Reason and Beyond challenges the readers to take a fresh look at how they live and what they think they know so they may begin to free themselves from the shackles of the past and meet life more fully in the present just as it is. It offers a blend of poetry and prose essays covering a broad range of themes penetrating deeply to the how and why of what we think while offering an uplifting perspective that can help restore a sense of life's meaning and purpose in an age that seems to have forgotten both. Spiritual life and its perspective, critical commentary on modern civilization, philosophical and psychological inquiry into reason, knowledge, thinking, belief, the nature of mind, the examination of love and fear and their critical role in human life, and the universal meaning and purpose of life itself. Each theme reappears again and again throughout the book and many questions are posed to the reader around the various themes.

Dr Samet's approach to full wellness starts with the emotional terrain we all find ourselves in; patterns of old thinking that do not serve us currently and that also threaten to interfere with living our best and brightest lives. Emotional Repatterning is courageous as it tackles the obstacles to being fully alive and present in our lives. It provides a step-by-step approach to anyone who is looking to heal at a deeper level, beyond where supplements, eating well and exercising can touch. This book provides a valuable solution that every person could benefit from; change your beliefs and your biology will follow. An easy and enticing read that I could not put down.' Dr. Mary Shackelton, MPH, ND We have access to many tools to help us deal with the rising tide of anxiety and depression: psychotherapy, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), medication, meditation, positive affirmations. These methodologies are increasingly popular and have been able to bring some relief to many. But in terms of permanent, deep change, these options are sorely limited because they work solely with the conscious mind rather than with the underlying subconscious beliefs that drive our behavior. Recent research on the brain has revealed that we are only aware of 5% of our brain activity, while the other 95% is subconscious. So, unless we work with both our conscious mind as well as our subconscious mind, we may find some decrease in our pain, but we will continue to struggle. Emotional Repatterning: Healing Emotional Pain by Rewiring the Brain provides insights, stories and examples from Lisa Samet's life and the lives of her patients, as well as practical tools to uncover the subconscious beliefs that are holding us back. It deepens the reader's understanding of their own mind – the patterns of thinking and deep-seated beliefs that keep them feeling stuck and unhappy – and teaches skills to change both their thinking at the conscious level and their beliefs at the subconscious level.

Book excerpt: 'WOW, what a great book. As a person who has been in the world of recovery for 30+ years, it goes straight to the heart of the “missing piece” for most alcoholics and addicts.' Dr Robb Kelly, The Addiction Doctor Despite centuries of analyses and debates between scientists and philosophers, consciousness remains puzzling and controversial. It is the most familiar yet mysterious aspect of our lives. There might be different levels of consciousness, or different kinds of consciousness, or just one kind with different features. Modern research into the human brain is yet to provide conclusive answers, and we don't know if animals, insects or plants are conscious, or even the universe itself. The contrasting range of research suggests that a new approach might be needed \-\- one that includes both an objective scientific view and a subjective philosophical and spiritual view \-\- in order to unlock the mystery. All Is One investigates how consciousness fits into a larger picture of the universe by exploring what science, philosophy, religion, and spirituality have to say on the matter, and offers a conclusive definition of consciousness that might satisfy both the scientifically oriented and spiritually oriented reader.

Book excerpt: The true nature of consciousness is an issue of primary importance today. A great many deceptions exist today that create conflicts among humans and with nature itself. In the modern world, a real possibility exists that such a conflict could threaten the existence of humankind. It is logical to assume that every conflict is based on fundamental misunderstanding or lack of awareness of the true nature of existence. This is predicated on the notion that the consciousness and existence are the same thing. All misinterpretations and conflicts are rooted in differentiating consciousness from existence, i.e. separating what goes on in our head from what goes on in the outer world and dividing our thoughts from our words and deeds. This aim of this book is to confirm the nature of external existence as an indivisible part of our consciousness and essence. A logical framework of such a depiction of reality rests on the assumption that the consciousness which is in our mind is an integrated part of the same consciousness that creates the overall existence. Unlike what is thought traditionally, there is no multitude of consciousnesses; the consciousness is only one and the same in everything, it merely divides and utilizes itself in all of the aspects of existence. Consciousness and existence are one and the same, and together they comprise our essence, or the soul. The true nature of consciousness and existence cannot be separated from the true nature of our essence or the soul. In other words, we cannot live in the world in one way, be aware in another, and relate to our essence in some completely different way. The consciousness of our soul is inseparable from the world we live in. Our existence remains inauthentic, painful, and heartless, insofar as we keep ourselves apart from the consciousness of our soul; from consciousness itself; and from existence, as such. However, a simple statement that the consciousness and existence are the same is not enough. To make their unity crystal clear, the functioning of the consciousness is presented here in detail in different dimensions of nature and through various forms, from the quantum field, minerals, plants, and animals to human beings and the development of culture, the issue of artificial intelligence, ethics, and, ultimately, the discipline of self-knowledge. The unity of the divine consciousness that creates everything with our thoughts and actions is demonstrated and proved quite practically here. This is the only way in which a book that aspires to explain the world may have practial value.

