Download or read book Reliability Study of Vapor Recovery Systems at Service Stations written by R. J. Bryan and published by . This book was released on 1976 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A study was conducted of the operational reliability of vapor recovery systems at gasoline service stations in San DIego County, California. Periodic inspections at 24 stations were conducted to examine the condition of these systems, to determine their operational status, and to check for detectable gasoline vapor losses from control equipment. The study demonstrated that capture of vapors at the vehicle was more effective with vacuum-assisted systems than with vapor balance systems. However, the reliability of the vaccum-assisted systems was not good in general although there was substantial variation depending upon the type of unit.

This book was released on 2011-11-16 with total page 315 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book explains the decision-making processes for the management of instrumented protective systems (IPS) throughout a project's life cycle. It uses the new IEC 61511 standard as a basis for the work processes used to achieve safe and reliable process operation. By walking the reader through a project's life cycle, engineering, maintenance, and operations, the information allows users to easily focus on their responsibilities and duties. Using this approach, the book is useful as a primer, guidelines reference, and resource manual. Examples provide the added "real-world" experience applications.
Book Synopsis Hydrocarbon Control Strategies for Gasoline Marketing Operations by : R. L. Norton
Download or read book Hydrocarbon Control Strategies for Gasoline Marketing Operations written by R. L. Norton and published by . This book was released on 1977 with total page 140 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This informational document provides basic and current descriptions of gasoline marketing operations and methods that are available to control hydrocarbon emissions from these operations. The three types of facilities that are described are terminals, bulk plants, and service stations. Operational and business trends are also discussed. Emissions from typical facilities, including transport trucks, are estimated. The operations which lead to emissions from these facilities include (1) gasoline storage, (2) gasoline loading at terminal and bulk plants, (3) gasoline delivery to bulk plants and service stations, and (4) the refueling of vehicles at service stations. Available and possible methods for controlling emissions are described with their estimated control efficiencies and costs. The costs for control of a unit weight of hydrocarbon are calculated from these estimates. This report also includes a bibliograpy of references cited in the text, and supplementary sources of information.
