Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: IMDC-SDSP conference offers an exceptional platform and opportunity for practitioners, industry experts, technocrats, academics, information scientists, innovators, postgraduate students, and research scholars to share their experiences for the advancement of knowledge and obtain critical feedback on their work. The timing of this conference coincides with the rise of Big Data, Artificial Intelligence powered applications, Cognitive Communications, Green Energy, Adaptive Control and Mobile Robotics towards maintaining the Sustainable Development and Smart Planning and management of the future technologies. It is aimed at the knowledge generated from the integration of the different data sources related to a number of active real-time applications in supporting the smart planning and enhance and sustain a healthy environment. The conference also covers the rise of the digital health, well-being, home care, and patient-centred era for the benefit of patients and healthcare providers; in addition to how supporting the development of a platform of smart Dynamic Health Systems and self-management.

Book Synopsis Oscillations and Noise in Low Pressure DC Discharges by : F. W. Crawford
Download or read book Oscillations and Noise in Low Pressure DC Discharges written by F. W. Crawford and published by . This book was released on 1961 with total page 110 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This analysis is concerned mainly with oscillations and fluctuations which occur either spontaneously, or as a result of deliberate excitation, in low-pressure, hot-cathode plasmas. Experimental observations on high and low frequency effects occurring spontaneously are discussed, and speculations are made on the possible gener-ATION MECHANISMS. In many cases, theories of these mechanisms have been treated in experiments involving deliberate excitation of oscillations, and comparisons are made where relevant. For device applications, and to relieve the difficulties which occur in quantitative experiments in plasma physics, it is important that the sources of spontaneous oscillations should be understood and suppressed if possible. The analysis includes a discussion of work which has been carried out to reduce these effects, and concludes with some suggestions for further lines of attack on the problems. (Author).
Book Synopsis "Sprites, Elves and Intense Lightning Discharges" by : Martin Füllekrug
Download or read book "Sprites, Elves and Intense Lightning Discharges" written by Martin Füllekrug and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2006-05-27 with total page 399 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Particularly intense lightning discharges can produce transient luminous events above thunderclouds, termed sprites, elves and jets. These short lived optical emissions in the mesosphere can reach from the tops of thunderclouds up to the ionosphere; they provide direct evidence of coupling from the lower atmosphere to the upper atmosphere. Sprites are arguably the most dramatic recent discovery in solar-terrestrial physics. Shortly after the first ground based video recordings of sprites, observations on board the Space Shuttle detected sprites and elves occurring all around the world. These reports led to detailed sprite observations in North America, South America, Australia, Japan, and Europe. Subsequently, sprites were detected from other space platforms such as the International Space Station and the ROCSAT satellite. During the past 15 years, more than 200 contributions on sprites have been published in the scientific literature to document this rapidly evolving new research area.

Book Synopsis A Study of Circuit-independent Oscillations in a Gaseous Conductor by : Burton Emil Dobratz
Download or read book A Study of Circuit-independent Oscillations in a Gaseous Conductor written by Burton Emil Dobratz and published by . This book was released on 1961 with total page 206 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: IN GASEOUS-PLASMA CONDUCTORS AN UNUSUAL TYPE OF CIRCUIT-INDEPENDENT, TIME-PERIODIC, LOW-FREQUENCY OSCILLATIONS OF CURRENT AND VOLTAGE CAN BE PRODUCED UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS. The effect is usually more pronounced at low currents and voltages near the threshold of conduction. A magnetic field is not necessary. The frequency generated is typically in the range of 1 kc to 1 Mc. The waveform may be sinusoidal or nonsinusoidal. Oscillations probably related to the type considered here are reported sporadically in the literature. The phenomenon was studied under controlled conditions. Oscillation amplitude and frequency were studied as functions of gas pressure, current, circuit capacitance and resistance, magnetic-field strength, and cathode temperature. A study of volt-ampere characteristics was made. The three classical explanations of oscillatory phenomena in gaseous conductors, (1) RC negative-resistance or circuit-controlled oscillations, (2) potential-minimum oscillations, and (3) ordinary plasma oscillations of space charge are analyzed and compared with experimental data obtained under controlled conditions. The phenomena observed appear to be definitely not related to (1) and probably not to (2) or (3). (Author).
