Book excerpt: During Nevada's 2019 legislative session, it was decided to increase the number of hours of pre-licensing education to qualify for a Nevada real estate license. The passed bill increased the hours from 90 to 120 for an increase of 30 hours. Of the 30 hours, 15 hours were designated to be agency-related content which must include 3 hours in the foundation of the relationship between a broker and an agent; and 3 hours in risk reduction, including, property management, leasing, and information security. The other 15 hours must address the preparation of contracts in real estate transactions to the extent allowed in the capacity of a licensee. This course and textbook have been approved by the Nevada Real Estate Division to satisfy the new requirements.
