One of our most popular books, THE CRIMINALS OF ISLAM unveils the true faces of the revered stalwarts " of Islam who emerged over the last 1400 years. So-called Imams ", Historians ", Ulema ", Sheikhs ", Sufis " and Maulanas " - all have made a mockery of Islam. They have converted the beautiful Message revealed to the exalted Prophet into the counterfeit, alien and deplorable manmade religion that we see today. It is a far cry from Ad-Deen, Islam, The Benevolent Social System of Life presented in the Qur'an. Shabbir Ahmed quotes extensively from the Ahadith literature, and enlightens the reader on how and why the once thriving Muslim world has deteriorated into its present state.

Book Synopsis Denying Existence by : A. Chakrabarti
Download or read book Denying Existence written by A. Chakrabarti and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-03-14 with total page 280 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book tries to explore, in language as non-technical as possible, the deepest philosophical problems regarding the logical status of empty (singular) terms such as `Pegasus', `Batman', `The impossible staircase departs in Escher's painting `Ascending-Descending'+ etc., and regarding sentences which deny the existence of singled-out fictional entities. It will be fascinating for literary theorists with a flair for logic, to students of metaphysics and philosophy of language, and for historians of philosophy interested in the fate of the Russell-Meinong debate. For teachers of these aspects of analytic philosophy this will provide a textbook which goes beyond the Western tradition (without plunging into any mystical Eastern `Emptiness', which is what some previous comparative philosophers did!).

Book Synopsis Madrasas in South Asia by : Jamal Malik
Download or read book Madrasas in South Asia written by Jamal Malik and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2007-11-27 with total page 239 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: After 9/11, madrasas have been linked to international terrorism. They are suspected to foster anti-western, traditionalist or even fundamentalist views and to train al-Qaeda fighters. This has led to misconceptions on madrasa-education in general and its role in South Asia in particular. Government policies to modernize and ‘pacify’ madrasas have been precipitous and mostly inadequate. This book discusses the educational system of madrasas in South Asia. It gives a contextual account of different facets of madrasa education from historical, anthropological, theological, political and religious studies perspectives. Some contributions offer recommendations on possible – and necessary – reforms of religious educational institutions. It also explores the roots of militancy and sectarianism in Pakistan, as well as its global context. Overall, the book tries to correct misperceptions on the role of madrasas, by providing a more balanced discussion, which denies neither the shortcomings of religious educational institutions in South Asia nor their important contributions to mass education.
