Book excerpt: Poco a poco, el modelado de información de construcción se ha convertido en una importante herramienta y una gran ventaja a la hora de llevar a cabo un proyecto. Esta herramienta permite no solo reducir gastos, costos y tiempos de obra, sino aumentar la productividad y las utilidades de los proyectos. Sin embargo, se cree que, si se complementa este tipo de modelado con inteligencia artificial, los beneficios serán mucho mayores y las aplicaciones más extendidas. En el presente trabajo se pretende llevar a cabo una revisión bibliográfica que ayudará a identificar qué tan beneficioso sería relacionar la inteligencia artificial con el modelado de información de construcción (BIM). En primer lugar, se han clasificado los beneficios o beneficiados con esta herramienta de la siguiente manera: ambiente, diseño, seguridad en el trabajo, gerencia de la obra y jefes de esta. Luego se procedió a clasificar los artículos hallados según su beneficio, y posteriormente analizar si el uso de inteligencia artificial puede influir o no positivamente en el modelado de información de construcción para cada punto específico. Los resultados servirán de guía para aquel que desee aprovechar la inteligencia artificial con el fin de aumentar la productividad y disminuir los costos de una obra.