Louise talks about her personal experience of grief, in all its facets, and in a way that will resonate with readers who are bereaved. She also details, in careful and precise language, the succession of signs that she received, apparently from her husband after his death. She describes how to start with she was very sceptical and looked for all sorts of other explanations, but eventually, she came to accept that the signs, including WhatsApps and dematerialisations, must have come from her husband's spirit in the afterlife. She explains how these signs have completely changed her understanding of life and death. This book should bring comfort to the bereaved, and will encourage those left behind to recognise signs that are sent to them by their loved ones.

The Journey Across Forever is a powerful collection of writings detailing the author's metaphysical insights and paranormal experiences over the decades as he traveled the world in a quest for truth and enlightenment. Topics under discussion include the profound mysteries of consciousness, precognition, karma, reincarnation, the “Phenomenon” (UAPs), the Dreamtime of the Aborigines, Hermeticism, alchemy and the ‘secret knowledge', shamanism, psychotropics and the three forms of magic. Saalman reveals what the physicist, the mystic and all seekers of truth have in common and explains why climate change, the power of social media, the threat of “apocalyptic” politics and the nefarious appeal of the dark web are a spiritual challenge for each of us. Above all, The Journey Across Forever deeply explores why it is crucial that we heed the words, here and now, of those who have had a near-death experience if we genuinely believe in the reality of spiritual immortality and wish to make our way to higher dimensions upon our own exit from this planet. In the meantime, the author argues, a Brave New Aquarian Age of promise is ours for the making if we really want it and are prepared to do what it takes to secure it.

From happier, healthier, and more spiritually evolved nomadic ancestors to a selfish globalized world that exploits, divides, and petrifies today, We-Topia explores how a powerless society has always been part of the plan. And it's worked. Across the millennia, society gradually devalued human consciousness while social systems such as slavery, money, and religion turned people into resources. Now, like a James Bond villain, this purposeful manipulation mesmerizes us to be consumers and tells us that higher spiritual evolution is a delusion. How did this happen? How do we change? What is life's purpose and meaning? We-Topia answers these questions with some good news - there's a way out of this mess and there always has been. As our ancestors knew, liberty from ego is possible when society values real human needs, and We-Topia provides the concepts for you to begin. It is a spiritual odyssey from me to we - the ultimate inside-out rebellion against 13,000 years of conditioning.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Predicated on the immemorial core or "first" principles of the universal perennial philosophy, which finds expression from Lao Tzu to Ramana Maharshi in the East and from Pythagoras to René Guénon and Ananda K. Coomaraswamy in the West, The Higher Spiritual Path details how those on the higher spiritual path must address and master its requirements. This book is as practical as it is philosophical -- or theosophical -- since it is based on the specifics of “sacred science,” or spiritual science, an inextricable component of the perennial philosophy. Many of the requirements of the higher spiritual path are based on the truths of this ancient spiritual science, formulated over millennia by jivanmukti, or liberated beings, who serve as the teachers of those currently engaged in treading this hieratic path. The goals of ascending this path are the loftiest; the hierarchical order of its spiritual teachers is the holiest; and the totality of its evolutionary and compassionate purpose is the most sacred.

The Possibility Exists … is a practical and sometimes humorous look at how his concept of self was broken open, and how he learned profound spiritual and philosophical concepts from unlikely sources. Eoin says, “The Possibility Exists … that you’ll enjoy the searing honesty of my writing, sprinkled with Irish humour, deep wisdom, fun and foolishness. But then again, The Possibility Exists … that you’ll throw your hands up in the air and proclaim that this is the most boring book you’ve ever read!” As you can tell, Eoin avoids taking it all too seriously, because, he says, “Self-help can become obsessive and actually be a hindrance to your enjoyment of life.”

[Taylor] makes a compelling case that the scientific worldview--one that sees humans as “meat machines”--is inconsistent with people's experiences of themselves and is not nearly as rationally superior as it is so often presented. This alone makes the author's compact consideration a worthwhile read. A philosophically astute challenge to the rational supremacy of science over its spiritual rivals. Kirkus Reviews

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book is about a spiritual awakening, what that means and looks like from the human perspective. It explores the highs, the lows, the commonalities, the phases and the stages and ways in which the reader can support themselves. It is real, raw, authentic, at times funny, certainly inspiring and full of hope. Ann-Marie takes the reader's hand and walks them step-by-step through the stages of their own healing journey and offers ways that can inspire them, with practical suggestions and practices such as prayer, meditation, self-enquiry, self-care, self-expression, forgiveness and inner-child healing. At the heart of the book is a flushing out of the reader's relationship, or lack of relationship, with God. Ann-Marie reveals how she went from a complete non-believer and came to eventually work for the big guy upstairs, being guided to become a multi-faith minister. She endeavours to de-funk the ego's construct of God and inspire the reader to wake up to the love, peace, guidance and joy that is waiting for them through their connection with the God of their own understanding.
