Download or read book Wildcatting written by Eloise Sterling Hirt and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2009-03 with total page 362 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A Word from the Author In a world filled with so many unanswered questions, its hard to find answers for the many questions without proper gudiance. We are yet faced with the missing piece of the puzzle trying to make it fit, yet everyone is searching. Without proper prayer and study of the scriptures, our perspective becomes confused. I have been expired by the anointing of such a great God to write this book. About twenty years ago, I wrote my first fiction novel but never published it. Today, my life has changed as I have been moved by the anointing of God to write. I have sought the Lord diligently for his will and direction for my life. Sometimes what we will is not always God's will. We make promises and never commit to them. We lose battles but never seek the definition of why we lost the battle and were never able to overcome it. You have decision in life, and choices, and for the most part, we choose which decisions we will make. As a born again believer of the Apostolic persuasion, I have been taught down through the years, and to this day I believe that the Lord has a destiny for my life, and whatever he has destined, it will come to birth. I currently attend Greater Grace Apostolic Faith Church, I thank God for all the men and women of God whom have made positive deposit into my life. The God we serve is a covenant God. What we will is not always his will... My prayer is that as you read this book, that the spirit of God will make a new manifestation in your life. I hope the spirit of love will begin flourishing in your life, and that the Glory of God may be revealed, and that you will experience a revelation from the God that made the heaven and the earth, who is the creator of this marvelous creation. It is my belief that when you read this book, it will have an inner effect on you as you allow it to minister to your spiritual man, and that it will change your life.

Book Synopsis A Philosophy of Walking by : Frédéric Gros
Download or read book A Philosophy of Walking written by Frédéric Gros and published by Verso Books. This book was released on 2023-07-11 with total page 273 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This “passionate affirmation of the simple life” explores how walking has influenced history’s greatest thinkers—from Henry David Thoreau and John Muir to Gandhi and Nietzsche (Observer) “It is only ideas gained from walking that have any worth.” —Nietzsche In this French bestseller, leading thinker and philosopher Frédéric Gros charts the many different ways we get from A to B—the pilgrimage, the promenade, the protest march, the nature ramble—and reveals what they say about us. Gros draws attention to other thinkers who also saw walking as something central to their practice. On his travels he ponders Thoreau’s eager seclusion in Walden Woods; the reason Rimbaud walked in a fury, while Nerval rambled to cure his melancholy. He shows us how Rousseau walked in order to think, while Nietzsche wandered the mountainside to write. In contrast, Kant marched through his hometown every day, exactly at the same hour, to escape the compulsion of thought. Brilliant and erudite, A Philosophy of Walking is an entertaining and insightful manifesto for putting one foot in front of the other.
