Book excerpt: As a key part and parcel of sustainable development of ASEAN-China relations, cooperation in non-traditional security issues has become a new growth area for both sides. This book is divided into three parts. The first part takes stock of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) in 30 years of ASEAN-China public health cooperation, covering topics such as digital health and personnel training cooperation, global vaccine distribution and PPP in public health in Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam. The second part explores how to reconnect ASEAN and China, which includes sharing the experiences of member states on vaccine multilateralism and offering proposals for practicable and safer regional standards to institute green lanes, travel bubbles and COVID-19 travel passports to strengthen the regional economy, especially in mass tourism. The third part introduces ASEAN-China cooperation on Nature based solutions (NBS) to environmental issues, including Southeast Asia's vulnerability to climate change and its Low Carbon Pathway, and NBS for climate change adaptation in Vietnam's Mekong Delta.
Book Synopsis Complete Guide to 3D Plots in R by : Alboukadel KASSAMBARA
Download or read book Complete Guide to 3D Plots in R written by Alboukadel KASSAMBARA and published by Alboukadel KASSAMBARA. This book was released on with total page 113 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book provides a complete guide for visualizing a data in 3 dimensions (3D) using R software. It contains 2 main parts and 7 chapters describing how to draw static and interactive 3D plots. - The chapter 1 is about data preparation for 3D plot - In chapter 2, we describe how to create easily basic static 3D scatter plots. We provide R codes for changing: 1) main and axis titles; 2) the appearance of the plot (point colors, labels and shapes, legend position, ...) - Chapter 3 presents how to create advanced static 3D plots including 3D scatter plots with confidence interval, 3D line plots, 3D texts, 3D barplots, 3D histograms and 3D arrows. - Chapter 4 describes the required package for drawing interactive 3D plots. - In chapter 5, we show how to transform easily an existing static 3D plot into aninteractive 3D plot. - Chapter 6 provides many examples of R codes for creating interactive 3D scatter plotswith 3D regression surfaces and concentration ellipsoids. We describe also how to exportthese graphs as png or pdf files. - Chapter 7 presents a complete guide to RGL 3D visualization device system. We provide also R codes for creating a movie from RGL 3D scene and for exporting plot into an interactive HTML web file. Each chapter is organized as an independent quick start guide. This means that, you don’tneed to read the different chapters in sequence.

Book Synopsis Morphometrics with R by : Julien Claude
Download or read book Morphometrics with R written by Julien Claude and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2008-12-15 with total page 317 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book aims to explain how to use R to perform morphometrics. Morpho- tric analysis is the study of shape and size variations and covariations and their covariations with other variables. Morphometrics is thus deeply rooted within stat- tical sciences. While most applications concern biology, morphometrics is becoming common tools used in archeological, palaeontological, geographical, or medicine disciplines. Since the recent formalizations of some of the ideas of predecessors, such as D’arcy Thompson, and thanks to the development of computer techno- gies and new ways for appraising shape changes and variation, morphometrics have undergone, and are still undergoing, a revolution. Most techniques dealing with s- tistical shape analysis have been developed in the last three decades, and the number of publications using morphometrics is increasing rapidly. However, the majority of these methods cannot be implemented in available software and therefore prosp- tive students often need to acquire detailed knowledge in informatics and statistics before applying them to their data. With acceleration in the accumulation of me- ods accompanying the emerging science of statistical shape analysis, it is becoming important to use tools that allow some autonomy. R easily helps ful?ll this need. Risalanguage andenvironment forstatisticalcomputingandgraphics. Although there is an increasing number of computer applications that perform morphometrics, using R has several advantages that confer to users considerable power and possible new horizons in a world that requires rapid adaptability.
