Book excerpt: "The Waiting Room" is the story of how one tragic event in life can not only change the course of that life, but teach us valuable lessons - some good, some bad. It's honest, and at times in-your-face, but most of all it shows that the light at the end of the tunnel is NOT always a train. In this book you will get an insight into the workings, and mishaps, of Workman's Comp, Long Term Disability, the insurance industry as well as the red tape of our justice system, all in layman's terms that anyone can understand. In the story that follows "The Waiting Room", "A Life Interrupted", Shari chronicles her life as a Caregiver, which started at a very early age. This journey involved many personal sacrafices on her part, which led her through a life of placing everyone else's well being ahead of her own. Together, these two stories give you a well rounded image of life and all of it's tragedies from two perspectives - the injured and sick, as well as the Caregiver.

Book Synopsis Winds in the Sail by : Robin Dinnanauth
Download or read book Winds in the Sail written by Robin Dinnanauth and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2019-08-20 with total page 216 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Who has seen the wind? Where does it come from and where does it go? In this book I have shared a few of the many references of winds in the Bible. 1.The South wind. In Bible land the South wind is perhaps the most pleasant of all winds, but it is also the most dangerous. 2.The North wind, what is your message? And the North wind answer, I am the wind of judgement, and the justice of God. When the prophets- Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel and others foretold the judgements coming upon Israel, they almost always came from the North, from Babylon and Assyria, the rod of God's anger. For example: Ezekiel 13:13. 3.The East wind. We ask, East wind, what is your message? And the East Wind replies, I am the wind of affliction and trial. I have found the east wind to be the most penetrating, the most uncomfortable of all the winds. 4.The West wind mentioned in a very strange place in the Bible, - Exodus 10. When Pharaoh refused to let the people of Israel go. we are told that God smote the land with 10 plagues.

Book Synopsis Robotic Sailing 2014 by : Fearghal Morgan
Download or read book Robotic Sailing 2014 written by Fearghal Morgan and published by Springer. This book was released on 2014-08-01 with total page 95 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An autonomous sailboat robot is a boat that only uses the wind on its sail as the propelling force, without remote control or human assistance to achieve its mission. Robotic sailing offers the potential of long range and long term autonomous wind propelled, solar or wave-powered carbon neutral devices. Robotic sailing devices could contribute to monitoring of environmental, ecological, meteorological, hydrographic and oceanographic data. These devices can also be used in traffic monitoring, border surveillance, security, assistance and rescue. The dependency on changing winds and sea conditions presents a considerable challenge for short and long term route and stability planning, collision avoidance and boat control. Building a robust and seaworthy sailing robot presents a truly complex and multi-disciplinary challenge for boat designers, naval architects, systems/electrical engineers and computer scientists. Over the last decade, several events such as Sailbot, World Robotic Sailing Championship and the International Robotic Sailing Conference (WRSC/IRSC) and Microtransat have sparked an explosion in the number of groups working on autonomous sailing robots. Many of the challenges in building truly autonomous sailing robots still remain unsolved. These proceedings present the work of researchers on current and future challenges in autonomous sailboat development, presented at the WRSC/IRSC 2014 in Galway, Ireland, 8th – 12th September 2014.
