Le paysage de la répartition en Europe est multicanal, nous retrouvons les grossistes-répartiteurs full-line, les short-liners et la vente en directe. Parmi ces 3 canaux les full-liners sont le plus souvent sollicité, clé de voûte du circuit du médicament de par leur expertise dans la logistique et la valeur ajoutée de leurs services, ils satisfont la majorité des pharmaciens d'officine. Les pharmaciens sont attachés aux grossistes-répartiteurs, qu'ils trouvent plus avantageux. Ils assurent des obligations de service public, cependant leur modèle de financement met en péril leur activité. Des pistes sont explorées comme la mise en place de tarifs forfaitaires le but étant d'éloigner la rémunération des grossistes du prix du médicament et la rendre plus spécifique aux services d'intérêts publics rendus. L'établissement de nouveaux modèles de financement pourrait perturber l'ensemble de la chaîne de distribution du médicament.

Cette analyse, ainsi que l'étude des différentes mesures annoncées par le gouvernement, telles que le plan hôpital 2007, nous permet d'envisager les possibilités qui s'offrent à la répartition pour pénétrer ce marché. En outre ce travail s'appui sur une enquête de terrain de satisfaction qualité menée d'Avril à Juin 2004 auprès de 30 structures hospitalières de la région de Lille. Cette enquête a pour objectif d'évaluer les besoins des pharmacies hospitalières et de leur faire connaître les possibilités offertes par la répartition, telles que la présentation d'outils de passation de commande ou de base de données. Cette étude a été réalisée pour la société OCP Répartition lors du stage de 6ëme année de pharmacie dans le cadre du DESS de répartition pharmaceutique de Limoges.

Based on primary research conducted in Benin and Ghana, and additional data collected in Cambodia and the Ivory Coast, this volume uses artemisinin-based combination therapies (ACTs) against malaria as a central case study. It highlights the influence of the countries colonial and post-colonial history on their models for state regulation, production, and distribution, explores the determining role transnational actors as well as industries from the North but also and increasingly from the South play in influencing local pharmaceutical markets and looks at the behaviour of health care professionals and individuals. Stepping back, the authors then unpick the pharmaceuticalization process and the multiple regulations at stake by looking at the workings of, and linkages between, (biomedical health) pharmaceutical systems, (representatives of companies) industries, actors in private distribution, and consumer practices. Providing a thorough comparative analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of different pharmaceutical systems, it is an important contribution to the literature on pharmaceutalization and the governance of medication. It is of interest to students, researchers and policy-makers interested in medical anthropology, the sociology of health and illness, global health, healthcare management and pharmacy.

This gives rise to the problem of cross-language information retrieval (CLIR), whose goal is to find relevant information written in a different language to a query. In addition to the problems of monolingual information retrieval (IR), translation is the key problem in CLIR: one should translate either the query or the documents from a language to another. However, this translation problem is not identical to full-text machine translation (MT): the goal is not to produce a human-readable translation, but a translation suitable for finding relevant documents. Specific translation methods are thus required. The goal of this book is to provide a comprehensive description of the specific problems arising in CLIR, the solutions proposed in this area, as well as the remaining problems. The book starts with a general description of the monolingual IR and CLIR problems. Different classes of approaches to translation are then presented: approaches using an MT system, dictionary-based translation and approaches based on parallel and comparable corpora. In addition, the typical retrieval effectiveness using different approaches is compared. It will be shown that translation approaches specifically designed for CLIR can rival and outperform high-quality MT systems. Finally, the book offers a look into the future that draws a strong parallel between query expansion in monolingual IR and query translation in CLIR, suggesting that many approaches developed in monolingual IR can be adapted to CLIR. The book can be used as an introduction to CLIR. Advanced readers can also find more technical details and discussions about the remaining research challenges in the future. It is suitable to new researchers who intend to carry out research on CLIR. The authors aim to shift the emphasis in international debate and initiatives towards sustained Africa-based and African-led initiatives to tackle this huge challenge. Without the technological, industrial, intellectual, organisational and research-related capabilities associated with competent pharmaceutical production, and without policies that pull the industrial sectors towards serving local health needs, the African sub-continent cannot generate the resources to tackle its populations' needs and demands.
