Book excerpt: Excerpt from Biennial Report of the State Treasurer to the Thirty-Second Legislative Assembly, Regular Session, 1923: For the Period Beginning October 1, 1920, and Ending September 30, 1922 The statements and tables in this report relate in_ detail the various transactions and business of this department, including the receipts and disbursements; the balances remaining in the several funds; the amount of taxes received and due from the counties of the state; itemized state ments of State Highway and Irrigation District Interest funds; itemized list of bond and certificate investments made by this office on account of the Segregated, Industrial Accident, Catastrophe and Rehabilitation Funds; list of securities deposited with the State Treasurer by title in surance, surety and express companies. In addition to the foregoing, other matters pertaining to the state finances and the operation of the State Treasury Department are presented herewith. I also submit for your consideration certain suggestions relative to amendment of existing laws, which I believe would protect and conserve the financial interest of the state. Following the custom. Established by my predecessors and that you may have a comprehensive idea of the rapid growth of the business trans acted by this office during the past two years, I have prepared for your consideration certain comparative statements and tables.
