Although I am not a psychology major, I realized my request for poems about Cats & Dogs became a healing tool for those still grieving the loss of a pet. If writing a poem can heal someone's sorrow, so be it. I am all for that. As you read many of these poems, you will come to see, without the kindness of the many people who adopted strays or otherwise unwanted cats & dogs from one of the thousands of local animal rescue organizations, the eventual outcome for these animals would not have been pleasant.
