This book was released on 2023-07 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is an open access book. The global economy is by definition the movement of resources (goods, services and capital) across national borders. The more open relations between countries will affect changes in the regional and global regions, this condition is characterized by the level of domestic economic resilience. Currently, technology with its dynamics requires every country to move to follow, citing at the G20 the role of multilateral trading system to strengthen the achievement SDGs, digital trade sustainable, global value chains (GVCs) and sustainable and inclusive industrialization via industry 4.0. Based on the statement above, it shows that modernization and sustainable 4.0 equivalent industrialization are the demands of multi-sectors including the agricultural sector. For Indonesia, agriculture plays a strategic role in the national economy, with the challenges of sustainable agriculture, the role of agriculture is shown in addition to being a provider of food, industrial raw materials, feed and bioenergy, a source of labor absorption, a source of state foreign exchange as well as environmental preservation with an environmentally friendly farming program approach. Sustainable agriculture practices are ideal, but the dimensions of the scope of sustainable agriculture interests and the substance of their meaning are definitely different. Through the international agricultural seminar or The 3rd International Conference Agriculture (ICA) with the theme Modernization And Industrialization To Support Sustainable Agriculture Facing Global Economy which will be held on September 21, 2022 is one of the efforts in equalizing understanding and collecting sustainable farming innovations that are in line with the sustainable development goals and have become the country's commitment in order to implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the face of the global economy.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In 2020, a Special Issue titled "Sustainable Rural Development: Strategies, Good Practices and Opportunities" was launched, in which 16 papers were published. The aim of this monograph was to study a problem that is occurring on a global scale and, above all, in the most developed countries, which is the population emigration from rural areas to urban areas due to the labour and service opportunities offered by the latter. This is causing a demographic deterioration of rural areas, and those that remain show high rates of ageing, masculinisation, or low demographic growth. In addition, and interrelated with this demographic deterioration, there is economic and environmental degradation. Rural areas are territories with increasingly lower purchasing power, job opportunities, and services for the population, which are classified as "spaces in crisis". The papers in this Special Issue evidence the many public and private strategies that are being pursued to achieve sustainable rural development in declining areas. The diversity of approaches offer a vision of the practical application and the obstacles or difficulties that many of them are having to achieve their objectives. All of these strategies are intended to achieve economic dynamism that is respectful of the environment and from there to be able to reduce the regressive demographic processes in rural areas. These are different approaches that allow us to contribute, from scientific, holistic, and multidisciplinary knowledge, and they can help decision making in public policy and planning strategies.

In the current world scenario, where nations all over the world are struggling to accomplish the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and to ensure sustainable patterns for all, this book provides a contribution towards a more comprehensive and interdisciplinary understanding of the cross-cutting issues related to Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security. This interdisciplinary book supports the efforts to engage a commitment from all fields of science, to work together to provide knowledge that could help to address SDG2 (No hunger) and lead to the promotion of quality of life, by means of a more sustainable food production, and improved food security. This book is expected to fill the gap of publications in this field. It gives a special emphasis to a state-of-the-art descriptions of approaches, methods, initiatives and projects from universities, stakeholders, organizations and civil society across the world, regarding cross-cutting issues in sustainable food production. It includes examples of policies and practices case studies, examples of projects, institutional policies, innovative methods and tools and research outputs, which highlight the interdependence between sustainable agriculture and food security issues. It is expected that the “Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security” will make the many benefits of sustainable food production clearer and, inter alia, lead to an increase in the emphasis provided to this central theme.
