zunachst sexuelle Gewalt definieren und auf die Hintergrunde und Folgen sexuellen Missbrauchs an Kindern eingehen. Im Weiteren wird der Umgang mit dem missbrauchten Kind dargestellt.

Die vorliegende Ausarbeitung gibt vorab einen Überblick über das Thema des sexuellen Missbrauchs, indem zunächst eine Definition sowie die begriffliche Annäherung an die verschiedenen Formen des Missbrauchs erläutert werden. Ebenso werden mögliche Ursachenmodelle näher erläutert, um zu verdeutlichen, um welche Art von Vergehen es sich handelt. Das Ziel ist es, die Täter und Opfer, sofern dies möglich ist, näher zu beschreiben sowie die große Bandbreite der Auswirkungen und Folgen des Missbrauchs für die Betroffenen herauszustellen. Es soll aufgezeigt werden, was dieses Trauma für die Opfer bedeuten kann, auch wenn es sich jeweils um individuell unterschiedliche Auswirkungen und Schweregrade der Folgen handelt. Des Weiteren zielt diese Arbeit darauf ab, Möglichkeiten der Prävention und Intervention vor allem durch die öffentliche Kinder- und Jugendhilfe aufzuzeigen, welche dazu beitragen, dieses Verbrechen zu verhindern bzw. frühzeitig zu beenden, um die Folgen dieser schrecklichen Taten für die betroffenen Kinder zu minimieren.
