Book excerpt: Rekindle Me is a novel set far in the future, in a world where holovisions, augreals, artificial intelligence, self-driven cars, interplanetary travel and interstellar communication, and other notable technological developments are all part of a normal day. The protagonist, Tommy Russell, experiences a near-constant state of anxiety as his devoutly Christian beliefs are challenged by a society with declining morals, excess materialism, and an unchecked reliance on technology that, in Tommys eyes, belies a complete lack of the ability for mankind to love. While Tommy struggles to find the answer to a key question from his inquisitive young daughter, an ambitious and secretive government program called The Mantle Project is announced, aiming to flip the planets mantle upside down to harvest essential resources like oil and minerals. Despite the risk of failure of the project, the antagonist, Dr. Jonathan Bailey, still forges ahead with the execution of the project. With only a month to its full implementation, massive earthquakes begin to fracture the planet, killing billions and nearly cleaving it into two pieces precariously close to breaking completely apart. With the Earths mantle shattering, gravity growing weaker, and millions evacuating to Yahire, an angel planet in the solar system, Tommy realizes he is in a race against time to save humanity and to fulfill his promise to God. Tommy decides to look for a hermit who can provide him with answers to some vital questions and, most importantly, intercede with God on behalf of humanity, and he is helped along the way by a repentant and remorseful Dr. Jonathan Bailey, who is equally making a last-ditch effort to save the planet. Will Tommy find the hermit, and can he save planet Earth from imminent destruction? Please read on!

Book excerpt: Mallory Smyth has been where many young Catholics are today. But the difference between her and other fallen-away Catholics is that she figured out that when she overlooked the shortcomings of the Church as an institution, she fell in love with Jesus and rediscovered the beauty and truth of her faith. In Rekindled, Smyth's raw, relatable account of her own disillusionment and departure is sure to resonate with anyone who has struggled to feel at home in the Church. For anyone who has left the faith or has one foot out the door, this powerful book just might illuminate a path back home--to a Church that is both holy and in need of perfection. Shallow homilies. Hypocritical authority figures. Trite answers to pressing questions. These and other shortcomings of the Church have led plenty of Catholics to question their faith--or to abandon it entirely. Rekindled is for those who have left the Church and those with one foot out the door. Smyth's account of her own disillusionment and departure is relatable and honest. She understands and validates the pain and doubt that many Catholics and former Catholics feel. Smyth also provides you with practical guidance for keeping your faith even when what you encounter in the Church falls short: How to recognize Christ's presence even in the most mediocre Mass experiences. Strategies for finding faithful role models when authority figures let you down. Where to turn when the answers and pastoral guidance you receive don't reach the heart of the issue. How to find fulfillment in Christ and in the community of the saints even when joy seems to be in short supply in the Church.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: These writings portray my most precious and intimate talks with God. It was just before mother passed when she reached out to me in an attempt to help her regain that closeness with God that she knew so well before she became ill. I wrote mother the poem entitled Teach Me How To Love You. That was the first time mother ever realized my gift and as she read this poem, she wept with tears of joy and thankfulness and made me promise her that I would write more and have them published. Knowing the end was near for Mom, I sat by her hospital bedside as she slept and I wrote Le Femini Sacre which means Sacred Mother. She was not in her right mind as cancer had taken over, but I read it to her and told her I loved her as I held her hand in mine. Mother passed shortly afterward. I only pray that the words of my poetry reach out and touch the lives of you the reader and inspire you to know the beauty and holiness and completeness of receiving the Lord as your personal Savior. There is nothing more fulfilling than to spend time with your Creator in intimate worship. For "Secret, Sacred, and Intimate worship is God's favorite fragrance. It is asprecious and priceless as the hidden orchid that the Everglades seclude."

Book excerpt: Enjoy this sweet sports romance series by bestselling author S.B. Alexander... QUINN THOMPSON When I walk into a room, the popular kids whisper about me. I don’t own designer clothes or name-brand shoes. I don’t wear low-cut shirts or tons of makeup either. I’m as plain Jane as a girl can get. I live on a farm, where the uniform of the day is boots, jeans, and a T-shirt unless it’s winter; then I trade my T-shirts for heavy sweaters and a parka. Baggy is my style. But I’m considered one of the nerds in school for reasons besides my wardrobe. I have my nose in books while the popular girls have their noses up jocks’ butts. I do everything I can to avoid the in crowd at Kensington High—until a new boy waltzes in. He’s tall like my brothers, handsome like Zach Efron, and disrupts my belief that boys only want one thing. My only problem is he’ll never notice me, not if my arch-nemesis has any say. MAIKEN MAXWELL Basketball has been my life until my dad died. I’m trying not to get depressed, but it’s hard to breathe sometimes. He’ll never cheer from the stands at any of my basketball games or shout at me to shoot that three-pointer. I promised him I would step up if anything happened to him, and now it’s time to be the man of the house. Only I’m torn between playing for the Kensington High basketball team and finding a job—until the girl with butterscotch hair snags my attention. She’s pretty, quirky, and her presence takes my mind off my troubles. Above all else, she makes me feel things that I’ve never felt before. In my mind, girls are just a distraction. They’re nice to look at, they talk too much, and they’re extremely pushy. Yet Quinn Thompson might change my opinion that all girls are created equal. My Heart to Touch is the first novel in the Maxwell Family Saga series. All books in the series should be read in order for a better reading experience. A sweet and clean wholesome romance with all the feels, hunky basketball star, high school drama, and a coming of age love story. Books in this series: 1. My Heart to Touch 2. My Heart to Hold 3. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a tribute to the rivalry the New York Rangers had with the Boston Bruins during the decade that Emile Francis ran the club. Growing up, these two teams are what defined hockey for me and the team was not simply a city or a sweater or a jersey, it was the players. As Mr. Francis himself told me, "Every time we played it was a war. That was the greatest rivalry I've ever seen." I wrote this book for the fans of both teams, hoping that it would bring back some great memories from a time when the game was a lot different than it is today.
