Book excerpt: Every pregnant woman has voices telling her what to expect, but not many of those voices are supportive when a woman desires to give birth at home.A woman's birth story, and her baby's birth story, are heavily influenced by the voices that surround her. These voices insist that the only thing that matters is a healthy baby, but the truth is that birth has far more to offer than the bare minimum.Childbirth can be an enlightened, powerful, joy and peace-filled experience, and the first step to getting there is receiving the knowledge and confidence to follow personal intuition.Bree Moore, birth keeper and mother to six, has compiled this expansive collection of season-themed unassisted birth stories to inspire and empower women navigating the realm of radical home birth.By reading these stories, the seeds of hope and vision for your pregnancy and birth will be planted and grow into a fruit that you can pick with joy and confidence.Birth is a unique sort of magic, and that magic can be found in abundance when women free themselves in birth.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The twelve constellations that infl uence the twelve calendar months are prophetic pictures planted by God in the heavens to tell the story of redemption. Triumphing at the Gate of the Stars in their Seasons is a prophetic guide on how to wage and win wars with the twelve constellations based on the Jewish and Gregorian calendars. It is an indispensible manual for setting agenda for individuals, institutions, and nations. This book will help us to correctly interpret what the stars associated with the twelve months are saying. The contemporary sons of Isaachar can now better understand the times and know what the nations ought to do. They can now, more specifically, appreciate what the heavens are preaching in the day and teaching in the night based on the revelation of Psalm 19:14; The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handiwork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun.

Book excerpt: The natural world is full of rhythms. How do birds know when to return to their nesting grounds? What effect do the seasons have on our wellbeing, and how does the season in which we are born affect our subsequent life chances? How did humans get the idea that there were seasons 50,000 years ago? Seasons of Life explains why the seasons occur, the impact of seasonal change and how organisms have evolved to anticipate these changes. For although we mask the effects of seasonal changes by warming our homes, lighting our nights, preserving foods and storing water, we cannot hide from them.

GATTAZ Between 1891 and 1955, three founders of modern psychiatry, Emil Kraepelin (1856-1926), Karl Jaspers (1883-1969) and Kurt Schneider (1887-1967) lectured at the University of Heidelberg: Kraepelin for 12 years, Jaspers for over 25 years and Schneider for approximately 10 years. During this period they laid the foundations of descriptive psychopathology and modern classification and con tributed essentially to the development of our current thinking on schizophrenia. In 1986, on the occasion of the 600th anniversary of the University of Heidel berg, we held a symposium in memory of these three "giants of psychiatry" for which we chose the title "Search for the Causes of Schizophrenia". It was jointly organized by the Central Institute of Mental Health in Mannheim and the Department of Psychiatry of the University of Heidelberg. The intention was to meet one of the major challenges of current psychiatric research, namely the fact that since Kraepelin's masterly description of "Dementia praecox" (1894) and E. Bleuler's slightly different definition of schizophrenia (1911), we have made only insufficient advances in clarifying the aetiology of this frequent and still often dis abling mental disease.
