Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the story of rape, incest, broken bones, blackened eyes and murder. Murder, you gasp! Yes, the murder of innocence of three children in North Carolina in the 1950s and 1960s. To say it was a dysfunctional family is much too kind. But it has been said that a young child remains dependent, even devoted, to the parents who brutalize him or her because they are the only parents and the only experience the child knows. I am telling only my story. My sister and brother have a story that is only theirs to tell. Now that my story is finally told, I hope I will be able to put it to rest at last. If I can use what happened to me to help others, that is the biggest lesson I have learned. Maybe my suffering can be used to save other children and women. That is my plan.

Book excerpt: Turning to the Catholic Church as a means of healing from childhood abuse, Hank Estrada looked for consolation and comfort but instead found cruel deception and ultimate religious betrayal at the hands of a very powerful religious machine, and in particular one manipulative, deviant priest. UnHoly Communion is a shocking and candid account of one man's personal battle with the darker side of the Catholic Church. Read the author's first hand accounts of how the Catholic Church continued to shamefully protect one of its sexual predators while he moved on from one victim to another. In this heart wrenching memoir, Estrada describes his road to hell and back as he lived through devastating sexual scandals and found the courage to persevere. This inspiring story of determination and resilience is for anyone who has struggled with any type of childhood abuse, adult exploitation, or the unspeakable sex crimes from once trusted clergy. Estrada connects with the reader and shows us how hope, peace and love can be found if you don't give up.

Book excerpt: "Curing Cancer" is a companion book to “Curing Mental Illness”, both describes the results from the author’s research he completed for the Canadian Space Agency's (CSA) Manned Space Program's Predictive Medicine Program in cooperation with the Russian Cosmonauts in 2012 and 2013. The CSA requested the author determine if his company's PHM technology could predict which astronauts in training would become mentally ill on a deep space mission lasting several years. An edited copy by the CSA of the results of the author's research were published at the 2013 IEEE/AIAA Aerospace Conference held in Big Sky Montana for the CSA's Predictive Medicine Program personnel and subsequently the full results of the author's were submitted to NASA Headquarters in 2013 and published on-line for public access in the American Journal of Applied Psychology. Curing Cancer provides a complete program for acquiring and recovering from cancer which is the same strategy used for defining the cause and recovery process for emotional and mental disorders such as depression, anxiety, OCD, through bi-polar or schizophrenia. The author includes the description of why and how cancerous cells are acquired by people and how they are nothing more than our own body's evolutionary process for mutating cells always working to adapt to the latest threats to human life while working to get us and keep us safe from outside threats and our own life threatening decisions and lifestyle. Curing Cancer includes two massive reference sections and excerpts in the body of the text from members of the existing and past mental health community members and their professional opinions that the author has refuted with his own research results at the beginning of the book. The author also includes results to answers to common questions left unanswered by the current medical industry community. The author hopes this book will initiate a new direction in developing faster recovery programs that are quicker than the one proposed by the author as well as a new effort for pharmaceutical companies to develop the drugs to suppress our fight-or-flight response (FOFR) that the author has illustrated is the root cause of cancers and emotional and mental disorders as well as all non-genetic based disorders, diseases and illnesses

Book excerpt: MYSTICISM IN NEWBURYPORT is a seven-book series revealing ancient secrets from masters of all cultures along with modern-day breakthroughs by scientists and quantum physicists of our times. These tales began flowing after Peter’s powerful spiritual awakening in Newburyport, Massachusetts. Newburyport is a quaint little, historic seaport on the coast of Massachusetts heading towards New Hampshire. Peter had been sober in the 12-step recovery program for many years and had recovered from his alcoholism. Peter’s love of Nature had brought him to the Newburyport area. This area is rich with Nature’s treasures, Native American Heritage and many tales from the tall cargo ships of olden days. High street was lined with homes of these Sea Captains. Peter’s awakening had given him new eyes and new highly evolved senses. Peter was to have powerful past lives experience with his Mystery Woman guide named Layne. Layne was a mystic that would tell people things about themselves that there was no way she could know. She would look you in the eyes and tell you your deepest secrets. She also knew about the Earth’s electromagnetic grids and helped Peter understand what he was experiencing in Newburyport. Peter’s new heightened senses could feel the electromagnet flow of energy and the convergence right below Market Square in Newburyport. Market Square was one of the crossroads for these powerful electromagnet energies that gives life to our planet. Peter was to share the secrets that were revealed to him in his writings.

This book was released on 2021-03-08 with total page 285 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book provides extensive information on pedophilia (sexual interest in the prepubescent body age), hebephilia (sexual interest in the early-pubescent body age) and sexual offenses against children, i.e., the various forms of child sexual abuse, including the use of child sexual abuse images, along with the current state of knowledge concerning offender groups. The book makes it clear that pedophilia or hebephilia do not inevitably lead to offenses against children – that there are those who keep their desires in their fantasies and do not act them out on the behavioral level. The World Health Organization classifies pedophilia as a mental disorder. It can be safely assumed that many pedophile men in a given community live their lives, unrecognized and adamant about hiding their sexual drives from society and from themselves, and who are genuinely motivated not to act upon their sexual fantasies. The numbers of exactly this particular group of pedophilically inclined non-offenders can be increased by preventive therapeutic measures. For this purpose, two treatment programs have been developed at the Institute of Sexology and Sexual Medicine at the Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin (University Clinic) since the initiation of the Prevention Project Dunkelfeld in 2005 – First, the project involving adult participants (Berlin Dissexuality Therapy: BEDIT) and later, another for adolescents (BEDIT-A), who find themselves attracted to children. Both program manuals are completely integrated into this work, which reflects 15 years of assessment and treatment experience.

The book is divided into 23 chapters. The introductory chapters present some basic concepts of medical ethics, such as the relation between the legal system and ethics, ethical documents, ethical theories, and ethical analysis. The following chapters address issues of importance in all fields of medicine: respecting autonomy, communication, relations within a healthcare team, professional malpractice, limited resources, and the portrait of a physician. In turn, the third part of the book focuses on ethical aspects in a broad range of medical activities – preventive medicine, human reproduction, genetics, pediatrics, intensive care, palliative medicine, clinical research, unproven methods in diagnostics and treatment, and the role of physicians who aren’t directly responsible for patient care. The last part presents students’ seminars with case stories. The book offers a valuable resource for physicians of all specialties, students of medicine, professionals, and students from other fields devoted to human health, journalists, and general readers with an interest in medicine.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book focuses on the way in which public debate and legal practice intersect when it comes to the value of free speech and the need to regulate "offensive", "blasphemous" or "hate" speech, especially, though not exclusively where such speech is thought to be offensive to members of ethnic and religious minorities. The themes addressed are of great significance for contemporary societies in many parts of the world, including Europe and North America, and although the volume focuses principally on the European context, it also addresses the theme on an international level. Contributions look at the transnational intertextuality of the debate, as well as comparing approaches to regulation in different countries (notably between the European Court of Human Rights and the United States Supreme Court). This book was originally published as a special issue of the Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies.
