Its publication has been de layed to the present time, so that it might contain as nearly all of my life and labors as possible. I am now within a few weeks of seventy-nine years of age. I have been preaching the gospel fifty-nine years. And it is not likely that I will be able to perform much more public ministerial work. The incidents related in the book are mostly those that have fallen under my own observation. I trust they will be interesting and profitable to all who may read them.
