This book was released on 2016-01-01 with total page 165 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Imam Tirmidhi narrates that the Prophet ﷺ ordered people to 'Be modest before Allah, as is His due.' The Prophet ﷺ then explained that 'Modesty before Allah means protecting the head and all that is in it; and protecting the stomach and all that is inside it. Furthermore, you should remember death and decay, for one whose eyes are set on the Hereafter keeps away from worldliness. One who accomplishes all of this is one who is modest before Allah, as is His due.' This work is an elaborate commentary on the aforementioned hadith. It covers Divine and Prophetic injunctions, as well as scholarly discussions relating to a variety of subjects, such as having pure belief in Allah; the various facets of spiritual purification; how to use the bodily parts in a lawful manner; maintaining honest financial transactions; the rules of good social conduct; and the remembrance of death and rulings connected to it. The treatise ends with a detailed outline of the substantial events heralding the End of Time and the events of the life after death; in the grave and on the Day of Judgement, and a description of the final abodes of Heaven and Hell.

Book Synopsis Muhammad the Liberator of Women by : Mirza Bashir-ud-Din Mahmud Ahmad
Download or read book Muhammad the Liberator of Women written by Mirza Bashir-ud-Din Mahmud Ahmad and published by Islam International Publications Ltd. This book was released on 2015-01-01 with total page 32 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Throughout history, women have been powerless and weak. Before the Holy Prophet Muhammad's arrival, a woman was regarded as man's slave and property, and no religion or nation could offer the woman rights and freedom. When their husbands died, they were forced to marry relatives or sold for money. There was no law that could protect them. Prophet Muhammad proclaimed in the name of God that men and women are equal. He declared that a man does not own his wife. He may not sell or force her into slavery. The teaching of the Holy Prophet raised the status of women as being not only equal to men, but also gave them freedom for social, physical and spiritual development. This book is about women's rights and freedom in Islam and shows that Holy Prophet Muhammad was indeed the liberator of women.

Download or read book Against the Flow written by John C Lennox and published by Monarch Books. This book was released on 2015-03-20 with total page 448 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Daniel's story is one of extraordinary faith in God lived out at the pinnacle of executive power. It tells of four teenage friends, born in the tiny state of Judah about twenty-six centuries ago, but captured by Nebuchadnezzar, emperor of Babylon. Daniel describes how they eventually rose to the top echelons of administration. Daniel and his friends did not simply maintain their private devotion to God; they maintained a high-profile witness in a pluralistic society antagonistic to their faith. That is why their story has such a powerful message for us. Society tolerates the practice of Christianity in private and in church services, but it increasingly deprecates public witness. If Daniel and his compatriots were with us today they would be in the vanguard of the public debate. What was it that gave that ancient foursome, Daniel and his three friends, the strength and conviction to be prepared, often at great risk, to swim against the flow?

Download or read book Pathway to Peace written by Ellen White and published by . This book was released on 2020-12-07 with total page 96 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Today's alphabet soup of doctrinal views on salvation mirrors the chaotic spiritual experience prevalent throughout much of Christianity: the largest Christian church in the world continues to be plagued by sex-abuse scandals; regular church attendance across many denominations keeps dropping; the divorce rate within Christianity is essentially the same as that outside of it; and shockingly large numbers of Christians, including many pastors, remain addicted to pornography, alcohol, nicotine, and other destructive habits. As a result, Christianity is steadily losing its influence on society-and its hold on the human heart. Yet Jesus promised, "this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations" (Matthew 24:14). But which gospel? Certainly not the one strangling much of Christianity today. Certainly not the one that has left millions of its adherents helpless victims to the power of sin. Certainly not the one that gives the unbelieving world reason to mock the confusion and in-fighting seen in many churches today. No, "this gospel" can only refer to the same gospel that the apostle Paul wrote about in Romans 1:16 when he said, "I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth." For over 120 years, this book has guided thousands of people into a life-changing relationship with God. In these pages you will find explained simply and clearly how the plan of salvation works, and how the Bible's promises can become reality in your life. Discover and experience God's pathway to peace and spiritual victory!

Book Synopsis Is the Reformation Finished? by : Tim Rumsey
Download or read book Is the Reformation Finished? written by Tim Rumsey and published by TEACH Services, Inc.. This book was released on 2017-12 with total page 132 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Is the Protestant Reformation finished? Was it simply a passing “family feud” within Christianity, an insignificant historical footnote with little relevance to modern life? This book masterfully explains the history of the Protestant Reformation and shows that the primary issue behind the Reformation—the question of spiritual authority—matters more today than it did 500 years ago. When Martin Luther nailed his Ninety-Five Theses to the door of that Roman Catholic church in 1517, his goal was to reform, not splinter, Christianity. The nails that sunk into that door, however, quickly fractured a religious and political system that had dominated Europe for a millennium. Five hundred years later, the aftershocks of the contest between papal power and the authority of the Bible continue, even as many claim that the Reformation is now finished. In today's world where all churches and all religions are called to unite under the banner of visible unity, we must not forget why the Reformers chose to separate, and why they were willing to die for this choice. The final battle still lies ahead. The Reformation is not finished—it has only just begun!
Book Synopsis Dante's Paradise by : Dante Alighieri
Download or read book Dante's Paradise written by Dante Alighieri and published by Indiana University Press. This book was released on 1984 with total page 420 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Paradise, which Dante called the sublime canticle, is perhaps the most ambitious book of The Divine Comedy. In this climactic segment, Dante's pilgrim reaches Paradise and encounters the Divine Will. The poet's mystical interpretation of the religious life is a complex and exquisite conclusion to his magnificent trilogy. Mark Musa's powerful and sensitive translation preserves the intricacy of the work while rendering it in clear, rhythmic English. His extensive notes and introductions to each canto make accessible to all readers the diverse and often abstruse ingredients of Dante's unparalleled vision of the Absolute: elements of Ptolemaic astronomy, medieval astrology and science, theological dogma, and the poet's own personal experiences.
