This book was released on 1998-08-08 with total page 466 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume constitutes the proceedings of the first conference on the specific subject of radiative corrections (quantum effects) to physical processes within the framework of the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM). While there have been many conferences covering general aspects of supersymmetry, this one brought together leading experts on phenomenological aspects of SUSY and focused on the search for indirect effects of supersymmetric particles. Participants discussed the status and perspectives of the MSSM from the viewpoint of present and future high precision experiments at LEP, Tevatron, LHC and at a future NLC.

Book Synopsis The Higgs Boson Produced With Top Quarks in Fully Hadronic Signatures by : Daniel Salerno
Download or read book The Higgs Boson Produced With Top Quarks in Fully Hadronic Signatures written by Daniel Salerno and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2019-10-25 with total page 207 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The work presented in this PhD dissertation is the first search at CMS for Higgs bosons produced in association with top quarks (ttH) in a final state consisting of only jets. The results presented in this book uncover a new class of ttH events that will help us elucidate our understanding of the Yukawa sector interactions between the Higgs boson and the top quark. Despite this being the most common decay signature for ttH, a large contamination of SM backgrounds makes it the most challenging for extracting a signal from data. The PhD thesis presents many sophisticated tools and techniques that were developed in order to overcome these challenges. These tools pave the way for future analyses to investigate other standard model and beyond-standard model physics.

Book Synopsis Recent Advances In The Superworld - Proceedings Of The International Workshop by : J L Lopez
Download or read book Recent Advances In The Superworld - Proceedings Of The International Workshop written by J L Lopez and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 1994-03-29 with total page 402 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The realization that precision LEP data lend support to the idea of supersymmetric grand unification and supersymmetry in general, led to the organization of the First HARC International Workshop on Recent Advances in the SuperWorld. The idea was to have a workshop that discussed all aspects of the supersymmetric world — the SuperWorld as it should be properly known. These aspects are so diverse that they are usually studied by high energy physicists with vastly different interests. The selection of speakers included the whole spectrum in 'energy', from experimental physicists, to specialists in low energy phenomenology, supersymmetric grand unification, supergravity, superstrings and supercosmology.
