Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book describes my first nine years of growing up in India followed by my family’s immigration to Australia in 1948. It describes my school years in Catholic institutions and the problems faced by immigrants at that time. It details how a God-ordained event in year nine saw me progress from near bottom of the class to near top. How I gained a Commonwealth scholarship with no plans to attend tertiary education. It showed that with God’s guidance and against all odds, I eventually obtained a PhD in science and ended up doing research in academic medical hospitals. The journey also describes my falling away from Christianity and my eventual return to God in Christ months later through a Pauline like experience. It tells of my God-directed growth and inspiration in various areas of medical research. It also describes a parallel growth in my Christian spirituality. The book details how my scientific and biblical knowledge dovetail perfectly.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A once famous philosopher named Montaigne warned that using oneself as the subject to write about is only pardonable when the person is famous and exceptional, and I am certainly not. However, I was motivated to write this book to relieve my conscience by sharing some of my most private thoughts about some of life’s most important topics with my family and friends since I failed to communicate with them adequately in person on these matters. It has always been easier for me to express such intimate thoughts in writing. Since I am now in my last stage of living life, I thought it was time to share my thoughts on what I believe is most important in living life and that is Religion, Philosophy (how to live life well), and Politics. I don’t believe that politics is that important to living a good life, but it has become such a divisive force in our world that I decided it was worth discussing. There are many writers and speakers concerning these topics that I have observed and contemplated over my many years. But my book relies heavily on the teachings of Jesus regarding my religious beliefs and the philosopher Montaigne in my discussion on living life well (or better). In the POLITICS section of the book, I highlight my thoughts and beliefs about the priorities, values, and perspective a Christian should consider when engaging in the political process. The essence of my book is to highlight my belief about what is the PURPOSE of our existence. I think most people are seeking the answer to this question--- For me, it is the struggle for Virtue.

Book excerpt: Scientist Victoria McKenzie and her best friend, fine artist Abby, are looking forward to organising their double wedding and leading new lives in West Lancashire now that the restless spirit of Mauveine is finally content. But a clearing out of historic family junk triggers unexpected events, alerting Abby to question whether all in Orsbrick Hall has returned to the state of normality assumed. A strange artifact of pagan origin is discovered, exhibiting unusual characteristics which Victoria can’t scientifically explain, but her mind is forced to focus on more pressing and personal matters. Fifteen years on and Victoria’s life has evolved. Her dye business is flourishing, Abby runs her international art gallery and both families are nicely settled. However sixteen year old twins Maddie and Bel and their twin brothers Ned and Zac, out on a canal cycling trip, find a key to a local murder which sets off a train of peculiar happenings and confessions. Have the horrific, seventeenth century demons, over whom Mauveine had no influence, gone away or are they back for revenge? Abby quickly realises that the responsibility to confront the McKenzie curse lies with her and now Maddie. But have they the capabilities to overcome the myriad of ghostly, hideous challenges waiting, once the true and disarming nature of their friends and family comes to light? Prism of Purpurine is the second book in the Mauveine contemporary ghost story series
