Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It started with a prayer and was answered at the crooked tree. It is a journey of approximately eight years, as the Holy Spirit placed this poetry in the heart of a man who prayed a simple prayer and asked, "Why is life so hard?" These poems show us God's love, provision and his promises for all mankind. They speak about issues we all face in life and there are many scripture references which proclaim God's thoughts and purpose for every one. Craig Kiehl was raised in Oxford CT. and has been a machinist for thirty-five years. He is married, with three children and twin granddaughters. He moved his family to Gordonsville, TN in 1999 and in the year of 2000 started writing poetry. He is a Graduate of Gateway of Hope Bible Leadership and Ministry School. A member of Love's Way Community Church, a volunteer worker and counselor at Joseph's Storehouse Food Ministry, both located in Lebanon, TN.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Thoughts of the Heart, is a collection of snapshots from my personal moments. It was written to encourage every reader to have a good journey in spite of the difficult days you face! It is an easy read and it offers practical points for dealing with everyday life. The reflections are of poems, prayers, passions, keepsakes, and short stories. It provides a variety of feelings expressed in a slightly poetic way. It has an uncommon twist for reasoning with hidden thoughts. It reveals them! Wait, I know there are some things that we must keep to ourselves, and believe me I will! We all know that many thoughts are better off left unsaid. And we should constantly pray down the evil ones. Nevertheless, these thoughts are out! And as you read; you witness my love, my inspiration, my fears, my tears, my hopes, my dreams, and my desire to be open with you. In fact, I gift you with my found treasure. In a nutshell, this book reveals me in a uniquely different and real way! I hope you will find comfort, embrace love, and become moved to action as much as I was compelled to write. Ultimately, I pray you will be inspired to believe that all things are possible through Jesus Christ, think outside of the box of limits, and become motivated to share the amazing gift that God has given you! I encourage you to share your one of a kind self, the self that you were created to share, “Straight from the heart!” We can’t do anything about the past, and we don’t know what the future holds, but we can decide to make the most of the precious moments that we have left! And as you journey on to the end; show the love, make a difference, and highlight your lessons learned then pass them on! In the meantime remember to be simply you, and to find positive and creative ways to express the desires of your heart! Because keeping sentiments, emotions, and love pinned up inside aches the heart, despairs the mind, and keeps you from experiencing your many possibilities! I trust that my perspective will somehow connect with your innermost thoughts and aspirations in one way or another. I hope to spark a positive reaction within you that is unforgettable! So fasten your seat belt and get ready to travel with me through some of my “Memorable Moments,” one page at a time. Please know I wish you well! And whenever you need Christ, He will always be there for you! I promise!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Prayers are so often just "wish and want' lists, without any sense that anyone is even listening to us. But when we make the effort to listen to others, we can learn some surprising things, and this is true in our relationship to God, as well. In thirty-some years of regular church attendance I should have known of God's love. But knowing of something, and actually experiencing it, are two very different things. I learned much, and was comforted much, and even changed much, by the pouring out of my heart and God's outpouring of love in return. I offer here the blessings with which I have been blessed. All praise and thanks to God!

Book excerpt: Poetry is a lot like prayer. Prayer is a lot like poetry. Why? Because they both arise from deep attentiveness to life. Reading this book is a uniquely beautiful experience that affirms Melannie's deep attention, not only to life, but to God's place within it. She invites readers to see everything as if for the first time: a rose, a grain of sand, a baby's laugh, a particular hurt, an interior joy or dread. Her prayer poems have the uncanny ability to put readers in the presence of the universal and eternal, thus connecting them with God, others, with nature, and the entire world. All the poems in these pages are invitations to prayer. They are simple, varied in form, and diverse in content and theme--and prayerful. Each is followed by a brief commentary about how the poem came to be; reflection questions for personal pondering and group sharing; suggested Scripture passages that relate to the poem; and an activitity or two for prayer and play.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In life, one finds obstacles and barriers that hinder the progression of happiness. Occasionally these obstacles cause us to fall or become distracted. Perhaps it was a lost love, or the peacefulness of nature that prompted you to turn to God in prayer. One thing is clear . . . Jesus is always on your side. Through faith we make decisions that have direct bearings on the courses we choose. Within the book “Sincerely from My Heart, Poems for Contemplation” the author reflected upon many examples of how God has used spiritual influence to guide his own life. “Sincerely from My Heart, Poems for Contemplation” is a book that was written over a span of many years. Its author, Walter A. Wheat, has felt the emotions described in this book. Once a soldier, the author has experienced the effects of both life and death in war. As a father, Walter has looked back and evaluated the mistakes and tribulations he has made during parenthood. As a husband, Walter has known potential loss. In reading “Sincerely from My Heart, Poems for Contemplation,” the author hopes the reader will identify with the verbal icons and connotations of a theme that is based upon love and understanding. The emotions tapped in “Sincerely from My Heart, Poems for Contemplation,” are absolutely real. Perhaps, as you read “Sincerely from My Heart, Poems for Contemplation,” some small memory may come back to you. With this memory, you too will have assurance that God is real and He is alive today. Walter A. Wheat, M.A.
