Somehow she summoned enough faith to form an astonishing connection with her guardian angels, which became the only remedy for emotional trauma she experienced from early childhood into adulthood. Amanda's angels taught her that we are all worthy of an authentic, non-judgemental love. Now she devotes her life to helping others open their hearts and receive angelic assistance. Talking with Angels of Love will show you how to accept your circumstances, love the skin you are in and recognise the difference between healthy love and toxic love. Filled with practical exercises, meditations to channel your angels' love, pages to record their loving messages and touching real-life stories about the healing power of love, this book will soothe your soul and help you to trust the goodness in others again. Amanda believes that if you open your heart to the angels their love is everlasting, and you will never be lonely again.
Book Synopsis The Natural Desire to See God According to St. Thomas Aquinas and His Interpreters by : Lawrence Feingold
Download or read book The Natural Desire to See God According to St. Thomas Aquinas and His Interpreters written by Lawrence Feingold and published by Sapientia Press Ave Maria Univ. This book was released on 2010 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What kind of natural desire is this? How can there be a natural desire for what can only be supernaturally obtained? How can such a desire be reconciled with the gratuitousness of grace and glory? What are its implications for apologetics? These and similar questions have caused a debate to rage for centuries over the proper interpretation of the natural desire to see God. This work seeks to determine the nature of this desire and its relationship with the supernatural order through an examination of the thought of St. Thomas and some of his most prominent interpreters, including Scotus, Cajetan, Suárez, and Henri de Lubac.

Download or read book Finding Your Power to Be Happy: Seven Practices to Bring Unconditional Happiness into Your Life written by D.E. Hardesty and published by D.E. Hardesty. This book was released on 2015-04-25 with total page 332 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Learn to find the happiness that is natural to you, and enjoy better relationships, better health, more success and a longer life. The peculiar thing about us humans is, we spend a lot of time working to find people and things that will make us happy. In fact, we seem to spend the majority of our time doing this. However, there is no guarantee that any of this effort will work. There are lots of people who have hordes of people around them, and who have lots of things, but have been unable to make themselves happy. The truth is, happiness can be had with little effort. Have you ever been happy for no reason at all? Of course you have. Without anything changing in life, happiness just appears. We see it in young children all the time. In fact, we expect to see it in children. If you happen to ask a smiling child why he or she is so happy, at best the answer may be, “Because.” For an adult this may be an unsatisfying answer, but for the child it is the truth -- happiness exists “just because.” As we age we seem to lose touch with happiness-for-no-reason-at-all. We see a world where everyone is striving for stuff, striving for popularity, striving, striving, striving. The natural fount of happiness we once enjoyed disappears as we join them. However, that happiness is not gone. All that happened is we lost our connection to it. This book is about recovering that connection. We all grow up believing that if we work hard, and if we are good people, we will enjoy good relationships with others, good health, success and a long life. Obviously this is not true. There are a lot of rich old people who are not happy. What we have, what we do, and the other circumstances of our lives do not provide authentic happiness. Instead, happiness comes from inside of us, and all by itself enables us to have secure relationships, good health, more success and longer lives. So, what is the secret of being happy? Being happy is a little like flipping a switch. When it’s on you are happy and when it’s off you are not. It’s so easy. How else can you explain being happy for no reason. What you need to do is learn to turn it on, and keep it turned on. This book discusses seven practices that help you do that. There is a lot of wisdom available about how to be happy. Most of it is thousands of years old, but some is quite new. The seven practices we will look at incorporate this wisdom to help you learn how to turn on happiness in your life. This kind of happiness does not require changing anything in your life. All you have to do is learn to turn it on.

Book Synopsis Reality Therapy: Theory & Practice by : Leon Lojk
Download or read book Reality Therapy: Theory & Practice written by Leon Lojk and published by Alpha Book Publisher. This book was released on with total page 204 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Besides Scientific Argument of Reality Therapy, written by Leon Lojk, reality therapy has never actually been presented in a broader theoretical context. In addition to deepening understanding of total behaviour or understanding of the organism as an operationally closed, self-regulating system, understanding of personality, the relationship between the individual and their environment, understanding the concept of relationships in light of choice theory, the beliefs about human behaviour that underlie our actions and understanding mental health, Theory and the Practice of Reality Therapy by Leon and Boba Lojk presents reality therapy in relation to other psychotherapeutic approaches through some similarities and differences between them. Group reality therapy was presented in a similar way. With regard to the reality therapy theory of practice, so far, only structured (procedural) reality therapy has been available in the literature. Glasser called it the old reality therapy and advocated therapy using choice theory, which he called the new reality therapy. This is the authentic approach of the therapist, who himself lives in accordance with choice theory beliefs, which requires profound changes in the understanding of human behaviour. Until now, it has not been possible to find a description in the literature of how the process of new reality therapy flows, except for the author’s practical presentation of working with clients. These pages present for the first time the new reality therapy theory of practice through formulation, the relationship between therapist and client, and the theory of change in reality therapy. How reality therapy looks in practice is evident from practical examples of working with clients. The offered reading is certainly welcome to participants in reality therapy training and to reality therapists, practitioners and those who want to learn more about this approach.
